Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, beti. Thank you, beti. Jo aap likh rahe ho, woh man-made hai, isliye sab kuchh ved-vrudh hone ke karann galat hai, ved mein aagya hai ki jo bhi ved-virudh karya karoge weh paap karma hoga.

Nishkarma karne ka arth hota hai, Kaamna rahit karma karna arthat weh karma shubh hai aur shubh karma karne wale shubh karma to poornna shakti se karta hai parantu karma karte huye weh karma phal kee kaamna nahin karta. Karmafal ko prapt karne kee ichcha nahin karta, karma phal Ishwar ko smarpit karta hai. Yadi aaj aisa sab karne lagein to ghar-2 kee ladaiyan khatam ho jayein, abhimaan samapt ho jaye.

Karma karne mein jo mamta (attachment) hoti hai, wahi hamein bandhan mein bandhati hai aur yadi hum vedanusaar shubh karma nahi karte to nishchit hee paap karte hain, paapi ho jaate hain. Nishkaam kama tub shuru hote hain jub jigyasu bahut baar ved sunn lete hain aur us vidya ko acharann mein laate hain. Han! Vedon mein punarjanam ka siddhant hain.

Rebirth and different yonis

Idea of Yajurved mantra 39/6 is that after leaving the human body, the soul goes to several matters in the space etc., and then according to good or bad deeds takes next birth. Yajurved mantra 39/7 states that those souls who do sins they take birth with violent nature like wolves, bear and those who give fear to others in human body, they take birth in body with dangerous nature like crocodiles, poisonous snakes, tigers, lions, wild boars etc., those who give fear to others, they will be of timid nature also like rabbits, deer etc. Those who give justice and make others fearless, they will take next birth in a fearless nature. Those who are indulged in illusion, they will take birth in a place where the atmosphere will be full of illusion (Yajurved mantra 40/3 also refers).

Those who are learned Yogis but are not yet attained salvation, they will take next birth in a place where there will not be any illusion but divine enlightenment. Those who have not controlled their five senses, five perceptions and mind then in the next birth they will be of restless nature. But those who have controlled their senses etc., will be of calm, peaceful nature. Those who have followed eternal knowledge, they will also be of peaceful nature in the next birth.

Atharvaved mantra 9/10/16 states that those who are not learned in this birth, they will get the birth as “sthavar” rooted plants etc., as birds and as animals etc., and those who are learned they take next birth as Rishi-munis. So the soul based on his sins or pious deeds takes birth in upper class or lower class. The above said Atharvaved mantra also states that the soul in the human body knows each and everything that is each outer matter of the world but due to involvement in illusion, soul does not know himself.

As Manusmriti states in shlok 1/43-46 the soul according to deeds takes birth as animal, non-violent deer etc., carnivores like tiger, leopards etc., devils, human beings. The said are of “jarayuj” type i.e., those who take birth from their skin i.e., tissue. Soul takes birth as “undaj” type i.e., those who hatch from eggs like birds, snakes, crocodiles, fish, tortoise, etc. Soul takes birth in “Swedaj” type i.e., those who take birth from sweat, humidity, moisture, for-example, lice, mosquitoes, flies, bed-bugs, etc.

Soul also takes birth in Udbhij i.e., who takes birth from within the earth like plants who emerge from seeds etc., and are stable at one place like trees etc. So there are four above quoted main origin (yonis) of which the total number comes as 84 lakhs.

Han! karma bandhan ke saath smriti bhi jaatee hai. Atma ka arth hai jeevatma jo shareer dharann kartee hai, God shareer dharnn nahin karta. Isliye mrityu ke pashchaat bhi ya moksh prapti ke baad bhi jeevatma parmatma mein nahin miltee. God to Sarvavyapak hai aur hamaree sabkee jeevatmayein abhi bhi God se milee huee hain arthat sabki jeevatmayon mein parmatma hai aur vice-versa. Sehaj marg wale ya koi kisi bhi marg wale apnee marzi se kuchh bhi kehne ke liye azaad hain parantu Ishwar kee marzi (vedic niyam) yeh hai ki manushya ka shareer dharann karne walee atmayein kewal ved marg par chalein aur ved marg par chalkar hee moksha payein. Sehaj marg bhi ved marg ke virudh hai. Kisi bhi Rishi ne kabhi kisi virodhi ko bhi mazboor hokar shraap nahin diya kyunki Rishi jaante hain ki koi shraap deta hai, to ussey swayum bhi us shraap ka ansh dukh ke roop mein bhogna padta. Yeh to koi puraatan, jhooti, kapol-kalpit kathayein rishiyon ko badnaam karne ke liye banayee hain, inse bachna chachiye kyunki mukhya pramaan to ved hai aur vedon mein aisa ulta-pulta gyan nahin hai.

Anonymous: Swami ji pranam. Rig veda 8/33/19 states that woman should look down not up. Isn’t that demeaning to women? Also I would like to know your translation of verse
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. To walk while looking down means a woman tries not to look towards the face and eyes of opposite sex. No doubt, if a woman, as usual maintains her character, she may walk while looking up because her intentions will never become bad but the fundamentals made by God in the mantra will also have to be observed in life. If not, then its women’s own discretion. I paste my article in this regrad as under-

VED MANTRAS NEVER AIM AT DEGRADATION OF WOMEN

The idea of Rigveda mantra 8/33/17 doesnot indicate that the mind of a lady is unintelligent, brooks no discipline etc. But the idea of the said mantra is that if a learned husband realises that the thoughts of his wife are not compatible with him then as per next mantra the responsibility of the learned husband is more than the lady to cooperate with his wife. Actually, in mantra 8/33/17 it is pointed out that if the wife in any case is not capable to meet with the requirements of her learned husband then next mantra quoted above states that to maintain compatibility, the responsibility lies on the husband.

In no case, the wife has been declared unintelligent in Vedas. On the contrary, in next Rigveda mantra 8/33/19 it is stated-
“ISTREE HI BRAHMA BABHOOVITH”

i.e., the woman, in the house of her husband, is placed at the status of Brahma. Here, it shall not be out of place to mention that in Atharvaveda God states that he who steals away a small portion of any ved mantra, he is punished. I mean to say, now it is time to channalize India’s concentration towards study of four Vedas completely and not in pieces. At one stage, Vedas state that Vedas are afraid of the man/woman who do not study the Vedas completely. As a result, they misinterpret Vedas. Our country was called as “VISHWAGURU” i.e., spiritual master of entire world, based on Vedas’ knowledge only.

If we want to spread peace and international brotherhood, then sure we will have to revert back to study of Vedas. Vedas is eternal knowledge that emanates direct from God and not from any Rishi-Muni, man-woman, saint etc. Then only shall we be able to respect the ladies, maintain justice, destroys sins, corruptions, atrocities and blind faith.
