Gautam: Pranam Swamiji, In some of the answers you stated that God is formless. But in the book “Krsna” vol-1 written by A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. It is written that- Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the cause of all causes. He expands Himself to take charge of the three qualities of the material world. Visnu takes charge of the mode of goodness, Brahma takes charge of the mode of passion, and Lord Siva takes charge of the mode of
ignorance. And he states that he is a Vaisnava.

Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. The cause of creation, as mentioned in Vedas, is non-alive Prakriiti and alive Almighty , omnipresent formless God. The fact is well mentioned in Mandal 10, Sukta 129 of Rigveda. So, nothing more can be told, please. As regards Brahma, Vishhnu , Mahesh my article regarding the same is appended below.
In Yajurveda it is stated —
“VISHNUHU (omnipresent God) PARMAM (the supreme) PADAM (stage) SADA (always) PASHYANTI (see) SURYOHO (yogi)”.
Meaning: – The Yogi who studies Vedas and does hard practice of ashtang Yoga Philosophy and as a result attain Dharm megh Samadhi, he only sees i.e., realises God.
Vishnu means –Omnipresent God. There are unlimited qualities of God and accordingly there are unlimited names of formless, God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe.
For example- Vishnu is the name of Almighty God containing the quality of being omnipresent. Brahm/Brahmaa is also the name of formless God containing the quality of being supreme i.e., there is no one even equivalent to God.
Mahesh is the name of formless God who contains the quality of being supreme, the creator.
Om:- is the name of God containing the unlimited qualities, one of which is He is the saviour of entire universe and so on.
Therefore God is one but His names are unlimited as stated above.
In Rigveda mantra 1/22/18, it is stated “VISHNNUHU TRINNI PADANI VICHAKRAME” i.e., (VISHNNU) God who is omnipresent (TRINNI) three (PADANI) matters or behaviour i.e., three types of matters or behaviour – first, which are known, second — to be known and third — which are achievable. (VICHAKRAME) holds.
Idea is that God creates the universe and in the universe, He creates several matters for the benefit of human-beings. Human-beings must know the matters and get the same for beneficial use. I mean to say that there may not be such three footsteps of Almighty God. There are unlimited names of God based on His divine unlimited qualities as is also stated in Rigveda mantra 1/164/46.
In the above Rigveda mantra, His name is quoted ‘Vishnu’. The meaning of pious word “VISHNU” is Vishlari Vyaptau Vishnu i.e., omnipresent. You know, omnipresent means, there is not even a minutest place in the universe where God does not reside. That is why, He is omnipresent. Secondly, the God is formless. Then from where the three footsteps came when God is omnipresent. He being formless, God doesnot have any foot etc. We will have to follow the path of eternal knowledge of Vedas which emanates direct from God and must not follow the self-created path of human-beings.
Trinity
There is only one God who is formless, creates, nurses and destroys the universe. He is Almighty and supreme, beyond description, beyond imagination and beyond calculation. He is omnipresent and omniscient. Divine qualities of Almighty God are described in eternal knowledge of Vedas. Vedas emanate direct from God. So all Hindus and others too believe in Vedas.
Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh are the name of one said God. God has no wives please because He is Almighty and needs no assistance etc. No one is above God please. All religions tell to worship God.
The caste system has not been mentioned in Vedas, however four varnnas i.e., Brahmin, kshatriya , Vaishya , shudra are described based on deeds and not by birth. Brahmin means he who is the philosopher of four Vedas. He daily performs hawan with ved mantras. Some of his duties are given below as mentioned in Manu Smriti shloka 1/88
i) To become learned by study of Vedas and present education,
ii) then it is taught to others;
iii) to perform Yajyen,
iv) enable others to perform it
v) to donate
vi) to take donation
Anonymous: 1. Tretwad is the truth (Jeev, Prakrati and Ishwar), however can you pl quote the ved mantra explaining this tretwad. 2. Its been now around 6 months for me, that we have started havan very regularly in home (it happens min 2 times a day and mostly 3 times), regular reading of books has also become routine. I have as well started getting up at around 4.15 AM (last 4 months) and doing Jaap of Ishwar, both the times (apprx 40 to 60 mts duration).
Swami Ram Swarup: When you meditate and pious thoughts enter your mind, it is a good omens. Please carry on your meditation. Yes, traitwad is an eternal truth mentioned in following Ved mantras:-
Rigveda mandal 10, sukta 129, states that when the final destruction (Pralaya) takes place, then all the matters of the universe which are being seen now are destroyed and converted into unseen Prakriti:- mantra 10/129/1 states.
Again mantra 10/129/2 states that there was no death, birth, final liberation or day and night etc. There was only Almighty God. Mantra 3 states there exists a matter named prakriti (non-alive). So, after final destruction, i.e., pralaya, there remains only three matters i.e., first is Almighty God, second is Prakriti and third alive souls without body which is called Traitwad then at a stipulated time automatically the alive power of Almighty God acts in prakriti and creation begins.
