Anonymous: I am having sevai dosam. Should I marry the man who is having sevai dosam? What will happen if i marry a man without sevai dosam?
Swami Ram Swarup: Please, explain about the details of sevai dosh. I mean to ask, what is sevai dosh. However, in Vedas-shastras , upnishads, Geeta, Ramayan and other holy granths , no dosh like Pitra dosh, Mangalik dosh, kaal Sarp Yog etc., are mentioned. So, learned never accept any kind of dosh.

Alvin Lal: Pranaam Guruji, If somebody is punished for their bad deeds, you have mentioned before that it is God who delivering this punishment. As no human would want bad for themselves, even if they are serial killers. Similarly, when a whole country is punished like Haiti, or the recent earthquake in Cuba, where several have lost lives. I assume again God here is giving punishment. In this case
A) Is it a duty of human being to help out this country and it’s people because they are suffering ? If the answer is YES, and we can help them, we will be able reduce the pain a little, by donation etc… However is this not going against God. Meaning it is his judgement that the country was punished (based upon karma / deeds), so if we help by reducing the pain to this country, will that not be against his judgement to punish the country in the first place ? For that matter if we help anybody, who is punished by god for their deeds, then again is this not going against what god is intending to do in the first place ? Bahaut Dhanaywaad Guruji, Pranaam, Alvin

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. No doubt, God only awards punishment based on previous lives’ sins etc. there are three types of deeds- Sanchit, Prarbdh and Kriyamann. Main important deed is Kriyamann i.e., present deed in present life. This deed is new one. So, new deeds can either be sin or pious. So, violence or sorrows can be given to others by creating Kriyamann deeds( present life deeds). As regards earthquakes, floods and cyclones, Vedas-shastras tell- these are awarded by God, when person leaves Yajyen and forgets Vedic path.

We should always help those who need help. No doubt, God gives punishment but God has also taught in Vedas about mercy and help to mankind. So, he who helps it will be his present life’s pious deeds for which he will be awarded happiness etc., by God. So, such help will never go in vain otherwise, we will become cruel.

Neel: Namaste, i have a question in regards to a name for a baby girl. We would like to name our baby girl Eesha, but not sure what is the correct way according to Sanskrit to spell Eesha/Isha,Esha..
Namaste, Eesha is a beautiful Vedic word, the meaning of which is glorious/kingdom and in Yajurveda mantra 40/1 the meaning of pious word Eesha is Almighty God who is glorious. So your baby name Eesha is glorious. Consist of spelling EESHA.
