Lalit: If Sita who followed the Vedas meticulously was kidnapped by Ravan then what about ordinary human beings? Did she suffer because of her past karmas?
Swami Ram Swarup: Sita Mata did not obey the advise of Laxman and crossed the laxman Rekha . She forced Sri Ram to bring the deer inspite of the advice that deer should not be taken because the jungle was full of devils. However, reason may be the said or other but the power of doing daily hawan had made Sita pure and kept always pure even in captivity of Ravana.

Luckr: I have been practising mantra jap, whole day for many years now. I am looking for a guru who can share some powerful mantras of satya yug for jap. I would really like to do my whole lifetime for mokasha, for love and success and marriage to one I want.
Swami Ram Swarup: The true guru is searched by wandering in cities, jungles etc. Vedas tell that true guru has knowledge of four Vedas and ashtang Yoga Philosophy. He has control on his five senses, perceptions and mind. He does not favour and always remains impartial. He always speaks only truth. So, please search the guru otherwise life will be of no use.
Alvin Lal: My questions are about time, which I wish to clarify.
Time is eternal as you have stated. For a person, time starts when they are first conceived and ends when the person dies. This is that person’s start time and end time. The duration of the start and end time is called the person’s age. However for the rest of in parallel time is also still continuing. Based upon this:
A) Is time a constant/same for everyone and we (humans) are the variables that are changing?
B) OR is time a variable that is always changing and we humans are the constant?
C) Time being eternal, is it therefore present with Almighty, soul, prakirti in the beginning?
D) Is it possible to go back in time, even before birth while still maintaining current body?
The earth revolves on it’s own axis and also it is in orbit around the sun at the same time. One revolution on it’s own axis we humans call a day / 24 hours, and one orbit around the sun we call a year 365 days. Based on this:
A) Theoretically IF is it possible that the earth can revolve in the opposite direction to the current rotation? If this occurs, let alone the huge disaster, are we actually going back in time ?
B) Same thing for earth’s orbit around the sun, if it reverse direction, are we actually going back in time?
C)Who has made the measurements of time into seconds, minutes, hours, days, years ? Is it man-made or almighty ?
D) Why is it that one revolution of earth on it’s own axis = 1 day / 24 hours ? Is it man-made ? And one orbit around the sun = 1 year(365 days), is this man-made or almighty? Bahaut Dhanaywaad, Guruji… Pranaam.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you.
(A) Time is always labouring on and does not stop even after the final destruction of universe.
Changes occur always for the non-alive matters made of prakriti like human-bodies, sun, moon, etc.
(B) Time is unchangeable.
(C) Time is eternal and always remains present with Almighty God, souls and prakriti.
(D) Never, please. It is not possible to go back in past.
(A and B) states that fundamental laws of universe are always unchangeable. So, movement of earth on its own axis and revolution around sun can’t be changed.
(C) Time being eternal is not made by man.
(D) No, please. It is not man-made but God.
Shantha: 1. For a married woman there is no life without husband so can she pray for death also along with her husband, is it possible, is there any mantra for this or procedure?
2. Can you suggest some home remedy for helping to quit both smoking and drinking.
Swami Ram Swarup: (1.) No, please. Women must never pray for death if her husband is dead first.
(2.) To discuss and remember all the harmful dangerous effects of smoking and drinking and thereafter to have a firm decision to quit it is the way to leave smoking and drinking.
