Prasanna: When a person attains puberty it is nature prepares him/her for family life. But many sacred books suggests brahmacharya for adhyatma sadhana. We come across many stories of great saints and rishis that had desires but they are regarded. Is brahmacharya practice not against the nature?
Swami Ram Swarup: How can brahamcharya practice can be considered against nature when God Himself has preached all the human–beings to adopt it? Bheeshma Pitamah and several other dignitaries adopted it. In Yajurved, human -beings have been advised to maintain brahmacharya, minimum upto to the age of 25 years, then upto 33 years then for 44 years and then even for entire life. As regards, maintain of brahmacharya by our Rishis (ancient and present) while in family life, its process has also been very well preached about maintaining brahamcharya in family life. Vedon ka gyan aur us gyan ko jeevan mein dharann na karne ke karan sabse bade shatru to hamare kaam, krodh, mad, lobh, ahankar, ninda, raag, dwesh, chugli, alasya aadi hain aur in shatruon ke karan hamare aur kai shatru apne aap ban jaate hain. Aur vedic sadhna, kathor Ashtang yog aadi karke jo Samadhi prapt yogi hote hain unhe Ishwar ka darshan prapt hota hai, unkee indriyan sanyam mein hotee hain, weh propkari hote hain, samdrishti rakhte hain, isliye unka koi shatru nahin hota.
