Shivan: Pranam Swamiji Last time I told you I was overfilled I then started studying about Rishi Dayanand , Satyarth Prakash, etc. I lately got involved in a debate with a Muslim when I told him about some of the offences against women permitted in Islam, should I indulge in these activities? The same Muslim brother asked me about an Upanishad allowing violence against women Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 6.4.7. Please explain in detail about this quote. Thanks for your eternal guidance.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. No, please. You should not get indulged in such activities because until a person studies all four vedas and until he does practice daily of Yog Philosophy and name jaap he would not be able to answer correctly to the people asking questions and baseless tug of war may start. First you gain the knowledge, follow vedic path and do practice as quoted above then at least after ten years you would be able to participate in the activities as above.

No Upnishad has created or allowed any violence against woman. On the other hand, Upnishads speak to give respect to the women.
Brihadarannyaka Upnishad 6/4/7:-

Sa chedasmai na dadyaatkaamamenaamavakreenniyaat sa chedasmai naiv dadyaatkaammenaam yashtya waa panninna wophrityaatikraamedinindriyen te yashsa yash aadad ityayasha ev bhavti.

In the above Upnishad it is very well preached, if a married woman does not agree to cohabit with husband to get the progeny then the husband should tell her that he would remain brahmachari for whole of life and she will not get any child and she will repent in old age in the absence of children.

Anonymous: Pranam Guruji , should a human punish himself if he or she has does something wrong?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. When a person commits a sin/wrong then automatically he is punished by God after due course. Now, if the person punishes himself then it is his second crime and he will again be punished by God.
