Arya: Hello Swami ji, my question is that I wanted to accept the Vedic path, but on youtube i saw a video with the title scientific errors in Vedas for example:
1.the moon is 50000 leagues higher than the sun
2.Moon shines by its own light
3.night is caused by the suns setting behind a huge mountain
4.several thousand feet high, sun locatet in the centre of the earth
5. that this world, flat and triangular
6.world is composed of 7 states one of honey, another of sugar, a third of butter, and still another of wine
7. the whole mass is borne on the heads of countless elephants, which in shaqing produce earthquakes.
Swami ji can you show me how much truth is in this video because I have so much faith in Vedas but when I read this my faith was away. But I hope there are no scientific errors in Vedas. Because I have not read the Vedas that is why I cannot say that is true or not but you have study Vedas and I am sure that you can give me an answer.
Swami Ram Swarup: Your views to accept Vedic path are highly appreciated because it is the path where the preach in the form of Ved mantras emanates direct from God. In this connection please read the article on Vedas’ Philosophy.

Now, I want to tell that to err is human and not of God. Then how can we imagine that any statement in Vedas can be wrong? I mean to say that statement quoted by scientists and the same quoted by you are totally false because the same do not exist in Vedas. Vedas tell that not only the sun but entire universe gets light form Almighty God. Further, moon’s and star’s etc., shine taking the light from the sun, says Rigveda mantra 10/86/12. Similarly, other statements quoted by scientists are wrong. Otherwise, they should quote Ved mantras in support.

Pankaj: Sir,Charan sparsh, (1) Sir I am still waiting translation of Amavasya and Puranmasi mantras in hindi, sir can we eat rice on ekadasi, or a part of havan what should we do on these three important days ? need your humble guidance.
(2) Sir while doing havan can I use to recite Ved mantra from a book which has been sent by you as well as ((om bhur bhuva)) after that can I use Ved mantra om triyambakam yajamahe. Regards
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you.
(1) I’m sorry that due to busy in spiritual routine of hard spiritual tasks, I could not send the meanings which are ready to be sent. Please, send your postal address and we will immediately send you by post.

Yes, you can eat rice on ekadashi because there is no such restriction in Vedas. Daily hawan is performed for the whole of life, both times because it is a worship of God.

Special mantras are only recited along with daily sandhya mantras on Poornnima and amavasya but for ekadashi, no special mantra is advised in Vedas. So, daily hawan with sandhya mantras should be continued.

(2)Yes, please you can add Yajurveda mantra 3/60 (Triyambakam Yajamahe….) also and after the said mantra recite Gayatri mantra and then offer poornna aahuti.
