V: Namaskaram, Thanks for the solution. I am now listening to the esoteric teaching of a learned. I am in USA. I think there is no way to buy your books from here. But i will try to get. I know gayathri mantra, I do not know Yajyen, can you please tell me about it and how to perform. Is Gayathri Mantra has to be chanted three time a day or three times in the morning?
My beliefs: 1) A thief is defined who keeps extra then required now for future.(Any thing,
including punyam).
2) When you can’t control the time then be controlled by the time?
3) There is no past now( as it already passed), there is no tomorrow also (as it never comes), So, only today(this second) is available, so use wisely to be blissful. Extension of above is: If you are not blissful this moment, then you never be blissful. So, I am working towards to be blissful(which may not be possible ever, still keep trying) for the moment. As soon as I try to be blissful, some or the other thing come in between and throws me away. I know that my own consciousness only throwing me away. Here is the main question? I got married at the age of 26, and she was 17( do not know that she was 17 at the time of marriage, as it was arranged by my father and mother, and I saw her in pelli mandapam only). I came to know only after two days that she is 17 (she does not look like 17 though, same hight). Any way, I took very good care of here and told the above 3 sutras to
her and want to follow the same. around 5 years she followed as I mentioned as she was just staying with me only. (no poojas or anything, as at that time i firmly believe in the above 3.). Then she
started associating with surrounding people, I do not know, but she slowly started doing poojas etc., Started asking to cumulate money for the future. wants gold ornaments (I am very very much hate gold ornaments, as i am lean and can’t guard. I explained her, if you can’t guard those then you are not eligible. But you are asking so, you can have for a condition that if you loose them then you should consider that they re gone like that, never look for them.). Now my mind started diverting to throughaway my own principles, because, i do not want to suffer my wife. I want to respect her views and fulfil them. That way I deviated to avoid the marriage brake. One after other coming for ever from her till today. I gave all my accounts and every thing to her(financial things). Now,
every one word I speak (May be I do know how to speak) she takes the other directions. I plead, but she never stops speaking. She does pooja everyday for hours in the morning and evening. I really want Mental Peace. Now really, i am thinking that I want to leave every thing to them and want to live in peace. I want to live as low as possible, she want to live as HIGH (May be More then affordable). Example: I want to live in 1 Bed room house, but she wants more big house. OK with me but, she want me to do house cleaning work? I do not know how solve this
problem. So, planning to go some where temple area with just my clothes on and live rest of the life. we have assets which may be sufficient for my daughter and wife for the rest life with simple living). They (wife,kids) become slaves to the money. Please guide me. I heard Vedas says, vanaprastanam, Is it the right time and right decision? Help this pour soul.
Swami Ram Swarup: Namaskar, You are welcome, please. The meaning of Gayatri mantra, if not known by you is given below, please. While chanting Gayatri mantra in heart, sitting on any asan, its meaning should also be repeated. In this connection, I paste my article below:-
GAYATRI MANTRA
Please, start the day by chanting Gayatri mantra in the early morning sitting on suitable asan like Sukhasan, Siddhasan or Padmasan etc. concentrate on the point between two eyebrows which is called “Agyachakra”. The Gayatri mantra should be chanted along with its meaning both times. Also, please try to perform daily hawan even with Gayatri mantra. Then try to study any of my books daily and put up question if any.
After 15 days chant the Gayatri mantra only thrice thereafter do the name jaap of Almighty God-“Om”. The jaap must be done daily by heart and not orally.
The Gayatri mantra is as follows —
OM BHURBHUVAHA SWAHA TATA SAVITUR VARENYAM BHARGODEVASYA
DHIMAHI DHIYO YO NAHA PRACHODYAT
Meaning of Gayatri mantra stating each word is as follows. Its meaning is based on Vedas and Sanskrit grammar. Grammatical hints are in short please.
Om has three Hindi words. Aa, Uu AND Ma. Aa is meant for Aakaar from which three names of God are built, Viraat, Agni, and Vishwadi. From Uu = uukar from which Hirannyagarbha, Vayu and Tejas names occur and Ma = makaar from which Ishwar, Aditya and Praajyan aadi, holy names of God occur. Rigveda mantra 1/164/46 says God is one but His names are several. But here OM the holy name of God is only being explained.
VIRAAT = Viraat word is made from dhatu ‘Rajrideeptau’ i.e., manifest. Therefore Viraat means He who manifests the universe. As God manifests the universe, thus Viraat is the name of God. Rigveda mandal 10, sukta 129 states that like potter makes pot from clay, similarly God creates universe from non-alive matter prakriti. Prakriti is unseen matter. From unseen matter, the whole universe is created in the visible form. Science also says that matter is never destroyed but changes its form. Suppose a paper is burnt, paper changes its form into ashes. Then ashes are crushed and thrown in air. At this moment, the paper changed into ashes becomes invisible but was never destroyed. Similarly the whole universe at the time of final destruction is turned into prakriti i.e., into unseen form.
AGNI = From dhatu, “ANCHU GATI POOJANAYOHO” the word “AGNI is made. Its meaning is: He who is a form of wisdom. “SARVAJAYEN” i.e., Omniscient. That is, knows each and every atom of universe and even beyond universe. He who is to be known, to be gained and is worshipful. So Agni is the name of God.
VISHWA = Vishwa word is made from dhatu, “VISHPRAVESHANE”. Its meaning is He in whom the universe is entering or He who is entering the universe. So being omnipresent, Vishwa is the name of God.
HIRANNYAGARBHA = i.e., ” JYOTIRVAYIHIRANYAM”. Its meaning is, who is the base of all sun, etc., luminous lokas or He who is the living place of all luminous lokas.
VAYU = from dhatu, “VA GATIGANDHANYOHO”, vayu word is made. Its meaning is He who holds, gives life and destroys and is the mightiest amongst all. So the name of God is Vayu.
TEJ = from dhatu, “TIJA NISHANE”, the word Tej is made meaning He who is self made and self-enlightened and gives light to sun, moon, stars etc. God does not take light from anywhere but gives light to sun, moon, stars, etc. so the unbroken, unobstructed/unproduced and eternal form of light is Almighty God and not sun, moon etc. So the name of God is Tej.
ISHWAR = from dhatu, “ISH ASHWERIYE”, the word Ishwar is made. Its meaning is whose knowledge is thoughtful and true and He who has unlimited wealth, fortune and glory etc. Therefore the name of God is Ishwar. Here it is not out of place to mention that soul (man/woman) has limited qualities and are dependent whereas God is independent and has unlimited qualities that is why He is God.
ADITYA = from dhatu, “DO AVAKHANDANE”, Aditya word is made. Its meaning is the one who cannot be broken into pieces and thus cannot be destroyed. So God’s name is Aditya.
PRAJAYEN (PRAGYA) = from dhatu, “JYEN AVABODHANE”, Prajayen word is made meaning whose wisdom is totally without any misunderstanding and thus he who knows every matter and behavior of whole universe without misunderstanding. So God’s name is Prajayen. So here also it is not out of place to mention that illusion can never attack on God and God is totally free from illusion.
BHUHU = “BHUHU ITI VAYEE PRANAHA” i.e., He who is the base of lives of universe, is most beloved, even more than Prann i.e., breath. So Bhuhu is the name of God.
BHUVAHA= “BHUVAHA ITI APANAHA” i.e., He who is totally free from any sorrow, and the soul removes his own all sorrows after coming in contact with Him. So the name of God is Bhuvaha.
SWAHA = i.e., “SWAHA ITI VYANAHE” who is omnipresent in the universe and is holding the same. So the name of God is Swaha.
SAVITUHU = He who creates the universe. So the name of God is Savituhu.
DEVSYA= who gives all pleasure/merriment, so the name of God is Dev.
VARENNYAM = He who is the most supreme and acceptable. God is most supreme and acceptable for worship.
BHARGAHA = the purest entity (though God is formless, but finding no suitable English word of Sanskrit word, “SHUDH SWARUPAM” the word entity has been used.)
TAT = i.e., the God i.e., of the purest entity.
DHIMAHI = i.e., we must hold (sort of meditation) because
YAHA = the God
NAHA = our,
DHIYAHA = mind(i.e., in our minds)
PRACHODYAT = by inspiration (fulfil the mind with wisdom)
MEANING
“We meditate the God who is the base of lives’ of universe, totally free from any sorrow, omnipresent, creates the universe, gives all pleasure/merriment, most supreme and acceptable, purest entity; May the God enlighten our minds with wisdom by His inspiration”.
Here it is not out of place to mention that idea of a (one) Ved mantra is based on ideas of several Ved mantras. So in the above Gayatri mantra, there are three things —-
Bhuhu, Bhuvaha, Swaha, Savituhu, Bhargaha, Devsya are some qualities amongst unlimited qualities of God. These are called Stuti i.e., to say about God with His real qualities and not self made etc.
Secondly Dhimahi means meditation i.e., one should always sit in meditation and do hard and pious deeds for which he will have to study Vedas in full, while discharging moral duties towards family and nation.
Third and last is DHIYO YO NAHA PRACHODYAT. It is a prayer to God explanation of which is cited above.
Sandhya (meditation)
Sandhya means to concentrate well/meditate well to worship God. So when an aspirant does stuti (praise) Upasna (worship) and prarthana prayer) while chanting Ved mantras, he should concentrate fully on each Ved mantra.
In Vedas some mantras will be describe the divine qualities of Almighty God, which is called stuti. In some mantras there will be a prayer addressed to God which is called prarthana and in some there will be way of meditation being described which is called upasana. In Vedas like Samveda mantra 14 Sandhya must be performed in the morning as well as in the evening. However, if somebody has no time then he can perform Yajyen in afternoon or at night but mostly Sandhya is performed both times i.e., in the morning and evening. So, according to Vedas there is no trikaal Sandhya but simply Sandhya word is there.
In Rigveda mantra 2/23/1 there is a word, “GANNANAAM TWA GANNPATIM HAVAMAHE”. In the mantra Gannanam means, who is Supreme, amongst all the matters of universe, i.e., God and Gannapatim means he who is Supreme Lord of the matters of the universe i.e., God , “TWA” means you i.e., God, HAVAMAHE means accept that is accept for worship. Idea of the mantra is that one should always worship the God who is Supreme commander of the universe, who is omniscient and Almighty. Second meaning of sandhya is that after doing agnihotra, one should do meditation.
Yajyen means Devpooja, sangatikarann, daan. Devpooja means services rendered to five dignitaries who are called dev/devta. Those five dignitaries are- mother, father, atithi (guest who knows at least one Veda), acharya (learned of Vedas and yoga) and God. in addition, one should give respect and love to elders and shower love to younger ones.
Sangatikarann means services given to a true religious master at one’s level best so as to gain the spiritual education in return. Daan means donation. Donation is to be given to the true spiritual
master who is learned of Vedas, yoga philosophy and other holy granths and after doing true worship he should’ve gained full control over his senses, mind and perceptions. In addition, donation is given to real needy person. The said knowledge is attained in agnihotra, hawan and Yajyen. Now, the Yajyen means where the learned of four Vedas presides and Agnihotra is being conducted by offering aahutis in proper way under guidance of Brahma. Again, I may tell you that Brahma means alive, learned spiritual master who knows four Vedas, Ashtang Yoga Philosophy. I feel that the said worship i.e., Yajyen has become very difficult nowadays and mostly people avoid it but I would like to add here that such avoidance is sin, say four Vedas. I’ve prepared a CD also to perform agnihotra/Yajyen with Ved mantras and is available here.
Gayatri mantra should be chanted both times i.e., morning and in the evening, as quoted above. If time permits then it may chanted as many times as it suits. My heartiest blessings to your son and daughter to get success in the life. They are doing their level best in education.
(i) In Yog shastra (Yog Education) there is a word “Aparigraha” which means one should not take the goods/property beyond his requirement i.e., more than one’s requirement. So, those who gather the surplus matters they are automatically deemed to be sinners as per Vedas and shastras. But you see, until and unless a person gets eternal spiritual education from Brahma i.e., learned acharya and practises it in daily routine, he would not be able to control his senses, perceptions, mind , intellect and unnecessary desires. So, the preach usually remains merely as bookish knowledge without practising in life.
Punnaya i.e., result of pious deeds is not a kind of property, money, desire necessary requirement etc. Punnaya is attained after controlling the said matter by virtue of doing above quoted yoga practice etc. However, Yog shastra states that when the result of Punnya is obtained, one should be alert to avail it i.e., should not be availed /used beyond justified requirement. Otherwise punnya is
required to be gathered by doing pious deeds. Suppose, one has money but does not donate with fear that he would get its punnya. Is this justified? One should do pious deeds but without thinking about its result.
(ii) Yes, time is labouring on and does not come back, so Vedas tell that don’t waste time and always do Vedic pious deeds without wasting time. Atharvaveda states beautifully that time is like a galloping horse. Those who are lazy and do not do hard work according to its speed, they fail to attain the motto of human life. But the learned dignitaries sit on the horse i.e., do the pious deeds considering the speed of moving horse and attain the motto of human life i.e., salvation.
(iii) Past was there but now we are talking in present. The present pious deeds kill the past life’s sins and make the future bright i.e., give long, happy life. So, learned never think over past and future but concentrate over present time for doing pious Vedic deeds always with full concentration, devotion , dedication while discharging all oral duties towards family, society, nation and world. Tomorrow is future time, which will come and when we will use tomorrow it will be present.
Tomorrow is definitely there which exists in future. So, past, present and future are there which is calculation of time only but learned always concentrate on present. To get blissful i.e., highest happiness in life is not an easy job to get the same, one will have to follow the guidelines of Veda/holy granths i.e., one will have to act on them in life and not merely listen to them gathering bookish knowledge. It is a natural desire of the soul (our desire) to be always happy and not to face any sorrow, problem etc. But only hard-working person who listen to preach of learned acharya and follows the same in his daily life for example-doing name jaap of God, hawan, hard practice of Ashtang Yoga, while discharging all his moral duties, he only realises God and attains blissful life i.e., salvation. So, while discharging all moral duties of the family, one should simultaneously do daily eternal worship of God, some hints of which have also been quoted above. I would again advise you to read at least one book written by me (better if you study more books) to know the reality. Spiritual Cds are also available with spiritual preach and Bhajans which will give you immense knowledge of Vedas. So, you are right that as soon as a person tries to be blissful. Some
or the other thing comes in between and throws him away. In this process the whole life finishes but bliss is not realised. But very few know that why the said critical time comes. You see, it comes as
I’ve quoted above, due to the lack of knowledge of eternal philosophy of Vedas which emanate direct from God in the beginning of every creation which inspires the devotee to do Yajyen, Agnihotra, meditation, name jaap of God, hard practice of Ashtang Yoga under the guidance of a learned acharya (spiritual master). So, one should listen to truth and then adopt/hold in his daily life. So, belief is called the result of doing hard worship quoted above i.e., without hard working with devotion, dedication, no experience or belief is obtained. So, mostly we listen/study the thought and beliefs of ancient Rishi-munis, saint etc., but do not think deeply with concentration in presence of
learned acharya that from where and how good thoughts have emerged For example in the 12th chapter of Bhagwad Geeta, Sri Krishna Maharaj states
SAMAH SHATRAU CHA MITRE CHA TATHA MANAPAMAANYOHO
i.e., Oh! Arjun, be always stable in the situation of facing enemies and friends and also while being insulted or being respected. However, very few would know with the blessings of acharya while devoting time in worship that Sri Krishna Maharaj is expressing his pious views based on his hard Tapasya of Ashtang Yoga under guidance of his acharya -Rishi Sandeepan. Otherwise, a normal person, if still listens several times to said pious thoughts and belief yet in worst circumstances of confronting his enemies, he would sure loose his temper.
I would tell you the Vedic knowledge that nobody should hate gold, silver, money etc. why? Because God says in Vedas that person having family should gather gold, money etc. Vedas tell that a person should not be poor but must be a rich. However, he would become rich by doing meditation, Yajyen etc., as quoted above. So, in family life, one should also do hard work to earn the money. In Bhagwad Geeta, it is said- Yog and kshem i.e., whatever you achieve, you should protect it. So, if it is in your power then with your earnest money, as per Vedas, wife can keep the gold ornaments. Vedas says that in the married life, whatever property belongs to husband that also belongs to his wife and children and whatever is possessed by wife, all of it belongs to her husband. So, please shower your love, blessings and kind affection to your wife and children and get long, happy life.
However, as regards worship being done by your wife, this is not known to me. If you or she would brief me then only I will be able to throw the light on the same. Peace will sure be attained by you in family life, say four Vedas, shastras and every holy book. You see, Yajurveda mantra 40/2 straight away states that one will attain blissful life while discharging all moral duties and those who avoid the moral duties towards family, parents, they never get peace. So, please review your thought, keeping in view the eternal knowledge of four Vedas. You see, the divine pleasure attained by Sri Ram, Sri Krishna Maharaj, Dashrath, Harishchandra and there public can surely be attained by us by following their path. You see, they followed Vedic path. So, when mode of worship of your wife will be known to me, then only will I be able to throw light on the fact whether worship is according to Vedic law or against eternal spiritualism. You see, wife has to first please her husband otherwise, no result of worship is obtained by her i.e., her worship goes in vain. As regards her desire, she should know the financial capacity of her husband. In addition, she should obey
her husband. To go to temple, leaving behind the family will be a great sin, so please try to solve the problem peacefully by taking advice from here or from any learned person. Money is nothing when peace is not there. You see, there are several examples when several saints attained salvation without money. So, one should never disturb the peace of family. Worship can be done while discharging family duties. Your views may be true that they have become slaves of money but this
is not the final stage. When your life partner will be given the preach about family, parents, children etc. She would be a learned lady. Vanprasth means to go the spiritual master who is learned of Vedas after settling his family. But, in the Vanprasth stage, family is not left forever. One leaves the family for sometime and then comes back to guide the family again and this procedure continues. Son when your son will become financially independent then only can you adopt Vanprasth,
that too under instructions of learned acharya and if a person is not educated in Vedas, shastras etc., and has not done hard worship, meditation, practice of yoga and thus has not become ascetic then neither he is entitled to attain Vanprasth nor sanyas, say all four Vedas.
So, please obey Vedic instructions and get long, happy life with family. Also try to study my Vedic literature and listen to Cds after getting from here. My heartiest blessings to your entire family for long, happy life.

Har ek department mein aaj kal politics hai. Yeh ahankar, abhimaan, krodh, Madh, Lobh aadi hi bimariya hain jo lagbagh pratyek manushya ko pareshan kar rahi hain. Is ka elaaj to vidya hai aur vidya vidwan acharya se aati hai. Aajkal bhautikwad ki chamak damak main indriyon ke jhoote sukh mein fanse insaan ko vidya prapt karne ka samay hi nahi hai aur is prakar zindagi ko bekaar, Dukhmaya aur narak main dhkel rahe hain. My daughter, aapko jo bhi kisi ke kahe shabad bure lag rahe hain veh bhi avidya ke karan hi hain. jab dheere-dheere Ishwar bhakti se Avidya doore hogi to kabhi bhi kisi ka bura kaha bhi bura nahi lagea. Isliye mahatma gandhiji ke teen Bandar vikhyat hai- na bol bura, na dekh bura, na sunn bura. Aap isse doore rahne ki koshish karte ho yeh badi achchi baat hai. Jab aap Gayatri mantra ka jaap karogi to Ishwar kripa se aapke liye aapke parents ko acacha var jaldi mil jayega.
Mirabai ne ek jagah kaha hai “Taj Kusang satsang bethkar hari charcha sunn lijey”. Yeh aapne bada punya ka kaam kiya ki aapne buree sangat chhod di. Asal mein yeh aapne apne upar kripa ki hai. Dheere-dheere parantu thodi-thodi bhi agar rozana study karti rahogi to avashya successful ho jaogi.
Mental aur physical power pane ke liye thodi subah saer aur pranayam ki lom-vilom kriya seekh kar karni chahiye.

Swami Ram Swarup: Only firm decision makes a man able to control the senses. Secondly, talking to opposite sex must not be in a lonely place, it must be alone in a group with pure mind i.e., illusion must not be there while you are talking with opposite sex.
