Shilpa: How to Do Havan in a proper way? Daily havan is a very peace giving process, however sometimes you live in a place where you don’t get all the things needed for havan. So how to do havan in limited things? Which are mandatory things needed for Havan?
Swami Ram Swarup: To do the hawan in proper way, I’ve prepared a Video C.D. /Audio C.D. It will be very helpful to you if you would listen and see the proper way of performing Yajyen in C.D. You will also able to pronounce the Ved mantras well. You are also advised to read my book- Yajyen karma- Sarvashreshth Ishwar Pooja (in Hindi) in which every Ved mantra, along with its, meaning and detailed idea has been stated, to perform hawan. One CD has also been prepared explaining the detailed meaning, explanation and idea of mantra, both in Hindi and in English. The above Cds/books can be sent on receipt of your postal address, if you desire.

When there is no possibility of performing hawan while in journey etc., then the whole process of the hawan should be chanted within heart without speaking orally, either sitting on asan or chair or while lying , as the situation suits but daily hawan should not broken.

Gopal Popati: Pranam Swamiji, Even today, the knowledge of Vedas or teaching Vedas is confined to only Brahmin Community. Does this tradition has any support in Vedas?
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. No, please, the Vedas do not accept that Vedas teachings are meant only for Brahmin family who are Brahmins by birth only. Yajurveda mantra 31/11 states that Brahmin title is not given by birth but it is awarded by God or learned acharya, when a devotee becomes learned of four Vedas and Ashtang Yoga Philosophy and adopts the teachings in his daily life and thus he performs daily Yajyen, does name jaap of God, practices ashtang yoga philosophy, becomes able to control five senses, perceptions and mind, becomes soft spoken and remains always benevolent to living-beings. So, knowledge of Vedas is meant for Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, Shudras equally. Otherwise, how friction, hate would be destroyed, failing which peace, international brotherhood cannot be maintained. You see, keeping away the Vedas knowledge from human-beings, how drastic/dangerous problems are being experienced at world level.

Rajdeep Dhar: Who is LORD Krishna ? An avtar or the supreme?
Swami Ram Swarup: Supreme power was, is and shall always remain in future who is none else than Almighty, Formless God who creates, nurses, destroys and again creates the universe. As stated in Yajurveda mantra 32/3, there cannot be any idol of God, He being formless and omnipresent. However, the God is originated in the heart of a Yogi because Sri Krishna Maharaj ji was a learned of Vedas and Ashtang Yoga Philosophy and thus in Bhagwad Geeta he was called Yogeshwar, means Almighty, Formless God had originated within his heart. In this connection, I also paste my article as below-

Shri Krishna Maharaj a Yogi

Shri Krishna Maharaj was a complete Yogi and Almighty God manifested within him. He was not God but equivalent to God as God gives all His powers to such yogis. But still one power to create and destroy the universe is not given to the Yogi. Everything does not happen with Parmatma’s wish. According to Yajurveda mantra 7/48, we, the human-beings are free to do pious deeds or sins but result is awarded by God in the shape of happiness and sorrows respectively.

Why did Shri Krishna tell Arjuna in Bhagwadgeeta that I am the Supreme Personality?

As per Vedas, avtar is not possible please. To determine every truth, the main proof are Vedas, which are called self proof. Vedas state that after getting the knowledge from a learned Acharya, when an aspirant performs Yajyen, does pious deeds, discharges his moral duties faithfully, while doing the same he does practice of Ashtang yoga, he thus attains Asamprgyat samadhi. At this stage of Samadhi, Almighty God becomes present within him. Samveda mantra 944 states that at the stage of the Asamprgyat samadhi within the yogi, the preach of Vedas which flows from the mouth of Yogi is inspired by God Himself. So the Yogi at this stage can say, “I am Ganesh, I am Shiva, I have created universe and all must worship me etc., etc.” because at this stage the words uttered by the yogi are inspired by God Himself and the words are directed from God.

Secondly, the souls who had got salvation may come back and take birth to guide the people. And after doing his job the soul goes back at his own to realize salvation. This is as per Atharvaveda mantra 9/10/11. So within the soul of Shri Krishna Maharaj actually the words of God were uttered which are true. However, one must know that Yajurveda mantra 32/1 too says that there is only one formless God, who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. But His names are several according to His qualities.
