Rau: Namaskars Thank you very much for your valuable reply. Kindly tell me how can I stop smoking?
Swami Ram Swarup: Namasteji. You are welcome, please. Smoking can only be stopped by your firm and unchangeable decision which is beneficial for your whole of life. I also paste my article in this regard:-

First of all, a man should not feel discouraged/nervous. You know, life is a struggle which we have to face happily to get success. Therefore hard working, honesty, dedication, firm decision to get the target are necessary. Please try to do daily hawan with Gayatri mantra.

As regards worship of God, I would advice you to study my some spiritual books based on Vedas. Books can be sent on receipt of your postal address, free of cost please because you are not earning. Regular study of books will also give you mental and physical strength to face the problem and to worship God.

Shivanshu: Swami ji pranam, charan sparsh. Swami ji, please explain the Arthaveda mantra of
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you.(Dyuhu asthat) by the divine power of Almighty God, the celestial bodies emitting light like sun, moon, stars etc., exist at the their proper place (pritiivi asthat) the earth is also situated accordingly (Idam vishwam jagat asthat) the whole universe also exists at its proper place. (Parvataha) mountains also (asthuhu) exist (asthaney) at proper place awarded by God. So,
Oh! God similarly I also (atishthipam) place (Ashwan) these my sense-organs and organs of action (sthamni) in stability.

Idea:- God is creator and Lord of this universe under whose control and command the whole world is moving, is doing well. That is why, there seems to be a stability in the world. But, it is astonishing that God has provided us (for soul) the organs like eyes, ears, nose, tongue, skin organs of action like hands, legs, mouth, organs to remove excretory wastes etc., properly but soul does not make its best use but duly indulged in illusion, the mind and intellect use the above organs in wrong ways also. So, mantra preaches humans that by following Vedic preach, we must have control on our above organs so that they became capable to discharge their moral duties pertaining to worldly pious deeds and Vedic spiritual need faithfully.
