A: What was story of Valmiki Rishi? Why he wrote Ramayan & can you
explain Ramayan in short please guruji?
Swami Ram Swarup: Valmiki Rishi was a learned of Vedas. He realized God. Once, Rishi Narad came to his ashram. Valmikiji suddenly asked Naradji to tell about a man who has several pious qualities, good character etc. In return, Narad told full story of Sri Ram right from childhood and till his coronation asking after his victory over Lanka. Several people say that Valmikiji was a dacoit but it is quite false. Valmikiji himself tells Sri Ram that he has never committed any sin in
the life. So, he cannot be a dacoit. Whatever, Valmikiji has written in Valmiki Ramayan is hundred percent true story and we all respectfully listen or study Valmiki Ramayan to gain the Vedic
knowledge and to follow the pious deeds done by Sri Ram, Laxman, Bharat, Shatrughann, King Dashrath, his wives, Kaushalya, Sumitra, Kaikayee and other dignitaries. In short, I have written here but story is so lengthy that the same cannot be explained here. A: Who was Narad muni & what was his story? Did he see marriage of Mahadev & Parvati?
Swami Ram Swarup: Meaning of word Narad is he who speaks truth. So, Narad is the
tittle in Vedas like Sharma, Verma etc. One Rishi Naradji took birth in Treta, in the time of Sri Ram but whether any other Narad saw marriage of Shiv-Parvati or not is not known to me.
MCG: Pranam Guruji, I want to grow spiritually and work towards salvation though I am a sinner. Is it possible? Is it possible while leading a family life? I trust you and your advices. Swami Ram Swarup: A patient is in need of a doctor, not a healthy man. Actually, we all humans have been blessed with human body to face previous lives’ pious deeds and sins in the shape of happiness and sorrows respectively and whatever sins or pious deeds we will do in present
life, will have to be faced in future births.. So, Vedas have framed a fundamental law that every person requires a spiritual master to learn spiritualism to destroy the effect of all his previous lives’ sins and to make their future bright. So, your decision to worship God is appreciated otherwise several person are also here in the world who never bother about worship and have to face the consequences. Yes, in family life worship is even far better. All our Rishi-Munis, rajrishis
and their public mostly did worship while leading married life. To take advise from me, you will have to come here. In the beginning, you may come only for a week or even for three-four days to continue Vedic worship and gain eternal Vedic knowledge.
