Anonymous: I did not believe in Bhagwan Krishna before and was non veg too. Later I felt as if my conscience was guiding me towards Lord Krishna. I prayed a lot to Shri Krishna and he always spared me from trouble. I’m still praying lord krishna and have accepted him as God. I believe he is Om and he immersed his power into a human body to show himself to humans as he is formless. He did everything to show humans how they should live behave and follow principle but humans are free to exercise choices.
Swami Ram Swarup: If you have faith in Bhagwan Sri Krishna Maharaj then what more can I say. You may go ahead, please.

As far as my personal matter is concerned, since childhood I am fully devoted to the eternal knowledge of four Vedas which emanates direct from God and is originated in the heart of four Rishis. All learned believe that knowledge is attained when it is given by someone. On the said fundamental law and based on the personal experience of Rishi Patanjali, he has quoted a sutra 1/26 in the Yog Shastra written by him-
Yog Shastra Sutra 1/26 stating “SAHA EESHEY POORVE SHAM API GURUHU KALENANVACHCHEDAT”
i.e., Almighty God is the first guru of the said four Rishis. Thereafter Rishi munis have been spreading the knowledge of Vedas. Yogeshwar Sri Krishna Maharaj has also stated in his Bhagwad Geeta several times that he preaches the Vedic knowledge and in Bhagwad Geeta shloka 3/15 –Yogeshwar Sri Krishna Maharaj has himself stated that Vedas’ knowledge emanates from Almighty God.

Vedas never accept Avtarvad, please. So, let me follow the Vedas and you may go ahead with your faith.

Yajurveda mantra 40/15 states” Om Krato Smar” i.e., Oh! Man, do the jaap of Om and if you believe that Sri Krishna Maharaj is Om then if possible, you may also do the jaap of Om otherwise do the jaap as you like. However, Shri Krishna Maharaj states in Bhagwad Geeta shlok 6/13 that an aspirant must sit on any asan, concentrate at the tip of his nose and chant God’s name – OM.

All four Vedas , six shastras, upnishads and ancient holy granths written by Rishis, state that formless, Almighty God does not take birth/does not hold any body because needs not to that, He being Almighty. For example, Rigveda states about formless God “Ajah Ek Paat” Aj means He who never takes birth. He is away from birth and death and to face the result of any deeds etc. so if you are satisfied with your life that you are without tensions, problem , illness etc., then sure you may go ahead with your faith.

Bipin: Swamiji, Pranam. As we know our motive of life should be attain moksha. It means thereafter our soul will not take any birth and hence body. But, I have few doubts to clear here. Being a human being we are able to read about God, His -qualities, knowledge about Shree Ram, Shree Krishna etc. To read, hear, see about Shree Krishna gives immense pleasure and happiness to our soul. To read Vedas, Bhagwat Gita is possible through having human body. We can do lot of good things like helping others, donations, social work etc. through being a human. I would prefer to do good things in life and again in next births would like to do social work, to read, learn about Vedas, holy books, about Shree Krishna. If body gets salvation then how do I get all these things? When I read about prachin yug, about Rishis, Munis giving Vedic knowledge near bank of any river, I get excited and I hope that in any of my next birth I want that divine opportunity. I would
like to take birth in Yugas when again some one like Ram or Krishna are on earth so as to see them and meet them as many people of their Yugas must have seen and live with them. So Swamiji, please guide me. I am confused about salvation and opportunity of having human body to do pious deeds.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. At the beginning of the earth, the knowledge of four Vedas emanates from God and is generated in the heart of four Rishis and thereafter through Rishi-Munis traditionally it is spread among the public. What are the Vedas? Vedas are actually the constitution of the world but until and unless the Vedas are listened from learned acharya, nobody can say about Vedas. Generally, most of the saints start speaking against the Vedas without studying and the public follows the views of so-called saints. How the comments can be passed for an unknown matter. So, mere study of the Vedas, as you told, cannot give immense pleasure until its teachings are adopted. When we will pay our attention on its teachings then we will know that there are three types of educations in four Vedas- knowledge (science etc.), form of deeds and moral duties and path of true worship. So, to obtain permanent peace and happiness, the said three educations are required to be adopted from Vedas. As you told about donations, to help others social work etc., has been very well rightly explained in the Vedas, in the absence of which the said pious deeds cannot be done properly and continuously. Yajurveda mantra 40/14 states that we have to get progress both in materialism (science, moral duties, worldly progress etc.) and spiritualism simultaneously.

If a person under the effect of previous pious deeds starts giving donations, helping others, social service etc., without spiritualism i.e., listening of Vedas, daily havan, name jaap, practice of ashtang yoga philosophy under guidance of a learned acharya, his all work may go in vain, say the Vedas and shastras.

So, whatever you are desiring to do, all of it is mentioned/preached in the Vedas in detail and in right way. In the absence of the knowledge, we are not able to discharge our duties truly, in right manner. So, spiritualism is also mandatory. On the other hand, if a person will desire of taking rebirth again and again as human-being, to do pious deeds like social service etc., fulfillment of this desire is not in his hands. Because until a person worships God, he is not entitled to get rebirth in human-body and in his present life also, he is bound to face the result of previous lives’ deeds in the shape of sorrows and happiness because he has left real spiritualism.

Body does not get salvation instead it is burnt on pyre. Only soul which resides in the body gets salvation. One thing more a soul who has attained salvation, becomes free from all kinds of binding of deeds etc. Atharvaveda mantra 9/10/11 therefore states that such soul can come anytime on the earth, at his own desire to help the human-beings. And liberated soul meets with all earlier liberated souls. Moreover, liberated souls still reside on earth, only a devotee is required to locate them through his hard struggle. My blessings to you, my son.

Bipin: Swamiji, Pranam. I am really thankful to you for giving immense knowledge through question & answers through website. Before reading this site I didn’t exactly knew about God, Vedas, motive of life etc. Have also read about your guidance on daily Havan, Ashtang yog etc. I am eager to bring my family to your ashram for your blessings and guidance in future whenever I will get time. Please advice how shall I manage time and what shall be my routine to do pious deeds like havan, pooja etc.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. you are most welcome, please. I appreciate your hard-working to earn, nurse the family and look after the respected elders. Havan can also be performed in the night. It takes only 20 to 25 minutes if performed fully. If the havan is performed by offering the aahuti of Gayatri mantra only then it requires only ten minutes which are enough for such a hard-worker. Thereafter, you can sit on any asan to chant Gayatri mantra along with its meaning, with closed eyes without speaking it and concentrating between two eyebrows. Meaning of Gayatri mantra is also pasted on this website please. Three of my disciple usually visit Bombay from Delhi for their business. All are gentle man and family holder. They daily perform hawan both times, frequently come to me to listen to Vedas and learn yoga philosophy. They daily sit both times to do name jaap of God and meditation. If you desire either one disciple may come to you or you may go to him in Bombay to advise you to more about hawan and name jaap. Spiritual books and Cds either can be sent to you by post or can be given by them to you, if you so desire. Books and Cds will give you immense knowledge regarding Vedas and worship of God. My blessings to your whole family for a long happy life.
