Swami Ram Swarup: Jaise raatri ke andhere mein roshni jalaane par kamre kee sab vastuyein dikhai detee hain usee prakaar shareer mein Chetan jeevatma ke niwas karne ke karann jad mann aur buddhi Chetan kee tarah karya karte nazar aate hain.
Mann aur buddhi dono hee jad padarth hain aur vikari hain yeh dono hee rajogunn, tamogunn, satogunn se bane hain. In teeno gunno se hee kaam, krodh, mad, lobh, ahankar aur anya buraiyan panapti hain isliye inkee baat maanna to dukhon ko dawat dene ke samaan hai. Hum jeevatma hain jo shareer mein rahati hain hum mann, buddhi, aankh, naak, pair aadi se bure paapyukt aadi karam karate hain aur yeh sab avidya/agyan/avivek mein phanse hone ke karann karate hain. Mann , buddhi ko jab tak vedic sadhna dwara gyan nahin milega tab tak yeh dono hee shudh nahin hote jis karann mann sada bure vicharon ka hee chintan karta hai aur buddhi mann se bure vichar grahann karke ussey aur paap yukt karam nischay karke hum jeevatmaon ko pahunchati hai aur is prakar hum bure karam karte rahte hain. Jab ved vidya ke acharya se shiksha milti hai aur sadhak uspar chalkar sadhna karta hai tub mann sanyam mein aata hai aur buddhi shudh hoti hai.
Anonymous: Guruji ke charnoon main mera pranam Guruji Vedas say that one should clarify ones doubts so as to avoid misconceptions. And I am not able to clarify my doubt myself so I am asking it from you. Guruji you told us that one should not give his tan-maan-dhan in grihasth but do the duties of home with a feeling of renunciation(tayag), one should keep his mind and brain in God. But Guruji shouldn’t a student while doing his duty esp- studing should sacrifice all and give his taan-maan-dhan-bhudhi to his utmost duty of gaining education be it material or spritiual. I mean how could he study if he is not totally focusing on his studies at any cost.
2. Pandavs had the duty to maintain dharma in society and were ready to kill their own relatives for their duty and even ready to die themselves, so if a student approches his duty of education with same sense of commitment I hope it cannot be wrong- That is giving tan-maan-bhuudhi-Aatma to his duty of education cannot be declared wrong/sin. 1.) Meaning of giving Tan, Mann, dhan is to be entangled all the time in the family deeds but have no time to worship. If mind and intellect will be remembering God, Vedas but human-body will be discharging all his pious duties faithfully. It means that the person is aware of his worship in the morning as well as in the evening/night. As regards student, I have several times stated that student must concentrate his mind on his hard study and simultaneously, he may devote 45 minutes in the morning and half an hour in the evening to worship God.
2.) There is difference between Pandavas duties (to do war to establish moral righteousness) and student’s duties.
