Dr. Harish Arya: In our Pakistan in Punjab when we go, there in the restaurant when we order for briyani they say that it is chicken-briyani but when we say to them that we are vegeterian then they say that we will remove the chicken from briyani, should we take that type of briyani because chicken is adharmic food?
Swami Ram Swarup: No, please. Biryani which is non-vegetarian will always remain so whether chicken is removed or not.

Sagar Anmalla: Swamiji pranam if a child is not given proper knowledge and is brought up in a dense jungle, he will definitely be uncultured, and would behave like animal. Can we blame the child for this kind of behavior? Or his destiny? Similarly today’s modern world is like a jungle and we all are brought up in this jungle hence we all are under the influence of illusion pomp and show. Should we blame ourselves or our destiny? Had if we all had a chance like our ancestors rishi munis we would have been on the right path. So should this world be blamed for the present situation. After the Mahabharatha war the knowledge of Vedas has declined but who is to be blamed? Swamiji please ignore my ignorance and enlighten me.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. In some articles, I have given only an example of a child in a dense jungle who can’t be learned without getting education. As regards the tribes who are still in jungle are not educated, it depends still on their destiny i.e., the deeds done by them in their previous lives. Yes, mostly the people are under the influence of illusion and that is why they indulge in pomp and show, materialism etc. In these cases, ourselves and destiny i.e., both are involved.

Those who are entitled to do the true worship of God while discharging duties are indulged in materialistic articles, pomp and show etc., at their own wish because inspite of their sittings with learned acharya, based on their destiny, they prefer worldly attraction, etc.

Second are those who did sins in previous lives and have been now earmarked by God in Asur yoni (Yajurveda mantra 40/3) where they cannot do true worship of God. Otherwise, if all the people are indulged in illusion automatically or by the influence of God etc., then they would be called innocents and hence they would not be liable for punishment. So, the God’s law vide Yajurveda mantra 7/48 is imposed on the universe that we the souls do pious deeds/sins and the God awards the punishment in the shape of happiness and sorrows respectively. Similarly, in the absence of spiritualism modern world is like a jungle. As regards chance as was had by ancient Rishi-Munis, neither God gave chance to those ancient Rishi-Munis nor will give to the modern world. Actually, God provides human-life giving life only which is the only chance to utilize it to worship God to get salvation while discharging all moral duties.

So, it is our thought and hard-working that we make ourselves able to follow the spiritualism. God only helps those who help themselves. So, we must go ahead. Rishi-Munis got the human-body and they utilized the human-body to do pious deeds according to Vedas so as to realize God and to kill all the effects of previous lives’ deeds (sanchit and prarabdha karmas).

At that time, (during Mahabharat time) our aged mothers and other sisters etc., could not continue Vedic worship due to sufferance of shock received by numerous deaths of warriors. So, it was their fault. Nowadays, mostly the spiritual preach is being delivered everywhere. But usually people do not concentrate and those who are under the influence of spiritual gurus who are against the Vedas are definitely in trouble i.e., they are suffering from several diseases, problems, tensions, even in some cases poverty as well. But they do not think that when they are worshipping God according to the preach of their so-called gurus, then why are they in trouble? Should they not change their gurus and come forward to reach at truth. So, blame rests always on us.

M N ROY: Sri sukdeo Muni ki janam katha jab be pakshi ban kar vyas Muni ke patni ke mukh me chale gaye the ,kis jagah par hai, arthat kis puran me ye katha hai.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. No, please, I do not believe in any purann because several of its chapters do not tally with the Vedas’ knowledge and hence the learned persons have declared it unauthentic.

Puranns

About Puranns, I have clarified that those who believe in Puranns may go ahead with their views. However, study of Vedas which emanates direct from God reveals that the matter of Puranns is against the Vedas.

Purann’s chapter is lengthy one, please. In a ancient hand written book ‘Himadri’ belonging to the reign of King Bhoj, it is written that Bhagwad Purann has been written by Bopedev. So, the aspirants must also search out the fact. Based on the above quoted book, learned of Vedas accept that Purann has been written by Bopedev. Puranns as a whole are not according to Vedas because the writer might have been ignorant about the eternal knowledge of Vedas which emanates direct from Almighty God in the beginning of the earth, at the time of creation. However, those who have faith in Puranns may continue. However, the learned of Vedas do not consider the Puranns as an authentic book. Also, who starts study of Vedas, he leaves the Purann and concentrates himself in the knowledge of Vedas only.

Facts/truth are always tallied with Vedas as said in Yog Shastra sutra 1/7. Vedas are our self-proof being divine knowledge which emanates direct from God. Secondly, science and logical discussion also prove the truth. Now I state here a story of Purann, please. First of all see Yajurveda mantra 32/6, “YEN DYAU RUGRA PRITHIVI CHA DRIDHA” The meaning and idea of the said mantra is that the earth is rotating and God holds it. As the result, the earth, for the last about one Arab, 96 crores, 8 lakhs and 53 thousands and 108 years, is functioning well and is rotating in space without any other assistance. Mantra states that the earth has been well held by God i.e., earth rotates under the control and administration of the God.

Now, the story of Purann tells that a devil named Hirannyakasha captured the whole earth turning it like a mat. Then he slept keeping the earth under his head like a pillow. Now, Vishnu took avtar of boar and the boar (varaha) then snatched the earth and took it into his mouth. Then a fight ensued between boar and the devil Hirannyakasha. In the end, the boar killed the devil. Now, we have to discuss on the said point that when an Almighty God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe and nobody can even be equivalent to the Almighty God and when the Almighty God has held the earth and has been nursing well then how a devil Hirannyakasha dare to capture the earth and when the earth had been captured then on which earth the feet and rest of the body of the devil was resting and can the earth be turned into a mat?

So, please you yourself think whether the said story be considered true or not. Secondly, as per Yajurveda mantra 1/5 and Rigveda mantra 3/56/1 the fundamental law of nature is unchangeable. So nobody can capture the earth and God can not take avtar, under the firm and unchangeable law of Vedas.
