Rupali: “I had no shoes and complained,until i met an individual who had no feet.”What is the philosophical significance in this statement?
Swami Ram Swarup: Poverty, richness, happiness as well as sorrows etc., are based on the result of previous lives good and bad deeds which are to be faced in the shape of happiness and sorrows respectively.
So, we must always remember God Who awards the result of our previous lives’ deeds in present life and whatever good or bad we do, will have to be born in next birth. So, if someone lacks legs etc., and is unable to utilize the worldly material in the shape of shoes etc., and those who are poor and unable to purchase the shoes etc., it means it is with consent of Almighty God. That is why it is said:-
“Hum Hai Usmein Raza Jis Mein Teri Raza Hai”
i.e., we must be satisfied with the means available with us.
However, God helps those who help themselves. Therefore everybody must do hardworking in both paths i.e., to get progress in worldly matters like science, deed etc., along with spiritualism. It is stated in the Vedas that if a person follows Vedic path in life, he may change his luck i.e., a poor can become rich as well.

Ved Ishwar se nikley avinashi gyan hai jismein kewal ek nirakar Brahma jo srishti ko rachta, palta aur sanhaar karta hai, ussee kee hee pooja karne ke liye kaha hai, kisi doosrey ki kadapi nahin.

In sab ke ilawa koi devi/devta na tha, na hai, na hoga, aisa ved kahtey hain. Atharvaveda to yahan tak kehta hai ki jo manghadant jhoote devi-devta kee pooja karte hain, Ishwar unhein dand deta hai, isliye hum Ishwar ke anadi evam Avinashi vanni ved ko sweekar karke Mata ,Pita, Atithi, Acharya kee sewa karte hue Nirakar Parmeshwar ke kewal vedon mein kahi hui pooja karein.
