Prakash: Swami Jee, Charan vandana. Apne prashnon ke uttar aapse paa kar kritarth hua. Dhanyavaad. Prantu abhi bhee mujhe yeh naheen patta chal paaya ke ‘HINDU’ naam hamen aaj se kitne varsh poorv diya gaya? kya tees lakh varsh poorv?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Greek and Unanis uttered the word Indu for the first time because India is situated at the banks of river Indus. thereafter Arabians used ‘Hindi’ word for us and thereafter Hindu. Therefore the word Hindu has been evolved by foreigners, but exact date of pronunciation of Hindu word by foreigners for us is not known please.

Lata: Respected Swamijii, Charan Sparsh. Swamijii I want to ask that if souls are separated from God then why should we attain moksh? I am reading your book Vedas A divine light in which you have written in reply of some one query that God created humans so that soul can reside in it as it will not be good for someone to sleep thousands of years if even after moksh we have to take rebirth as soul is different from God then why should we work hard to get moksh?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. You see, the meaning of moksha is to experience the divine pleasure at all times. If, soul is not separate from Almighty God who is form of divine pleasure then how a soul can experience the divine pleasure. You see, God will not experience the divine pleasure. If soul is considered God then soul can create the universe and should always be in pleasure which is not seen. Soul faces the result of previous lives’ deeds in the shape of happiness and sorrows whereas God is far away to face.

I‘ve stated the thousands of years for a sleeping soul to make understand the fact only that normally if a person does not do any work he is called lazy and is condemned by the society. But reality is not this which I’ve already stated that the death and birth is eternal, everlasting and is a natural process.

Bharat: This is in regard to the explanation 10 sloka 1 chapter of Gita. Is the meaning of paryapta not “limited”. Why will duryodhana say that his army is limited? He waged the war with the immense belief that he can win it because he was the king he had a comparatively large army in number and many great people like Bheeshma, Drona, Karna who were equally heroic like Arjuna
except the fact that Dharma was not on their side.
Swami Ram Swarup: The meaning of Paryaptam is “empowered/enough” and meaning of Aparyaptam is which is not empowered or not enough. Army of Duryodhan was not limited but it was more in number than Pandavas’ army. But Duryodhan knew the power of five Pandavas and their warriors. Moreover, he knew the power of Sri Krishna Maharaj and the technique of Sri Krishna Maharaj to win the war. Thinking all this, he is trying to make Dronnacharay understand to kill Bheema, Arjun i.e., Pandavas as soon as possible.
