S: Swamiji, I brought a stone from holiday which resemble a Shivling which I do abhishek and offer water but the stone is by its self and don’t have a base (yoni). I want make a base for it but there is obstacle. Is it a must to have a base? Or can the linga be worshipped on its own? Before I do abishek I do mala X 108 (Om namah sivaya) then begin my abhishek. Is this correct?

Swami Ram Swarup: Mahabhart epic has 10,000 true shlokas whereas uptil now more than one lakh shlokas have been added in Mahabhart epic, which are false, please. So far as 10,000 shlokas are concerned nothing has been mentioned about the non-performance of Yajna and worship of Almighty God. as regards Indra, in Vedas Indra means Almighty God or a learned acharya, Yogi, soul etc.

Varun: My question is in reference to Atharvaveda mantra 1/14/1 “ A good wife should establish herself permanently in her husband’s house just as mountain firmly establishes itself on ground. Does that mean girls can’t have careers of their own? And also are Veda against music and dance?
