Anoop: tell me that when should i do shirsasan in morning & when can u tell me full process of doing shirshashan(Ashan)?
Swami Ramswarup: The best way of shirsasan or any other asan is four to 6 o’clock in the morning and 5to 7 in the evening. It should be done in clean place with peace of mind and empty stomach. Any asan or pranayam should be learnt
under the guidance of a perfect Yogi(Guru). You can learn it from me by fixing date & time suitable to you.

Siddharth Bajaj: Can I do pranayama between 3a.m to 6a.m ,as it is believe that 3 to 6 a.m is bramamurat (spiritual time)?
Swami Ramswarup: Brahmamoohurta starts when first redness of the rays of the sun appears in sky and that time is around 4 a.m., in the morning. This

Brahmamoohurta is the best time to worship Almighty God i.e., Brahma. One must therefore do worship i.e., study of Vedas, Name jaap of God and practice of yoga

philosophy i.e., yam, Niyam, Asan, Prannayam, etc.

Hemant: Can you please explain me in detail yog nidra? I have heard for a sadhak, he has to get up at brahma muharat & do his sadhana otherwise everything done

is of no use. My question here is for a sadhak if he really wants to get up at brahma muharat? How does he get the minimum sleep required for his body to be relaxed?

Can you please explain me how do the yogis use to relax their body within no time was there any technique like yog nidra? The time each day, which is lost while

sleeping can be utilized for meditation i.e 1/3 of our life is lost while sleeping so please help me out in guiding any possible measure to save the most valuable
time. What is the exact brahma muharat starting & ending time? How to concentrate or dyan kendrit or dhyan dharna?

Swami Ramswarup: For a healthy man six hours sound sleep in the night
is enough please. So, one must try to sleep at 10 o’clock to wake up early in the morning. A Yogi who does hard practice of Ashtang Yoga, reaches a stage where he

stops his Chitta vritti.

YOGAH CHITTA VRITTI NIRODHAH. Meaning: yogah= yoga, chitta=combination of intellect, egotism and Mann, i.e., faculty which receives knowledge from five senses and

passes the same to intellect. Vritti=effect of various forms, nirodhah= stoppage.

Nidra is a vritti so he gets full control on Nidra (sleep). So an aspirant must first listen to Vedas, perform Yagya, do name jaap of God and practice of Ashtang yoga.

Rest of the siddhis are obtained automatically with the grace of Almighty God and learned acharya. When a yogi becomes habitual to do prannayam then he gets a siddhi

that his prannayam (stambhak) starts automatically, even while sleeping and hence utilization.

Braham muhurat starts at about 4:00 o’clock in the morning. Concentration is done after getting Yoga advises from a learned acharya in person. It can not be described

in book or here please.

Navneet: I practice gayatri mantra at 5 am, and after doing the jaap I go back to sleep, because i have to catch up with my sleep. I go to bed late because of

long work hours. Am I making a mistake? Or not?
Swami Ramswarup: There is a basic principle of Rigveda that everybody must wake up early in the morning, better at about 4 O’ clock but latest before sunrise.

So, you wake up at a good time and atmosphere.

Secondly, Vedas tell that no one should take sleep after sunrise. So, please try to obey the Vedas. You’re appreciated for doing Gayatri jaap in the morning, as said

by you above but after jaap you again go to bed which is a problem. Please write when you go to bed in the night first.

Sekhar: I do various types of meditations but they take time – one hour including pranic healing meditation.I am looking for source how to get energy / shakthi

to physical
body spending little time as in cities like Hyderabad and working from 7.30 AM till 9 PM it is difficult to get time to do meditations. Kindly guide me. Can I get

solution/reply through email please.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you for long happy life please.you must always awake early in the morning i.e., at about 4.30a.m. for a morning walk and light
exercises. You may then do about 8-10 simple asans daily and lome-vilome pranayaam.this process may take only one hour and then you may prepare yourself to go
to office etc. This will give you mental and physical energy and long life. Actually our birth is not only meant for hard work to earn only but simultaneously we must

also devote time in spiritualism which is the main motto of our life, otherwise the whole life will be ruined.

S. Seshagiri Rao: How to be more subtle in Samadhi?
Swami Ramswarup: To get progress gradually in ashtang yoga i.e.,
Yam, niyam, asan, pranyaam, pratyahar, dharna, dhyan and samadhi. Loneliness, daily hard practice at least both times first early in the morning from 3 O’ clock
to at least 6 or 7 O’ clock then at least four or three hours in evening/night. Brahamhary, study of Vedas daily and other holy books written by Rishis and
to do pious deeds accordingly is necessary.

Suresh Bhange: Astang yoga apane rojana jindagi me kaise prayog aa sakata hai? OR Astang yoga ka rojana ki jindagi me prayog karane se hum kaise results prapta

kar sakate hai?
Swami Ramswarup: ASHTANG YOGA PHILSOPOHY IS ALWAYS LEARNT PERSONALLY FROM A YOGI. It is practised early in the morning and evening too who has the time for the

same. It gives ill free long life and realizes almighty God. I have written first part of yog shastra on the subject and can be sent on receipt of your postal address

Dr. Sweta Pandya: Which time is best for meditation? Which mantra we have to chant during meditation? What are the diferences between the mantras of Gayatri and

lord Shiva?
Swami Ramswarup: Best time is early in the morning between four O’ clock to five. And in the evening before going to bed. During meditation we must chant the

holy name of God and Gaytri and must reflect upon the same within mind only and not by mouth. Gaytri and OM are mentioned in Vedas by God himself please.

Roopal: I have learned so much by the readings here and your philosophy. Thank you. I would like to know what pooja, mantra,.. should I do in the morning and

at what time? I get busy in the morning, so is there a short version?
Swami Ramswarup: Every Ved say to awake at about 4 O’clock in the morning. So please try to awake accordingly because it will give you a long happy life. Then

after going bathroom etc., one must sit on a asan to recite Gaytri mantra in mind with its meaning. Thereafter one must chant the holy name of God (OM) in mind sitting

on the same asan. This process at the initial stage may take half an hour. Then it must be increased according to suitability of time. This process must be repeated in

the night before going to bed even for 15 minutes. However this all knowledge is obtained in person from a spiritual master please.

Jeevan Singh: Swamiji few days back I was going thought one of the guru Shabad where the guruji says �We should always meditate on The Lord day and night� If

this is so please explain me what kind of meditation does The Guru mean cause half of our human day we spent in working and accepting our responsibility toward our

family and society.
Swami Ramswarup: Meditation while sitting on asan is done twice i.e., morning and evening as per available time. But while discharging our duties we must

remember always the holy name of God or God that God is everywhere and one should not do sins. So one should always remember the presence of God everywhere and this is

just like a meditation that we are remembering God.

shradha: Can you please tell me which is best aasan for increasing the metabolic rate. I want to the name of the aasan & what time it should be done?
Swami Ramswarup: Every asan will help you and one must therefore learn at least ten asan, but actually pranayaam and meditation will serve the purpose. Asan and

pranayaam must be done within four o’ clock to six o’clock in the morning and in evening too at the time of sunset.

Raju: Swamji, Is it better to start ur day with gayatri mantra. Can u specify how start ur day?
Swami Ramswarup: Yes, starting of a day with Gayatri mantra is eternal, pious and faithful to everybody. I too start with the same from 3’O clock in the morning

and thereafter remembrance of Guru Diksha’s name of God, Yoga, pranayam, meditation and Yajna, study and teaching of Vedas and Yoga, teaching of Sanskrit Grammar

etc.,etc., etc. I have also given details of Gayatri mantra on the web site. Please study.

Prakash: per day meditation should do for how many minutes
Swami Ramswarup: Not only meditation but at least asan and pranayam must also be included with meditation. At least one and half hour morning and evening must

be availed to get good results.
