Vinay: Pranam Swamiji, Lots thanks for clarification. I have one more question please. I heard life span of human being varies from yuga to yuga. In Kali Yuga the life span is very short say 100years. In that case the procedure of meditation will vary or same from the time Vedas given by
God. My Sincere Pranam. Vinay.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. You are welcome, please. There are four
Yugas i.e., Satyug, Treta, Dwapur and Kalyug. Each Yug has its time duration as under-

About Yugas
There are four yug – Satyug, Treta, Dwapur and Kaliyug.
Satyug = 17 lakhs 28 thousands years
Treta = 12 lakhs 96 thousands years
Dwapur = 8 lakhs 64 thousands years
Kaliyug = 4 lakhs 32 thousands years

As stated in Rigveda, the Yug, time, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds etc., are made by God, who is always away from all sins and illusion etc. So, every month, day, time etc., and every
matter of the universe has been made by God for the benefit of human-beings. As mentioned in Yajurveda mantra 7/48, all of us are free to do any sins or pious deed but result is awarded by God Himself in the shape of sorrows and happiness respectively. So, when the bad deeds done by a person is to be experienced in the shape of sins and the result of sins in the shape of sorrows then, the persons state that this particular day was bad for him. Infact, day was not bad, the said person did sin and the God awards result of sin in the shape of sorrows, which the person had to experience. It is a clear understanding that result of pious deeds and result of bad deeds in the shape of happiness and sorrows will have to be experienced on a certain day or time only. Otherwise, there is no other way to experience the result of deeds. So, why to blame day or time etc. Why don’t we try to know the fact that a person did sin and had to face its result on particular day and time. As per Yajurveda mantra 3/62, if a person follows Vedas and always does pious deeds then the age of
person has been earmarked, by God upto 400 years keeping aside the yugas etc. In the previous yug, i.e., Satyug, Treta, Dwapur, eternal and everlasting knowledge of four Vedas which emanates directly from God was in vogue in public, they used to follow teachings of the Vedas and therefore, their life span was more.

After Mahabharat war, the Vedas knowledge started declining and public therefore does not know Vedic teachings and as a result does not follow it. So, naturally life span of people has decreased, reason being not to know and follow Vedic teachings. So, it has no concern with any yug, day, time etc. In Vedic teachings, I quote examples which make the people able to increase not only their life but to enjoy long, ill free, happy life.

In the ancient times, people based on Vedic knowledge, used to perform yajyen/agnihotra daily, maintaining Brahmacharya and practicing Ashtang Yog in family life as well. The said pious deed makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise and increase life span. People at that time used to serve and give respect to mother, father, learned guest, acharya selflessly. In return, they got blessings of said dignitaries which increased their life span etc., etc.

Upendra: Please send me Yajyen Karm and Patanjal Yog Darshan part 1 & 2.

Swami Ram Swarup: Books are being sent to you, please.

MCG: Pranam Guruji, If one is sinful in this life also, then is it that there is no chance of getting human life after death? Is there a substitute of sins by good deeds to make the sins zero in this life only? Which are those good deeds? I was following the mentioned shubh karma before
I committed sin. I beg your blessings so that I can reach you and get the knowledge from you. My family is not aware of Vedas and does not believe in Guru. But I need your assistance for my spiritual growth. What should I do? Please guide. Thanks
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Next birth is awarded by God based on sanchit karmas. I paste my article on karmas theory.

Three types of Deeds

There are three types of deeds (karmas) – sanchit, prarabhadh and kriyamann. Suppose one soul has to take birth (body). It means he has to face total number of deeds of his all previous lives and these
deeds are called sanchit karmas but sanchit deeds are huge/unlimited and cannot be faced in one life. So the karmas which can be faced in one life are called prarabhadh (luck-destiny). So God has not made our luck at His own but Almighty God has considered the deeds which we have already done.

Yajurveda mantra 7/48 clarifies that human being is free to do any deed good or bad but God only awards the result. Now the balance deeds from sanchit deeds will be counted in the next life. Now the deeds which we do in our day today present life are called kriyamann.

If we do pious deeds according to Vedas, shastras and holy books and based on pious preaches of Rishi, Muni/learned saints then our all sanchit deeds are burnt and we can get salvation. Human beings are free in the matter of doing deeds good or bad. But result will be awarded by God. So we must worship and do pious deeds under guidance of a learned Guru. One should go always ahead for hard working, pious deeds, worship to make future bright himself. One should always work
hard towards a right path.

Worship does not mean that we are free to discharge only our family duties, education, etc., but rather it is a sin. We have to get progress in both way simultaneously i.e., spiritualism and worldly
progress i.e., science, education, duties towards family etc. God creates the universe according to His eternal law framed in Vedas which are always unchangeable and unchallengeable. So we have to follow the law of God always to get long happy life.

I think I have already sent to you the rest of reply, please confirm. If not received send your query again. You’re always welcome here to get Vedic knowledge. Vedas tell that daily yaj destroys the sin.
