M: Swamiji!! Pranam. I have few questions. I know i won’t be able to get answers from anywhere else. So please answer them.
1. How do I start learning Vedas. Which book should I follow to start it as a fresh. You have mentioned many times in your answers that Vedas are not books. Its the eternal knowledge. Then how come its available in shlokas in books and from where would I get the original form of knowledge without any modifications. I have recently heard in a news channel that these days even Geeta comes with the modified versions.. its not in the original form. So please do let me know from where would I get the knowledge of Vedas. Which all books should I read?
2. I always have the curiosity to know about this world existence and would like to know why GOD has chosen a woman over man to born a baby?
3. What are the duties of a husband in Vedas?
4. In name Jap of Almighty GOD, what all names should I utter daily. If I chat only “OM” daily, would that be sufficient or should I have to chant all the names of GOD?
5. If I want to take diksha from you, what should I do?
6. Why there are so many tensions, unhappiness, silence(No thrill, no fun) in someone’s life where as some people are born with golden spoon in mouth, if GOD has created equal to everyone. Why some people are so lucky that they don’t have to put any efforts and they get everything what they want and while others even if they are nice and having all their good deeds, have to suffer and struggle a lot and they never get fame in their lives even after hard work? What is the solution to overcome this? When GOD has created everyone’s equal then why these ups and down are there?
7. Why do people say that what we do, we get according results in this life only. If this is true, then why do we have to pay in our next life also?
8. I sometimes feel that I have wasted my life here because I never found any aim till now. I really don’t know my purpose being here in this world. I never did anything great till now, neither I did made extremely happy to anyone not even my parents. So what purpose I am solving here in this world? How do I get answer to this question?
9. How to perform Ashtang yoga and Yagnas daily. Do we have to do Yajnas morning and evening or its just in the morning. what is the correct way of doing Yajnas. In case if we do any mistake in Yajnas, is this going to make any harms in our lives?
Swamiji!! I am really sorry to ask so many questions, but I always have so many questions in my mind and I don’t get answers from anywhere else. That’s why I am bothering you. I am sorry for that.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter.
(1) First of all, one must note that God in Vedas has preached to listen to Vedas from a learned acharya and not to read them. Infact, Vedas’ knowledge emanates direct from God at the beginning of every creation. You know, God is formless so He has not given the knowledge of Vedas by mode of writing or speaking out. This formless Vedic knowledge, by the power of Almighty God is originated in the heart of four rishis. In this connection, I paste my article below.

Who wrote Vedas and when?

Vedas are not written or spoken by God. This knowledge is emanated from God and is originated in the heart of four Rishis as stated above. God is Almighty i.e., He has all powers. So He needs no assistance to do universal deeds.

In human body alive soul resides. And soul is dependent, soul requires mouth to speak, eye to see, hand to write etc., etc. but God not. So from His power God originates the knowledge of Vedas in the Rishis without writing, or speaking etc.

Knowledge of the Vedas is one but it was given to four Rishis in the shape of Rig-Veda, Yajurveda, Samveda and Atharvaveda. These Vedas have three topics stated above.

How did the original copy of Vedas written by Vyas Muni get lost?

Several wars have been fought on the earth. If you want to destroy the nation, destroy their culture and the nation will be destroyed at its own. Mostly the communities had been doing the work on the said matter. All scripts in original and other hand written books of the ancient rishis were respectfully placed in India in Takshila and Nalanda, university of Bihar (India).

Aurangzeb started destroying the culture. Aurangzeb arranged both the universities’ culture to be put on fire. Just imagine that the books were burning continuously for about six months. But traditionally the knowledge of four Vedas was known by heart by Indian Brahmin. Who knew one Ved by heart, he was called Vedi. Two Vedas – Dwivedi, three Vedas— Tripathi, and the Brahmin who knew four Vedas by heart was called Chaturvedi. So Vedas are still alive and are being printed by the grace of God.

Vedas’ knowledge is divine. The fundamental of the Vedas is this that it was not written or spoken. The knowledge by the power of God was originated about one Arab 96 crore, 8 lakhs and 53,000 years ago. Then first time the four Rishis of unsexual creation started pronunciation of the mantras by the power of God. God wanted to make them know word meanings and senses of the mantras, and therefore the Rishis knew all. Then first time the four Rishis started pronunciation of the mantras. They taught the mantras to other ignorant people. Then another Rishis were produced who knew the Vedas by heart by listening only. There was no paper, ink or pen there. The Vedas were being learnt by mouth to mouth and traditionally this process is yet in force. But mostly not by heart but taking help of the printed book. So printed books are not called Vedas but these are called samhita. Samhita means the collection of Ved mantras. Therefore Vedas are not books as yet and will never be in future but samhita. Kapil Muni throws light on this point in his Sankhya shastra 5/48 that when a Rishi does tapsya in the shape of Yajyen, study of Vedas, practice of Ashtang yoga then the Ved mantras (now also) originate in heart of a Rishi and the Rishi pronounces the mantras and those mantras are called Vedas, emanates from God. So Vedas must first be listened (studied) from alive Acharya (Guru who knows Vedas). Then only books of Vedas can be of any help.

Now, it is an era of science. The printing press has came into existence. So, we may take help from books but the fundamental law of God is never changed, so first of all we must try to listen to vedas and then study the same. So, I would also advise you before entering the knowledge of vedas, you must read some Vedic culture. I therefore paste a list of books which shall facilitate you to enter as fresher into Vedas’ knowledge and can be selected by you if you desire.

List of books is available on www.vedmandir.com.

Vedas’ Philosophy

God has made universe and blessed us human body to do pious deeds only. He has not made any heaven or hell. All have to face the result of their deeds, good or bad here only, even by taking rebirth. (Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2)

God has not only made universe but has also given knowledge of four Vedas where answers to your and everyone’s questions have been given. There are four Vedas:
1. Rig Veda – gives knowledge of science, matter of the universe like sun, moon, air body etc., etc.
2. Yajurveda – gives knowledge of all the deeds and duties to be performed by men or women, students, leaders, king, agriculturist etc., etc., etc.

3 Samveda – gives knowledge how to worship God who gives peace and long happy life etc. In this way, details of Yoga philosophy, qualities, supreme deeds and nature of the God are also given.

4 Atharvaveda – gives details of God, medical science and details of medicine etc.

Actually in four Vedas there is unlimited knowledge. Yajurveda mantra 40/8 says that God is everywhere, is Almighty, formless, devoid of nervous system, purest, away from sins and away to face any result of any karmas (deeds), knows every soul, knows what is in everyone’s mind, no body has made God, but God creates universe, has given the eternal knowledge of four Vedas and always gives the said knowledge at the beginning of every universe to know the science and deeds to all concern. Similarly four Vedas say about God that God is an omnipresent, omniscient, formless, beyond imagination and beyond calculation. Actually God has unlimited qualities. There is only one God who creates, nurses, destroys the universe and again creates. Atharvaveda mantra 4/1/1 also says that God gives the knowledge of Vedas at the beginning of the earth to four Rishis of unsexual creation. And thereafter only public listens Vedas through Rishis Munis as yet and become learned. Rig-Veda gives knowledge of Almighty, Yajurveda gives knowledge of karmas (deeds), Samveda tells about worship-Yoga philosophy and Atharvaveda about medicines and God. Actually all Vedas commonly says about God also, so this is about Vedas in short. But the knowledge of Vedas is endless.

It is a fundamental law that knowledge is always given by somebody otherwise knowledge can’t be gained at any cost. If a new born baby is nursed well in a dense jungle and is not educated then he will not be able to gain any knowledge. So we have to think about the origin of the knowledge prevalent in the world today. In this connection all Vedas themselves say that God gives this knowledge to four Rishis. As has also been said by Rishi Patanjali in yoga shastra sutra 1/26, God is first Guru of the four Rishis.

Yajurveda mantra 31/7 also refers. This is all in short about Vedas.

The Vedas are not a book, rather it is a knowledge originated in the heart of Rishis. At the time of beginning of the earth those Rishis preached Vedas by mouth and all others remembered the same by mouth at that time there was no pen, pencil, paper, etc. This process of studying Vedas by mouth remained till Mahabharata time. Muni Vyas too remembered Vedas traditionally by mouth. Then Muni Vyas first time wrote the Vedas on Bhoj patra about 5300 years ago. In 16th century when printing press came into existence then the Vedas were printed. Still Vedas are not those which have been printed but Vedas are those which are preached by mouth by an Acharya/yogi and the printed Vedas are called Sanhita.

Now if somebody worships a statue etc., i.e., its their own creation please but Vedas deny. According to Vedas the best worship of the God is Yajyen (Yajna) for which all Vedas are self-proof. Yajurveda mantra 31/16 says that the learned persons worship God by Yajyen.

So many people have asked me that most of the scholars/preachers of different religion state that their religion incorporates all matters of the world including science. What about Vedas? I wrote so many Ved Mantras describing science matters therein. For example, Yajurvaveda Mantra 3/6 states “Ayam Gauhu Swaha Pitram Puraha Prayan Mataram Prishnihi Aakrameet Asadat”.

Meaning= This earth revolves around the Sun in the space and it also rotates on its own axis. Vedas are eternal like God because Vedas emanate from God. Now, according to Vedas, this present creation is about 1 Arab, 96 crores, 8 lakh and about 53,000 years old. So are the Vedas but as said in Rigveda Mantra 10/191/3 the present creation is same as was the previous one and this process of creation is eternal. So are the Vedas which emanate from eternal God. This all concludes that Vedas are the oldest in this creation also and no other book of science, maths or pertaining to spiritualism is written before Vedas.

Like the above example of rotation and revolution of earth, the significance of whole present science is mentioned in Vedas. We can see that whatever is happening in the universe, is all according to the Vedas. For example, occurance of six seasons, actions of Sun, moon, process of death, birth, worship, yoga philosophy, atomic energy, agriculture, animal husbandry, knowledge of politics, administration, architecture, solar energy, knowledge of home appliances like mixer, grinder, business rules, about men, women, children, marriage, Brahamcharya, education, clothes etc., etc., i.e., knowledge right from a straw to Brahma is all in Vedas. God is Almighty and has unlimited powers. So through His power He is able to originate the knowledge of Vedas in the heart of four Rishis without pencil, paper, help of mouth or any other worldly assistance.

We, i.e., the whole world depends on Almighty God but God is forever independent. That is why, He is God. We are the souls who reside in human bodies. We need assistance of senses, perceptions, mind and body to do deeds but not God.

Nowadays, so many saints are writing books. What is the background to right their books? Background is clear that they have first studied or listened the preach from their Gurus, keeping aside the matter of truth or falsehood. And after studying or listening the same, they became able to write the books. So this is also fundamental law, based on which, the ancient Rishis first listened Vedas and when they became learned then only they wrote the Vedic books like Valmikee Ramayana, six shastras, Mahabharata (Bhagwad Geeta), Upanishads, etc., etc. So, first the knowledge of Vedas is initiated in the universe and afterwards other books come into existence.

Somebody may say that human beings have knowledge by their nature to create anything like books etc., but we see that the newly born baby who is nursed in a jungle, in the absence of knowledge of a learned person, he becomes incapable to do anything. Thus, he can’t be M.A, M.Sc, doctor etc. So there are two types of the words and meanings. First, eternal which are from Almighty God and second, natural made by human beings. Eternal word meanings are always from Vedas i.e., from God. After listening/studying Vedas, human-beings become learned and then too based on their own natural knowledge, they make their own words and meanings, literature etc. But it is very much clear that in the absence of knowledge of Vedas, no one can become learned. Nowadays, also people live in dense jungle and do not lead a civilized life because they are not learned as cited above. Vedas are not sects because they emanate direct from God and God is one for all human beings. God creates sun, moon, air, water, food etc., which are meant for the best use of all human-beings for their long, happy life. So are the Vedas.

So all human beings must accept Vedas as an eternal knowledge from God, for the benefit of whole creation.

(2) To increase the population, male and female are required which is a fundamental law of creation. You see, Atharvaveda states-

‘Istree Hi Brahma Babhoovith’
i.e., a lady has been adorned with the title of brahma because she gives birth to child.
In Rigveda God states that a lady is even equivalent to God. actually, lady does not know her importance/qualities in the absence of study of vedas. she is adorable mother so such inferiority complex should never be suffered by her. Infact, she should have pride over her status.
So, requirement to increase the population is settled by God Himself and hence male and female, both sexes are made by God. Secondly, there is no difference between male and female.

Are souls common for male and female and for animals etc., or different?

Vedas are proof and shastras and all books written by Rishi-Munis are secondary proof as also mentioned in Yog Shastras sutra 1/7. So if anything, any matter etc., is against the Vedas that cannot be considered true, Vedas being knowledge direct from God and are first originated in the heart of four Rishis, at the beginning of every creation then (AAT IT) without losing time (ASYAHA) with the knowledge of Vedas (BHAGAM ASHNUVE), the worshippable (AATMA GYAN) i.e., knowledge of souls and God attains. (Atharvaveda Mantra 9/10/15 refers)

Idea of the above mantra:-

The soul states: “Due to the attachment with the mind, I had forgotten myself. When I attained the knowledge of Vedas, I have become able to realize my self.”

Rigveda mandal 10 as well as Sankhya Shastra Sutra 1/26 state that there are three qualities of Prakriti i.e., Raj, Tam and Satva. When the time comes to create the universe then the power of God starts action in the prakriti and from the said three qualities of prakriti, the whole universe is created. First, the mind is created. Then ahankar, panch tan matra and panch bhoot and from panch bhoot, the whole universe is created. So, mind is made of prakriti’s gunna and prakriti’s gunnas, in other words is illusion. When the bodies of men, women, birds, animals, insects etc., are made, at the beginning of the earth, bodies remain statue i.e., non-alive .Thereafter, with the power of God, soul enteris the body according to the previous lives’ deeds. Souls are several and bodies are also several. Souls have same qualities but deeds are separate with the result souls get different types of body i.e., of men, women, animal, birds, insect etc., etc.

Therefore soul is not body and is not man, woman, bird, snake, insect etc., etc.

VED MANTRAS NEVER AIM AT DEGRADATION OF WOMEN

The idea of Rigveda mantra 8/33/17 doesnot indicate that the mind of a lady is unintelligent, brooks no discipline etc. But the idea of the said mantra is that if a learned husband realises that the thoughts of his wife are not compatible with him then as per next mantra the responsibility of the learned husband is more than the lady to cooperate with his wife. Actually, in mantra 8/33/17 it is pointed out that if the wife in any case is not capable to meet with the requirements of her learned husband then next mantra quoted above states that to maintain compatibility, the responsibility lies on the husband. In no case, the wife has been declared unintelligent in Vedas. On the contrary, in next Rigveda mantra 8/33/19 it is stated-

“ISTREE HI BRAHMA BABHOOVITH”

i.e., the woman, in the house of her husband, is placed at the status of Brahma. Here, it shall not be out of place to mention that in Atharvaveda God states that he who steals away a small portion of any ved mantra, he is punished. I mean to say, now it is time to channalize India’s concentration towards study of four Vedas completely and not in pieces. At one stage, Vedas state that Vedas are afraid of the man/woman who do not study the Vedas completely. As a result, they misinterpret Vedas. Our country was called as “VISHWAGURU” i.e., spiritual master of entire world, based on Vedas’ knowledge only.

If we want to spread peace and international brotherhood, then sure we will have to revert back to study of Vedas. Vedas is eternal knowledge that emanates direct from God and not from any Rishi-Muni, man-woman, saint etc. Then only shall we be able to respect the ladies, maintain justice, destroys sins, corruptions, atrocities and blind faith.

In Yajurveda mantra 23/19 there is no mention about women. So degradation of women doesnot arise. The devta of this mantra is Ganpati i.e., Almighty God. So description in the mantra relates to God and not women. The misunderstanding can arise due to wording i.e., “PRIYANNAM PRIYAPATIM TVA HAWAMAHEY” where the meaning of pati is lord/master of universe. So, meaning will be Oh! God (PRIYANNAM) amongst the loved ones you are ‘PRIYAPATIM’ the supreme, loving lord/master. So, we (HAWAMAHEY) accept (TVA) you. (TVAM) you (AJASI) HOLD (GARBHADHAM) the Prakriti in the shape of womb, from where the universe is generated (non-alive matter is generated).

So, I may (AJANI) know (GARBHADHAM) the said Prakriti. Hence, idea of the mantra is that we must worship the Almighty God who creates, nurses and gives glory, who is lord of Prakriti and who holds all the seeds (i.e., matter from which universe is originated).

Similarly, idea of Yajurveda mantra 23/20 is that when relation between king and praja (public) is established as father and son, then only peace is maintained and Arth (finance), Dharma(righteousness), Kaam(fulfillment of pious desires) and Moksha(final liberation) is attained. So, the king, who is justiciable, must make effort to increase pleasure/happiness and enhance strength/power of public. Also, public should make efforts to increase the same in respect of king. Now, the idea of Yajurveda mantra 23/21 is that the king should do justice to men and women and the bad charactered or cruel man/woman must be punished badly (should be hung upside down) to obliterate the worm of sensuality along with root. You may be knowing that eternal knowledge of Vedas emanates direct from Almighty, formless God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. The said knowledge is originated in the heart of four Rishis of non-sexual creation, as stated in Rigveda 10/181/1, 2. The said knowledge at that time emanates direct from God in non-sexual creation and not sexual creation. Therefore, we may say that God Himself has given His unlimited divine names in the Vedas.

There also exist other names of God in pious holy granths like Quran sharief, containing the qualities of formless God. So, I think there is no difference in Allah, Om etc.

However, the meaning of Rigveda mantra 2/1/11 is under:-

“TVAMAGNEY ADITIRDEV DASHUSHEY TVAM HOTRA BHARATI VARDHASEY GIRA,
TVAMIDA SHATHIMASI DAKSHASEY TVAM VRITRAHA VASUPATEY SARASWATI.”

Oh! (DEV) enlightened (AGNEY) learned dignitary (TVAM) you are (ADITIHI) Aditi- A light of wisdom like the celestial bodies emitting light (DASHUSHEY) for the disciples who donate. (TVAM)You are (BHARATI) becoming like an enlightened learned female teacher (HOTRA) you deserve to be accepted. Thus, you (VARDHASEY) get progress (GIRA) from the beautiful education and voice of Vedas. (TVAM) You (ASI) are (IDA) like a learned female teacher who is praiseworthy. Oh! (VASUPATEY) lord of wealth (TVAM) you are (VRITRAHA) like a sun who kills the clouds to cause rain. And (SARASWATI) like a supreme, divine voice of Vedas.

Idea- The learned acharya who is philosopher of Vedas and has done hard practice of Ashtang Yoga and thus has controlled his five senses, perceptions and mind, teaches his disciples like a mother who nurses her baby well. Thus, the disciple becomes learned one day.

RIGVEDA MANTRA 3/30/10-

“ALATRINNO BAL INDRA BRAJO GOHO PURA HANTORBHAYAMANO VYAR,
SUGANPATHO AKRINNONNIRAJEY GAHA PRAVANVANNEEHEE PURUHOOTAM DHAMANTEEHEE.”

In this Rigveda mantra there are words “ALATRINNO AND INDRA” the meaning of which is Oh! (INDRA) giver of supreme glory or Almighty (ALATRINNAHA) the final destroyer of universe. Definitely, these are the names of God containing the said divine qualities.

RIGVEDA MANTRA 9/67/30-

“ALAYAYASYA PARSHURNANASH TAMA PAVASVA DEV SOM,
AKHUN CHIDEV DEV SOM.”

In Rigveda mantra 9/67/30 there is a word “ALAYAYASYA” the meaning of which is of the omnipresent enemy. In the mantra, there is a prayer that Oh! (SOM) God (DEV) full of unlimited divine qualities (PARASHUHU) there is a weapon of (ALAYAYASYA) omnipresent enemy (TAM) may the weapon (AKHUNCHITTA) which is complete annihilator (NANASH) be destroyed. (DEV) Oh! God (PAVASVA) purify me.

Hence, the above explained Ved mantras neither contain any proper noun nor project any degradation of women in society

(3) Duties of both husband and wife have been very well explained in my book- Vedas – A divine light part III along with proof of Ved mantras. You are advised to study the said book, please which can be sent on receipt of your postal address, if you so desire.

(4) Vedas tell to chant the name of God-OM. So, we must obey the God who has provided us with all amenities. We must not obey the man made path.

(5) I appreciate your pious desire of getting Deeksha. Deeksha means to listen, speak and do the true pious deeds only; to control five senses, five perceptions and mind; so as to refrain them from committing sins; to do daily name jaap of God as preached by spiritual acharya; to learn the method of agnihotra and practice of doing Yoga Philosophy i.e., asan, prannayam and meditation from acharya/guru; to listen vedas from an acharya as and when possible; to ask queries about deeds worship etc., from acharya.

If a disciple is ready to practice the above education, he is given Vedic Deeksha, then he should contact his spiritual master/acharya/guru. I also paste my article.

Deeksha

Now a days mostly the saints and the people are not studying the eternal knowledge of God given in the shape of our Vedas. It has resulted to spread false meanings of divine Vedic words/mantras. So is the case of Divine word, “DEEKSHA”. Mostly everybody says that if name of God, whatever it may be (i.e., may be against the Vedas), is told by any Guru to his disciple then it means the disciple has been given DEEKSHA, which is actually against the Vedas. Now let’s see the Yajurveda mantra 19/30, “VRATEN DEEKSHAAM AAPNOTI”, VRATEN = to adopt Brahmacharya and true speech etc., DEEKSHAAM = Brahmacharya, the education/knowledge from Vedas, good education, AAPNOTI = are obtained.

So the meaning of DEEKSHA is clear that DEEKSHA is obtained by adopting Brahmacharya and observing truth, by speech, listening, holding in heart, etc.

DEEKSHA i.e., the education of Brahmacharya and knowledge from Vedas/yoga philosophy etc., is obtained from an Acharya (learned of Vedas) by following the path of VRAT (VRATEN), i.e., to adopt Brahmacharya and true speech etc., as mentioned above.

Atharvaveda mantra 19/43/1 also throws light on the pious word DEEKSHA as under-:
DEEKSHA = to observe Vedic rules, Brahmacharya, good education. The idea of whole mantra is O God! please take ME TO THE PIOUS Place Where Yogi, who has realized God and knows Vedas philosophy, resides, adopting DEEKSHA (as stated above) and TAPSA SAH = along with Tap, i.e., study of Vedas, control on five perceptions, five sense organs, and mind.

Idea: if an aspirant will reach the above quoted place of a Yogi/brahamgyani, definitely he will realize God and get salvation. When people will be able to understand the said truth of the immortal Vedas then automatically they shall be beware of false prophets. The problem is only that the Bharatvarsh who was VISHWAGURU on the basis of Vedic culture, has lost the knowledge of Vedas and hence illusion.

He should discharge his moral duties regularly while doing the above worship. Further pious instructions about Deeksha are given when aspirant comes to the acharya.

(6) You see, God has provided us with human body to face the result of our previous lives’ deeds – good or bad. When we face the bad deeds, then we feel tensions, problems, sickness etc., and when we face pious deeds result then we enjoy happiness.

By getting Deeksha and then practicing the same above worship we obliterate our previous lives’ deeds and at one stage, we realise God and attain salvation and get long, tension free, happy life.
As you have used lucky word, this is the answer that the person does less efforts and gets more benefit by virtue of his previous lives’ pious deeds and those who suffer despite doing hard work are also facing previous lives’ deeds which does not allow people to get more benefit inspite of hard working. We should kill our previous lives’ deeds through Deeksha.

The answer is same as quoted above that result of deeds are being faced here. The said philosophy has been mentioned in Yajurveda mantra 7/48 and Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2 and 3. The said Rigveda mantras state that the present human life has been blessed by God to face the previous lives’ deeds and whatever we’ll do in present life, all those deeds will have to be faced in future births and not in present birth. A learned person follows the Vedic path, takes Deeksha and kills all previous lives deeds.

(7) I paste my article in this regard.

Three types of Deeds

There are three types of deeds (karmas) – sanchit, prarabhadh and kriyamann. Suppose one soul has to take birth (body). It means he has to face total number of deeds of his all previous lives and these deeds are called sanchit karmas but sanchit deeds are huge/unlimited and cannot be faced in one life. So the karmas which can be faced in one life are called prarabhadh (luck-destiny). So God has not made our luck at His own but Almighty God has taken the deeds which we have already done.

Yajurveda mantra 7/48 clarifies that human being is free to do any deed good or bad but God only awards the result. Now the balance deeds from sanchit deeds will be counted in the next life. Now the deeds which we do in our day today present life are called kriyamann.

If we do pious deeds according to Vedas, shastras and holy books and based on pious preaches of Rishi, Muni/learned saints then our all sanchit deeds are burnt and we can get salvation. Human beings are free in the matter of doing deeds good or bad. But result will be awarded by God. So we must worship and do pious deeds under guidance of a learned Guru. One should go always ahead for hard working, pious deeds, worship to make future bright himself. One should always work hard towards a right path.

Worship does not mean that we are free to discharge only our family duties, education, etc., but rather it is a sin. We have to get progress in both way at a time i.e., spiritualism and worldly progress i.e., science, education, duties towards family etc. God creates the universe according to His eternal law framed in Vedas which are always unchangeable and unchallengeable. So we have to follow the law of God always to get long happy life.

(8) Please, never fell that you’ve wasted life. But learned is he who does not repent on past but starts doing pious deeds in present whenever he gets awakened. A person makes others happy when he follows the spiritual path and makes himself happy first then only can he be of use to others.
A saint told that we need social workers but those who have first reformed themselves. Otherwise, problem will sure come.

(9) Yajyen is performed mainly both times. As regards Ashtang Yoga Philosophy, it is learnt personally from an acharya. For Yajyen, I paste article.

How to do havan

Please sit in the morning to perform havan. Havan must be in sunlight then it is more beneficial. Then half a bowl of fresh water with a tablespoon must be with you with small twigs especially of mango tree if possible, havan samagri, ghee, camphor and match box must be there with you. Please sit on sukh asan on four times folded blanket and blanket must be on mat.

Sukh asan i.e., sit on duly folded feet in comfortable position. Then first close your eyes and concentrate between two eyebrows and chant Gayatri mantra three times within heart and not by mouth. Then open your eyes.

Take one spoon of water in right palm. Chant this mantra, OM AMRTO UPASTRANMASI SWAHA and drink the water which you have put in your palm. Then again take the spoon of water in right palm then chant the next mantra, OM AMRITA APIDHANMASI SWAHA, and drink the water. Then again take the water in right palm and chant the mantra, OM SATYAM YASHAH SHRI MAYI SHRI SHRAYTAAM SWAHA, and drink the water. Then wash the right palm while sitting, with the same water kept in bowl.

Then put the twigs into havan kund with one piece of camphor and burn it. During this process chant the Gayatri mantra again and again till such time the fire is lighted sufficiently. Then chant the Gayatri mantra and at the last add the word Swaha and offer ghee with tablespoon, quantity equivalent to 4 to 5 drops. And if you are alone then also offer in fire pinch of havan samagri from your right hand’s finger and thumb avoiding forefinger. So this offering may be of 11 times, 21 times or 51 times as the time suits. It is the simplest way and I have not quoted the complete method of Yajna. The havan with Ved mantras are always offered as the best worship of God only please. Do havan daily and both times.

A video and audio Cd is also available regarding method of doing Yajyen along with meaning of Gayatri mantra.

Morning yajyen should be performed immediately after sunrises and evening Yajyen should be performed just before sunsets.

When we worship God and do Yajyen/hawan, the same first must be learnt from an acharya because it is also a kind of Deeksha, then there will not be any scope left of committing mistake.
I appreciate you, my daughter, to put forth questions because truth is only established after discussion with acharya in the form of putting forth questions, as was done by Arjun. So, you are always welcome to send questions.
