Vinay Kumar Yadav: Pranam Swamiji- Why there is so many caste in Hindu Religion?
Like Srivastava,Yadav, Mishra, Singh,Verma etc. Is about these many caste mentioned in Vedas?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Caste-system has been made by human-beings and not by God. As per Yajurved mantra 31/11, based on the deeds, four varnnas have been preached by God. Keeping in view, the said mantra, He is Brahmin, who knows four Vedas, has controlled his senses, perceptions, does daily agnihotra with ved mantras, donates the Vedic knowledge to others, he is impartial, speaks truth etc. He is the Kshatriya who has power in his arms to protect the nation from enemies and protect the needy persons etc. He is the vasihya (businessman) who has power in his thigh to travel here and there in connection with business and distributes the materials especially to all concerned and he is shudra who could not get knowledge, could not study and serve others. So, according to Vedas, the said varnnas are not permanent. Therefore, based on qualities, they interchange. So, in Vedas, caste-system is not by birth but is based on pious qualities.

Caste System

Caste system has not been made by God. Therefore, punishment etc., mentioned by people in caste system was against the Vedas and every spiritual book. But now its all okay as per Government. But hundred percent implementation of govt. orders is to be made yet.

Holy books cannot give an order to anyone to avoid preach to any caste because Vedas or other holy books are for human beings/souls and not for any special caste. Such things are occurring only due to lack of study of Vedas, please.

So at present spreading of knowledge of Vedas will sure finish the ravages of hatred. When sun rises, the darkness of the night is over, similarly when knowledge of the Vedas will spread, the illusion will automatically be over. When sun rises, the darkness from the earth is removed from that portion only which comes towards sun. And rest of the portion remains dark. Similarly wherever the Vedic knowledge will spread and be gained, the ignorance/illusion from those human beings will be over. Therefore spreading of knowledge of Vedas and other holy books, is must.

Brahmin gunn (duties of brahmin)

Brahman/brahmin= performs yaj daily, does ashtang yoga practice, obey vedas’ preach, study vedas daily, tells, listens and does deeds based on vedic truth.

Brahma= knows four vedas, and from brahma only the yaj is performed and completed when a yajmaan requests him to perform the yaj.

In the absence of brahma no yaj is considered to be completed.

Yash: How brahmacharya is useful for a student?
Swami Ram Swarup: Brahmacharya matter is so vast that it cannot be fully described here. However, Brahmacharya is the base of human-life and therefore, it starts from birth till 25 years of age, 33 years or 44 years of age. In this connection, I paste my article as under-

Practice of Brahmacharya increases memory to a great extent and gives mental as well physical strength. It gives long, happy life. The hard working continuously for long hours gives no exertion, it keeps the practiser away from all diseases and thus yoga philosophy helps the student to become brilliant.

It is a moral duty of a student to concentrate on hard study and to look after his health. Avoid bad society always concentrate on your Brahmacharya. Awake early in the morning and after bath-brush etc., do holy name jaap of God at least for fifteen minutes. Go for morning walk and light exercises daily. Take plenty of water i.e., 15-20 glass in a day. Always respect your parents, elders and teachers. Must be soft spoken, Avoid TV to see bad scenes, films etc. This all will help you to concentrate in you study. Whatever, you study and learn, try to write on rough book a lot without seeing books etc. Please refer to the book- “Brahmacharya-Dukh Nivarak Divya Mani”.

How to obtain success as a student

A student must do hard study with firm mind to get success. However, ‘WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY’ AND IT IS ALSO SAID THAT “NEVER BECOME NERVOUS AND TRY, TRY, TRY AGAIN.”

Hard working, devotion, dedication, honesty, services to the parents and elders to follow eternal religion mentioned in Vedas, practice of Ashtang Yoga, discharge moral duties to get progress simultaneously in education, science and in spiritualism, do daily havan, to make contact with the learned Acharya, to get his advice are some of the pious deeds which make the future bright and kill the sorrows, problems, diseases, etc.

One must awake early in the morning for early morning walk and exercises. Must sit on meditation and chant holy name of God, must be away from any addiction and non-vegetarian. Such pious actions lead to long, happy life and bright future.

THE HARD STUDY DONE BY STUDENTS AND THEIR GOOD HEALTH WILL SURE GIVE THEM SUCCESS TO MAKE THEM A GOOD EARNING HAND. THE STUDENT MUST ALSO CHANT GAYATRI MANTRA DAILY.
