Lalit: Swamiji you say that it was sheer bad luck because of Mahabharta war that people went into depression and they did not continue practising activities as told by Almighty, is this not a very simplistic explanation of the resultant illusion that has gripped the world. If people who were so pious at that time could go in depression and forget their duties than how can we expect this generation to follow the right path when there are so many problems and injustice?

Swami Ram Swarup: Not the people but only the old mothers, sisters, young ladies, aged forefathers and children who were neither allowed to participate in war at that time nor any warrior could hit them. So our forefathers due to indulgence in illusion/ignorance, attachment become sorrowful due to which they did not think to continue the eternal Yajyen, study and practice of Ashtang yoga philosophy to be away from the illusion which has destroyed the coming generation till date. Yes, my dear son, the said step has gripped the world and thus ruined us from roots. The arrogant who have made their own path are not ready to leave the self-made path against the Vedas because mostly the paths have become professional as already stated by Tulsi in his chowpayee:
SHRUTI SAMMAT HARI BHAKTI PATH SANJUT BIRTI BIBEK,
TEHIN NA CHALHIN NAR MOH BAS KALPAHIN PANTH ANEK

Meaning:- Due to attachment and illusion, people do not follow the eternal path of Vedas, which leads to acquisition of ascetism and true knowledge. On the contrary, people have made their own parts as per their suitability and interest. The suitability and interest is actually called “Attachment”.

Then how a person would be able to attain the truth in the absence of eternal knowledge of Vedas which emanates direct from God. Mahabharat war was fought to establish dharma because the eternal religion had been disturbed by Duryodhan and his allying friends. Study of Mahabharta reveals that Duryodhan was king for several years and had spread illusion all over such as falsehood, atheism, insult of women etc. You know, the total number of army persons of Pandavas was much less than that of Duryodhan. Naturally, the purity was mostly established in the army of Pandavas, which was almost completely wiped away. Yudhisthir took the command of surviving ladies, children, aged people who were already indulged in illusion due to the ill effect of Duryodhan’s rule and hence the problem arose.

Jeevan Singh: Sat Sri Akaalji Swamiji. Swamiji I guess this question relate to everyone. Is everything only in God hand and not in human hand? Please be kind to give some example to this question another thing if karma is in human then what exactly does the word Karma mean in every human life.. Swamiji please be kind to me and bless me with the answer. I belong to a Sikh family and my Guruji has taught us about karam but at time we don’t really knows the right meaning of karam cause if we do understand then we can never do any wrong deeds but we do wrong is because we don’t understand the real word of Karam and God.
Swami Ram Swarup: Sat Sri Akaalji. I have clarified such queries several times in detail on this website, please. You’ve also very well asked the important question concerning all persons. Actually, God is Almighty and has all powers to apply in the universe. He has blessed us with the eternal knowledge of Vedas. After final destruction of universe, again the creation starts. That creation, is called non-sexual creation, being without parents. Everybody, is therefore ignorant there. At a stipulated time, knowledge of four Vedas emanates direct from God and is generated in the heart of four Rishis.

Sri Guru Banni also states “Omkar Ved Nirmaye” (Guru Granth Sahib, Mohalla 1. Omkar Shabd)
i.e., knowledge of Vedas emanates from God. It is unfortunate that mostly the people are not habitual to listen to Vedas which is God’s voice. I mean to say, in four Vedas, God has briefed the rules and regulations to be adopted by human beings for a long, happy life and to get salvation also. God has also very well briefed about His divine deeds, nature, power and divine knowledge i.e., the real picture of Himself.

In Yajurveda mantra 1/5 it is clearly stated that Oh God! You follow your rules, So I would also follow the true path /your true rule and would leave the falsehood.

In Yajurveda mantra 7/48 , it is stated that we, all the human beings are always free to do pious deeds or sins but the result will be awarded by Almighty God in the shape of happiness and sorrows respectively. So, God can not go beyond His fundamental rules. For example- it is His rule in Vedas that if a man-woman would do the sin, God shall punish him and shall never forgive him. Secondly, He never showers mercy on the culprits. So, it is not even in God’s hand to forgive the culprit. We are free to do any sin or pious deed as told above but result will be awarded by God. some people say that everything is in His hands and people commit sins etc., because God wants. But this is wrong. God says in Vedas that I have blessed human-beings with human body to worship Him and do pious deeds only to attain salvation. In several Ved mantras, God has strictly stated that if anyone would commit any wrong /sin God would appropriately punish him. And God never forgives the sinner. I again state that it is our bad luck that we do not listen to Vedas and therefore we do not know the actual/true picture of formless, Almighty God and commit sins with the hope that pandit, worshipper, so called learned etc., have told us to bow and pray in the religious places and God is merciful, He will forgive us. I would like to state that God has clarified His worship in the Vedas like his name-jaap, Yajyen, daily agnihotra, listening to Vedas (all to control the five senses, perceptions and mind) and hard practice of ashtang Yoga Philosophy to realize God. But after Mahabharat war, several paths have been created against the Vedas in which it is being told that God forgives which is wrong according to Vedas and faith of ancient Rishi-munis. In Rigveda, it is clearly stated that fundamental law of Almighty God mentioned in Vedas is unchangeable. Even yogi or Brahamleen saint can’t change God’s law, say the Vedas.

There are three types of karmas, sanchit, prarbdh and kriyamann. Yes, karmas are to be done by humans but which karma. Everybody says work is worship. What which work is worship. Human beings are ignorant from the fundamental law of Almighty God and in my opinion are also ignorant about natural divine deeds, divine knowledge and divine power (all are unlimited) of God and hence the problem.

Do you think that to sit in the office, even in the late hours or to attend office before hours or only to look after the children and only to settle the children to make them able to earn properly and to enjoy married life etc., are the worshippable deeds? No, please. Because to adopt only the said ways is to be sorrows, problems, tensions, sickness in entire life and at last, to meet with unbearable time of old age and to meet with painful death.

The above quoted works are our duties only to become able to earn money to live upon. Then, where is spiritualism? Which maintains peace, international brother hood etc. If the above are the works which are called worship then it is said in shastras that animals, birds etc.,also take food, sleep, beget children and are also afraid of death etc., like the human-beings. Then where lies the difference between human-beings and animals. We’ll have to make a considerable difference between animals and human beings and really in the absence of spiritualism, a person has been demarked by God Himself in the category of animal.
I would have to again tell that we must respect all the religions and sects to gain good education but we’ll have to revert back to Vedas as well to know about three educations in deep, told by Almighty God which are science, and knowledge about matters in Rigveda, form of deeds in Yajurveda and way of divine worship in Samveda. Vedas being God’s voice, are not a sect. regarding karmas, I also paste my articles —

Three types of Deeds

There are three types of deeds (karmas) – sanchit, prarabhadh and kriyamann. Suppose one soul has to take birth (body). It means he has to face total number of deeds of his all previous lives and these deeds are called sanchit karmas but sanchit deeds are huge/unlimited and cannot be faced in one life. So the karmas which can be faced in one life are called prarabhadh (luck-destiny). So God has not made our luck at His own but Almighty God has taken the deeds which we have already done.

Yajurveda mantra 7/48 clarifies that human being is free to do any deed good or bad but God only awards the result. Now the balance deeds from sanchit deeds will be counted in the next life. Now the deeds which we do in our day today present life are called kriyamann.

If we do pious deeds according to Vedas, shastras and holy books and based on pious preaches of Rishi, Muni/learned saints then our all sanchit deeds are burnt and we can get salvation. Human beings are free in the matter of doing deeds good or bad. But result will be awarded by God. So we must worship and do pious deeds under guidance of a learned Guru. One should go always ahead for hard working, pious deeds, worship to make future bright himself. One should always work hard towards a right path.

Worship does not mean that we are free to discharge only our family duties, education, etc., but rather it is a sin. We have to get progress in both way at a time i.e., spiritualism and worldly progress i.e., science, education, duties towards family etc. God creates the universe according to His eternal law framed in Vedas which are always unchangeable and unchallengeable. So we have to follow the law of God always to get long happy life.

Shubh Karma
Hard working, devotion, dedication, honesty, services to the parents and elders to follow eternal religion mentioned in Vedas, practice of Ashtang Yoga, discharging moral duties to get progress in education, science simultaneously with spiritualism like, daily havan, to be in contact with the learned Acharya, to get his advice, are some of the pious deeds which make the future bright and obliterate the sorrows, problems, diseases, etc.

One must wake up early in the morning for early morning walk and exercises, must sit on meditation and chant holy name of God, must be away from any addiction and non-vegetarian. Such pious actions lead to long, happy life and bright future.

If you are interested, I shall advise you to study some of my books, the list of which is available on the site.

In Vedic Satsang Sangrah –book, you would know karmas’ philosophy also. My blessings to you, for a long, happy life. After studying the books and this reply, you may put query, if any. You are always most welcome, my son.
