About Hindus
The word Hindu was used for all the citizens who lived in India across Sindhu River. This word was used for the first time by Greeks and Unanis. Thereafter Arabians and Farsis used this word. So in reality Hindu means all the citizens, whether Sikh, Muslim, Christian or others, of India. Just like in America all type of citizens live there but are called citizens of USA i.e.,Americans.
Nowadays it is called that Vedas, shastras, Geeta, Ramayana and some other holy books of Sanskrit languages are related to Hindus. Vedas are the ancient holy knowledge of the world given direct from God always, at the time of creation. I have written a lot about this and would request you to please read www.vedmandir.com.
However, shunya (zero) is created but God is not made by anybody else instead Almighty God creates universe. Shunya is also space, which is also created by God. So God is above space, beyond calculation, beyond imagination and beyond description. Yet God has unlimited qualities for
example, Yajurveda mantra 40/8 says that God is everywhere, He has no shape, no nervous system, nobody can make hole in Him, He is Almighty and does not require any assistance from anybody else. He is eternal, self sufficient, cannot be seen with eyes, beyond mind. He creates universe, nurses and destroys and again nurses and again creates. Just a small portion of His power creates universe and His great quality is also this that the whole universe which is seen by us is nothing because the Almighty God is greater than this creation. He gives birth according to our deeds (karmas) He is witness of all karmas being omnipresent and omniscient, etc., etc., that is the God has unlimited qualities and
powers.
In Vedas, the name of human beings has been stated as “arya’ and not “ Hindus”. For example Rigveda mantra 9/63/5 states “Krinnvantaha Vishawam Aryam” i.e., make all the human beings Arya. Regards Aryas and Anaryas I paste my articles below (refer Rigveda mantra 1/51/8) –
ARYANS
The Vedas’ knowledge is generated in the heart of four Rishis about one arab, ninety six crore, eight lakh, fifty three thousand years ago. Uptil Mahabharat war, i.e., before 5,300 years ago, the said knowledge was obtained traditionally, heart to heart. That is by listening from an acharya and was memorized by heart as well. That is why, Vedas are called ‘Shruti’ also. ‘Shruti’ means the knowledge was listened from the mouth of the said four Rishis by disciples, then disciples became Rishis and they spread the knowledge of Vedas and so on. So, uptil Mahabhart war, the said knowledge of Vedas spread heart to heart, by listening method and no book was published. Now, a great Rishi named Vyas Muniji, who also listened to four Vedas from his acharya and remembered it by heart, decided for the first time to write the knowledge of Vedas on Bhoj patra. Finally, he wrote the four Vedas on Bhoj patra, in his hand-writing. In sixteen century, the printing press came into existence and four Vedas were printed and produced in the shape of four samhitas.
So, he who studies Vedas has control on senses, mind and intellect, does daily yajyen and practice of Ashtang Yoga Philosophy keeps himself away from sins, is called “Arya” otherwise “Anarya i.e., devil. So, Arya did not come from outside. They were living right from the beginning of the earth. And Vedic period starts at the time of beginning of each creation. Now, most of the saints lack the knowledge of Vedas and have made their own path of worship that is mostly against the Vedas. So, how can they oppose the illusion. Only, Arya samaj has been trying but their efforts are like cumin seeds in the mouth of camel because rest of the saints and public do not know about Vedas.
Instead, they promote the foreign spiritualism and culture. They visit abroad and thus collect huge amount from there i.e., Indian future has been made miserable. I am not against to promote foreign culture but not at the expense of our own Indian culture.
Aryans, as I have stated above, never came from outside. As regards, the oldest book, most of the people are in dark (ignorant). As stated above, the knowledge of Vedas originated in the heart of four Rishis, but the sequence was first Rigveda in the heart of Agni Rishi, second Yajurveda in Vayu Rishi, Third Samveda in Aditya Rishi and fourth Atharvaveda in Angira Rishi.
Manusmriti shloka 1/23 And Rigveda Mantra 10/181/1,2 states that there was an aspirant who obtained the knowledge of four Vedas from the above quoted four Rishis and is called “Brahma”. Vedas state that he who has knowledge of four Vedas is always called ‘Brahma’. That is, the same law is applicable in the present also. Now, you please think that Brahma got the knowledge from the above four Rishis, it means the Four Rishis were alive at the same time, then it is baseless to say that most ancient book is Rigveda, infact we should state that four Vedas belong to the same time period. For example- Twins take birth and their time of birth can differ for about few minutes but it cannot be told that the first born baby was more ancient than the second one. Vedas are not book, it is a formless knowledge like God. The handwritten books by Vyas muni were also written in same time period, because writer was one i.e., Vyas muniji. So, the four Vedas written by Vyas muni and the printed books of Vedas at present also, are not called Vedas but are called “Samhitas”. ‘Samhita’ means collection of ved mantras which have been printed in the shape of a book. Vedas are the preach which comes out from the mouth of learned acharya of four Vedas. The preach (voice) of the learned acharya is also formless and unseen.
Before Mahabharat, Manu Smriti (in Satyug) and thereafter Valmiki Ramayan (in Treta) had been written by Manu Bhagwan and Valmiki Rishi ji respectively wherein great events have been mentioned.

There are three main lokas –
(i) Dyulok which implies celestial bodies emitting light
(ii) Antarikshlok i.e., space
(iii) Prithivilok i.e., earth.
There are nine chhidras in the body – two ears, two eyes, two nostrils, one mouth, rectum, urinary organ.

God has given knowledge of four Vedas to the souls which reside in human body. God has not given the knowledge to bodies. Soul realizes God and attains salvation and not bodies. Soul is unchangeable and immortal whereas bodies are changeable and are destroyed. So souls either in the body of man or woman is entitled to chant all the mantras, to listen preach and to worship God. According to Yajurveda mantra 31/11 there is no any caste system except humanity based on good or bad qualities.
Almighty God is the purest matter in the universe. You see God is omnipresent therefore also is present in our stomach, stool, urine, blood, etc., but no any matter is able to touch Him. He (God) thus always remains the purest. So woman can continue her daily hawan also.

Concentration is not made on mind, but mind has to be concentrated on particular point or subject etc. It requires practice of Yam, Niyam, Asan, Pranayaam, Pratyahar, Dharnna and Dhyan then one attains Samadhi. In this path, guidance of a spiritual master who knows Vedas and Ashtang Yoga philosophy is needed. Holy name jaap of God helps a lot. I have written a book on Yoga which can be sent on receipt of your postal address. However, personal guidance as stated is essential. It is a moral duty of a student to concentrate on hard study and to look after his health. Avoid bad society always concentrate on your Brahamcharya. Awake early in the morning and after bath-brush etc., do holy name jaap of God at least for fifteen minutes. Go for morning walk and light exercises daily. Take plenty of water i.e., 15-20 glass in a day. Always respect your parents, elders and teachers. Must be soft spoken, Avoid TV to see bad scenes, films etc. This all will help you to concentrate in you study. Whatever, you study and learn, try to write on rough book a lot without seeing books etc. Please refer to the book- “Brahamcharya-Dukh Nivarak Divya Mani”.
Self-control
There is need to search for any lovable article which has been lost. In Satyug, treta, Dwapur Vedas’ knowledge was in vogue and observed by every household in letter and spirit. This was the reason that people at that time were soft spoken, did not use harsh language and exhibited extreme tolerance/patience.
One historical example of Sri Ram can be quoted here. When his wife Sita was abducted by Ravanna , he could easily asked his brother Bharat to help him with money, army, etc. Ram then could have easily conquered Lanka immediately to release his wife from Ravanna’s captivity, but Sri Ram was very patient and tolerant. He tried to convince Ravanna for one year so as to avoid devastating war. But when Ravanna did not agree then Sri Ram without seeking help of his brother king Bharat, took assistance of army of vaanars and declared war against Ravanna.
At present, due to lack of knowledge of Vedas, if neighbours say something provocative then immediately the fight ensues from the other end. Hence, we should accept the fact that due to lack of knowledge of Vedas and valuable advice of learned acharya, there is very less patience or tolerance among public and bad conduct, corruption, anger, sensuousness, ego, pride, greed has increased among people.
Peace has been shattered everywhere. You know that all souls want peace and happiness for which tolerance and patience is necessary. These virtues can be inculcated by listening Vedas and seeking shelter of learned acharya of Vedas.
R G: Guruji, I dream very often during the time I am sleeping. Sometimes i see something bad happening to me but sometimes I meet God. Other times many unusual things are seen by me. Many of my dreams repeats. Since I am a very spiritual person, is there something God want to let me know?
Swami Ram Swarup: Dreams
The dreams are mostly false. Dreams are based on the scenes, stories listened in previous life as well as in present life. Samveda is upasana kand and tells worship for one immortal formless God, who is almighty, omnipresent, omniscient. He creates, nurses and destroy the universe and again creates, Vedas say that no one was equal to God and neither no God took birth in the past at present and will never take birth in the future too. There was one God, is one and will ever remain one. He is only everlasting eternal and unchageable king/lord of the universe. So we all must worship him only. In this connection guidance from a learned acharya of Vedas is necessary.
It is true that dreams come on the basis of the scene which we have seen in present as well as previous lives’. For example- if a person has never seen a fountain and he sees fountain in dream, it means he had seen the fountain in his previous life, the effect of which was imprinted on his chitta (mind).
Secondly, dreams are false. Dreams may give some pleasure but become painful sometimes. If a business man observes that he was a king in the dream but when he will wake up, he remains business man only and not the king. Vedas state that one should try to do worship of God to remove the occurrence of dreams in sleep.
Future is always based on past birth’ deeds or is based on present pious deeds. future is therefore in own hand, he who discharges his moral duties faithfully does hard deeds, pious deeds with full concentration, devotion and dedication, his future is always bright. One should attend satsang making time available to learn truth and know pious deeds to make future bright.
Bad Dreams
As you may be knowing, human body is separate and soul is separate. We are souls and not body. Soul does deeds through his senses, perceptions and mind and effect of such good or bad deeds is made on chitta. When a person mostly indulges in worldly affairs alone, then he becomes unable to clear the effect of such deeds in the absence of real worship i.e., Vedas’ knowledge, Yajyen, name jaap of God, practise of Ashtang Yoga. As a result, the soul with in body sees those effects in the shape of dreams.
Such practice is finished only when a person continuously performs havan and does worship as cited above. Then he attains a long, happy life. The chanting of Gayatri Mantra is also a jaap and havan from Gayatri Mantra is also the best. However, you must also sit on Sukhasan, Sidhasan or Padmaasan, then concentrate on Agya Chakra i.e., point between two eyebrows , then close your eyes and then chant with in heart Om, Om, Om. You are also advised to do the following………
GAYATRI MANTRA
Please, start the day by chanting Gayatri mantra in the early morning sitting on suitable asan like Sukhasan, Siddhasan or Padmasan etc. concentrate on the point between two eyebrows which is called “Agyachakra”. The Gayatri mantra should be chanted along with its meaning both times. Also, please try to perform daily hawan even with Gayatri mantra. Then try to study any of my books daily and put up question if any.
After 15 days chant the Gayatri mantra only thrice thereafter do the name jaap of Almighty God-“Om”. The jaap must be done daily by heart and not orally.
The Gayatri mantra is as follows —
OM BHURBHUVAHA SWAHA TATA SAVITUR VARENYAM BHARGODEVASYA
DHIMAHI DHIYO YO NAHA PRACHODYAT
Meaning of Gayatri mantra stating each word is as follows. Its meaning is based on Vedas and Sanskrit grammar. Grammatical hints are in short please.
Om has three Hindi words. Aa, Uu AND Ma. Aa is meant for Aakaar from which three names of God are built, Viraat, Agni, and Vishwadi. From Uu = uukar from which Hirannyagarbha, Vayu and Tejas names occur and Ma = makaar from which Ishwar, Aditya and Praajyan aadi, holy names of God occur. Rigveda mantra 1/164/46 says God is one but His names are several. But here OM the holy name of God is only being explained.
VIRAAT = Viraat word is made from dhatu ‘Rajrideeptau’ i.e., manifest. Therefore Viraat means He who manifests the universe. As God manifests the universe, thus Viraat is the name of God. Rigveda mandal 10, sukta 129 states that like potter makes pot from clay, similarly God creates universe from non-alive matter prakriti. Prakriti is unseen matter. From unseen matter, the whole universe is created in the visible form. Science also says that matter is never destroyed but changes its form. Suppose a paper is burnt, paper changes its form into ashes. Then ashes are crushed and thrown in air. At this moment, the paper changed into ashes becomes invisible but was never destroyed. Similarly the whole universe at the time of final destruction is turned into prakriti i.e., into unseen form.
AGNI = From dhatu, “ANCHU GATI POOJANAYOHO” the word “AGNI is made. Its meaning is: He who is a form of wisdom. “SARVAJAYEN” i.e., Omniscient. That is, knows each and every atom of universe and even beyond universe. He who is to be known, to be gained and is worshipful. So Agni is the name of God.
VISHWA = Vishwa word is made from dhatu, “VISHPRAVESHANE”. Its meaning is He in whom the universe is entering or He who is entering the universe. So being omnipresent, Vishwa is the name of God.
HIRANNYAGARBHA = i.e., ” JYOTIRVAYIHIRANYAM”. Its meaning is, who is the base of all sun, etc., luminous lokas or He who is the living place of all luminous lokas.
VAYU = from dhatu, “VA GATIGANDHANYOHO”, vayu word is made. Its meaning is He who holds, gives life and destroys and is the mightiest amongst all. So the name of God is Vayu.
TEJ = from dhatu, “TIJA NISHANE”, the word Tej is made meaning He who is self made and self-enlightened and gives light to sun, moon, stars etc. God does not take light from anywhere but gives light to sun, moon, stars, etc. so the unbroken, unobstructed/unproduced and eternal form of light is Almighty God and not sun, moon etc. So the name of God is Tej.
ISHWAR = from dhatu, “ISH ASHWERIYE”, the word Ishwar is made. Its meaning is whose knowledge is thoughtful and true and He who has unlimited wealth, fortune and glory etc. Therefore the name of God is Ishwar. Here it is not out of place to mention that soul (man/woman) has limited qualities and are dependent whereas God is independent and has unlimited qualities that is why He is God.
ADITYA = from dhatu, “DO AVAKHANDANE”, Aditya word is made. Its meaning is the one who cannot be broken into pieces and thus cannot be destroyed. So God’s name is Aditya.
PRAJAYEN (PRAGYA) = from dhatu, “JYEN AVABODHANE”, Prajayen word is made meaning whose wisdom is totally without any misunderstanding and thus he who knows every matter and behavior of whole universe without misunderstanding. So God’s name is Prajayen. So here also it is not out of place to mention that illusion can never attack on God and God is totally free from illusion.
BHUHU = “BHUHU ITI VAYEE PRANAHA” i.e., He who is the base of lives of universe, is most beloved, even more than Prann i.e., breath. So Bhuhu is the name of God.
BHUVAHA= “BHUVAHA ITI APANAHA” i.e., He who is totally free from any sorrow, and the soul removes his own all sorrows after coming in contact with Him. So the name of God is Bhuvaha.
SWAHA = i.e., “SWAHA ITI VYANAHE” who is omnipresent in the universe and is holding the same. So the name of God is Swaha.
SAVITUHU = He who creates the universe. So the name of God is Savituhu.
DEVSYA= who gives all pleasure/merriment, so the name of God is Dev.
VARENNYAM = He who is the most supreme and acceptable. God is most supreme and acceptable for worship.
BHARGAHA = the purest entity (though God is formless, but finding no suitable English word of Sanskrit word, “SHUDH SWARUPAM” the word entity has been used.)
TAT = i.e., the God i.e., of the purest entity.
DHIMAHI = i.e., we must hold (sort of meditation) because
YAHA = the God
NAHA = our,
DHIYAHA = mind(i.e., in our minds)
PRACHODYAT = by inspiration (fulfil the mind with wisdom)
MEANING
“We meditate the God who is the base of lives’ of universe, totally free from any sorrow, omnipresent, creates the universe, gives all pleasure/merriment, most supreme and acceptable, purest entity; May the God enlighten our minds with wisdom by His inspiration”.
Here it is not out of place to mention that idea of a (one) Ved mantra is based on ideas of several Ved mantras. So in the above Gayatri mantra, there are three things —-
Bhuhu, Bhuvaha, Swaha, Savituhu, Bhargaha, Devsya are some qualities amongst unlimited qualities of God. These are called Stuti i.e., to say about God with His real qualities and not self made etc.
Secondly Dhimahi means meditation i.e., one should always sit in meditation and do hard and pious deeds for which he will have to study Vedas in full, while discharging moral duties towards family and nation.
Third and last is DHIYO YO NAHA PRACHODYAT. It is a prayer to God explanation of which is cited above.
How to do havan
Please sit in the morning to perform havan. Havan must be in sunlight then it is more beneficial. Then half a bowl of fresh water with a tablespoon must be with you with small twigs especially of mango tree if possible, havan samagri, ghee, camphor and match box must be there with you. Please sit on sukh asan on four times folded blanket and blanket must be on mat.
Sukh asan i.e., sit on duly folded feet in comfortable position. Then first close your eyes and concentrate between two eyebrows and chant Gayatri mantra three times within heart and not by mouth. Then open your eyes.
Take one spoon of water in right palm. Chant this mantra, OM AMRITO UPASTRANMASI SWAHA and drink the water which you have put in your palm. Then again take the spoon of water in right palm then chant the next mantra, OM AMRITA APIDHANMASI SWAHA, and drink the water. Then again take the water in right palm and chant the mantra, OM SATYAM YASHAH SHRI MAYI SHRI SHRAYTAAM SWAHA, and drink the water. Then wash the right palm while sitting, with the same water kept in bowl.
Then put the twigs into havan kund with one piece of camphor and burn it. During this process chant the Gayatri mantra again and again till such time the fire is lighted sufficiently. Then chant the Gayatri mantra and at the last add the word Swaha and offer ghee with tablespoon, quantity equivalent to 4 to 5 drops. And if you are alone then also offer in fire pinch of havan samagri from your right hand’s finger and thumb avoiding forefinger. So this offering may be of 11 times, 21 times or 51 times as the time suits. It is the simplest way and I have not quoted the complete method of Yajyen. The havan with Ved mantras are always offered as the best worship of God only please. Do havan daily and both times
