Anonymous: How to act towards father who becomes addicted to other women rather
than wife?
Swami Ram Swarup: It is personal matter, you may only discuss and advise your father to refrain from such activity. Otherwise, ever body has to face the result of bad deeds alone.

Amit: Charan Sparsh Swamiji. How much desire about the things we should have? I mean to say that some scholars say that we should not have worldly desires in order to reach higher state of Yog and finally to attain Moskha. We should not think about ‘Yash’ and ‘Kirti’. But, I have read a mantra 611 of Samved (Yasho maa dyawa prithvi) which says ‘Mujhe antriksh aur pritvi kaa yash prapt ho, aishwarya kaa yash prapt ho, yash aur kirti mujhe na chhode’ and so on. Now, I am confused about this topic that if getting ‘yash’ is bad then why Vedas mention about it? Kindly
enlighten me by putting some light on it.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Bad desires are controlled by listening to Vedas and following its path. Then the person starts doing daily havan/yajyen with Ved mantras, name jaap of God and practice of ashtang Yoga. If he is a real aspirant then as a result of his said
worship, bad desires are destroyed and the pious desires earning to face the expenditure of daily life and doing daily worship etc., are continued alone. Yash-kirti is a necessity in life, please. So, it
comes under pious desire. There are sixteen kalas in which yash-kirti is one of them.

Himanshu: Please send me the book on Vedanta.
Swami Ram Swarup: Books have been sent to you, please.

CS: I am pregnant. I am listening to grabh sanskar CD but the thing is that I don’t know the meaning of Atharvaveda, Yajurveda, Shri Maharuda mantra, Rigveda mantra, Atma Sanskara Shatkam, Vira-rasa-sanskara shalok, Samveda mantra and Ashirvachanan. Please help. I want to understand them please.
Swami Ram Swarup: As regards Vedas, it is an eternal, everlasting knowledge which
emanates direct from God, in the shape of Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda and Atharvaveda. The said four Vedas give us three main educations.

THREE EDUCATIONS

There are three educations/preach about (i) knowledge – science etc., (Gyan) in Rigveda, At the time of every creation, knowledge of four Vedas emanates direct from God and is originated in the heart of four Rishis in non-sexual creation. In the said process, first of all, the knowledge of Rigveda advents and originates in the heart of Rishi Agni. In this Veda though the description of every worldly matter right from straw to God has been mentioned but it speaks especially about matters concerning science of the world. God has described qualities/nature of all materialistic articles of the universe. Therefore, the entire mankind must get the benefit of eternal knowledge of Vedas by knowing about right from straw to Brahma i.e., God. The meaning of “Ric” is that
wherein the qualities and nature of all matters have been described and the meaning of Veda is knowledge i.e., true knowledge. These words are used in making the pious word “Rigveda”.

(ii) In Yajurveda, the form of true, pious deeds have been preached. So, in the absence of listening of Yajurveda, we can’t know about real moral duties of students, married persons, vanprasthis and
sanyasis. Even the moral and social obligations of King, parents, children etc., can’t be known.

(iii) In Samveda there is preach about eternal true worship of God like yajyen, name jaap, practice of ashtang yoga by following which an aspirant realises God/attains salvation.

(iv) Atharvaveda authenticates the above three Vedas’ preach. It also contains comprehensive knowledge of medical science.

So, Almighty God who is formless, creates, nurses, destroys and again creates universe. This process is eternal and everlasting. So, at the time of beginning of each non-sexual creation, the knowledge of above four Vedas emanates direct from God and is originated in the heart of
four Rishis. The knowledge is given by the God to the human-beings for their welfare/benefit because until the knowledge is given by somebody, no one can attain the knowledge. In the beginning of the creation, no preacher, guru, acharya, teacher is present there to teach. So, God gives the knowledge.

Remaining are Shri Maharudra mantra, atma sanskar shatkam, vira-rasa sanskar shloka, ashirvachanam which would have been mentioned in the respective books for which a local pandit can be contacted by you.
