first nine mandalas of Rig Veda are in Vedic sanskrit and the last mandala is in classical or later day sanskrit. Is it true? Also, please verify if the following data is correct? Rig Veda-10,552 mantras. Yajur Veda-1975 mantras. Sama Veda-1875 mantras. Atharva Veda-5977 mantras. Total-20379 mantras in Vedas. Thank you.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. No, please. It is not true that first nine mandals of Rigveda are in Vedic Sanskrit and 10th mandal in classical/later day Sanskrit.

Rigveda -10589 mantras,
