Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Kisi bhi yug mein pret nahin hote. Actually, pret ka arth hai mar jaana, pret ka arth bhoot (ghost) nahin hai. Bhooot-pret ka hona vedon mein nahin hai kyunki bhoot pret hote hee nahin.
