SG: Pranam Guru ji, God says that the uptill mid 20’s humans should follow bhramcharaya. Does that put limitations on man woman relations if yes to what extent? thank you.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Not mid 20 only but according to Vedas,
uptil 25, 33 and 44 years of age one should maintain Brahmacharya as per his capability but not less than twenty five years. Then only he would be able to be a faithful citizen by attaining education etc. Further, I paste my another article-
According to the Vedas (Yajurveda mantra 8/10 refers) opposite sex must not surrender his/her mind (mann) to other till the completion of marriage. It is sad that nowadays India is forgetting her eternal culture of Vedas and hence the problem. I think that in the absence of knowledge of Vedas (spiritualism) nobody is able to understand the meaning of love. Vedas tell that love with soul to soul is only everlasting and produces extra-ordinary, permanent pleasure. On the other hand love based on physical charm creates problems for entire life.
Shashikant: Swamiji pranaam , what are the ways to become a great man?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. He only becomes a great man who follows the
preachings of eternal Vedas’, thereafter shastras and other holy granths. In the said holy granths, mainly it is preached that one should maintain Brahmacharya at least upto twenty five years of age
and also gain progress in worldly pious deeds like education, science and spiritualism simultaneously. The said process was adopted by Sri Ram, Sri Krishna Maharaj, Harishchandra, Mata Sita, Madalsa and their public. They became great dignitaries. So, I would advice you to read
some of my books based on Vedas’ knowledge, if you desire, which can be sent on receipt of your postal address.
Shashikant: Swamiji pranaam , There is any way to know when a person will die or how long he will live?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Yes, please. There is a way to know as to how long a person would live or when would he die. To know the way, teachings of Vedas, shastras and other holy granths is to be listened and according to Vedas, daily Yajyen/Havan, name jaap of God,
hard-practice of ashtang Yoga philosophy while discharging all moral duties is to be done. In this way, Yoga’s power/pleasure is obtained and the aspirant attains Samadhi. Then he overcomes death. It is our bad luck that we are not following the Vedas and spend our life in problems, sickness etc., and after death we continue suffering from sorrows, etc.
Mawaram: Respectful Pranaam Swami Ji, Subject: “HANUMAN CHALEESA” Verse..: Number 38 THE LAST TWO LINES. Jo sata Bara Patha Kara Koi Chutahi Bambi Maha Sukha Hoi. I have checked numerous HANUMAN CHALEESA Booklets and most of them, the Romanized text varies from book to book in spelling and this creates an ambiguous translation to our sweet, melodious and divine Shri Hanuman Chaleesa. I do know that you will like to view the last two lines of verse nbr 38 in Hindi but unfortunately, I am unable to forward to you. The last
two lines in Romanized text of verse nbr 38 according to the Shri Ramcharitamanas and translation by Dr. R.C. Prasad is in the subject matter above. This is the English translation: He who recites this (Hanuman Chaleesa) a hundred times is freed from bondage and enjoys supreme bliss. I have seen and read where other books give a different translation and I have heard intelligent people expound the translation as follows: One who recites the Hanuman Chaleesa seven times daily becomes free
from the bondage of life and death and enjoys the highest bliss at last. I will appreciate your clarification as to whether it is SEVEN times or ONE HUNDRED times? Shri Bhagawan’s Blessings to you and your staff. Sincerely your ardent follower, Mawaram.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. In this connection, I can only say that Vedas tell to worship only a Formless, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Almighty God Who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. The God can never take birth and does not face the result of any deeds etc.(Yog Shastra Sutra 1/24) Vedas tell to do daily Hawan/Yajyen with Ved mantras and practice of Ashtang Yoga under guidance of learned acharya of Vedas which is the best worship of Formless God. As regards Hanumanji, he was a great Yogi and in Valmiki Ramayana, Sri Ram has also stated him as the person who had knowledge of four Vedas. His worship is to follow his divine qualities
like maintaining brahamcharya by student to gain education to speak truth, to serve the learned dignitaries, parents, to help the needy and to protect the poor etc. Again, my blessings to you.
KKD: What is the pranam mantra of Shri Vishwakarma bhagwan?
Swami Ram Swarup: In Vedas, Vishwakarma is also the name of Formless, Almighty God
and by following Vedic path we do pranam to God. This purifies mind and intellect and one should do daily hawan both times with Ved mantras; all this accounts for doing pranam to God (Samveda mantra 14 refers).
