Swami Ramswarup: Daily morning walk, light exercises and practice of asan and pranayaam both times is beneficial for your mother. As regards HB (Haemoglobin), please take advise from medical authorities and take daily chukundar (beet root), Kishmish (Raisins), dates (Khajoor), Palak (Spinach). Daily milk must be taken both times.
Simran: Maharajji,Charan Sparsh, I want to know about mundan sanskar. Is it compulsory because i belong to sikh family which does not allow cutting of hair?
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you, my daughter.
CHOODAQKARM SANSKAAR- (MUNDAN CEREMONY)
In this sanskaar, all hair on the head of the child, that have been there since he was nourished in mother’s womb are removed by barber while performing holy Yajyen. These hair are removed either in the first year of birth or in the third year. Round about two and a half years of age, child has about 20 teeth in his mouth. Due to growth of teeth, child suffers heaviness and heat in his head, the gums are swollen and he may also suffer loose motions. Owing to all this, child displays irritated nature. Thus to overcome all these problems, his hair are removed. Moreover it is essential to remove the hair from child’s head which he holds since the time he is nurtured in his mother’s womb. The hair are removed while chanting Ved mantras and the whole ceremony is conducted while performing Yajyen.
Mundan sanskar is performed just after completion of two years of age, please. I think, your children have crossed the age. Moreover, you are from sikh family. So you need not to perform it.
C: I am older son in my family…and want to marry in next month. but there is jyeshta months. That girl also older in their family, everybody said that it becomes three jyeshta…so please guide, shall I marry in jyeshta month? Is there loophole? Please suggest.
Swami Ramswarup: Marriage is in the hand of Almighty God. However, God helps those who help themselves. You must also do daily hawan with Gayatri mantra both times. In the end of hawan, you must pray to God daily for His blessings for the same. It will be much better if you also, chant the Gayatri mantra in heart without speaking it, sitting on any asan, along with its meaning.
Everyday emanates from sun (surya) but the process has been made by God. So, everyday, time, second etc., is always pious. So, the marriage can be performed anytime.
