Sagar: Swamiji you have mentioned earlier that life exists in other planets. Would it be possible to know how the humans look like do they look like us,are they more advanced than us,are they of same species humans classified into male, female, children? Thank you.
Swami Ram Swarup: I’ve several times stated on this website perhaps you have oversighted that the living beings are completely of different types in other planets, due to their environments.

Shwetabh: Dear guru ji, namashkar! Can any human being define God? which is, as I suppose itself a thing that is beyond any explanation. Nowadays many spiritual people can claim that they exactly know the “ALMIGHTY”,but isn’t like talking about life after death, where nobody exactly knows what happens after death because nobody has experienced it. So how can we exactly know the God & how can any person or idea can claim that yes this is the best or exactly one to understand the GOD?
Swami Ram Swarup: Namaskar. Nobody can define the God, completely as is also stated in Yajurveda mantra 40/4 that, “Nainnaddeva Aapnuvan”

That is, no perception, sense organ and mind is able to know the God. For example- Whatever has been seen by eyes and matter collected ear, nose, tongue and skin is so limited that unlimited God cannot be grasped through these senses, perceptions and mind. Suppose, one has seen U.S.A., Canada, sun, moon etc., through eyes and known them through mind and intellect. You see, all the said knowledge is limited and God is far – far beyond it. Yogi also realises God but without senses and that is why, he also can’t define God completely. Even Vedas have not defined God completely and have told-“Neti- Neti- Neti” i.e., this is not the end of definition of God because God is beyond it. You see, a limited mind and intellect can’t grasp the unlimited God. So, due to the real knowledge of Vedas, mostly the saints have misled the people and declared that they know the God completely or they themselves are God.

The knowledge about God, rebirth, Prakriti, soul, creation etc., is eternal and its existence has very well been mentioned in Vedas.

Rishi-munis followed Vedic knowledge and realized everything and accordingly, they’ve mentioned the said fact in their shastras/holy books etc. If we study Vedas, we’ll find that knowledge of Vedas first emanates from God in the beginning of the earth, there are three types of educations in Vedas.

There are four Vedas:
1. Rig Veda – gives knowledge of science, matter of the universe like sun, moon, air body etc., etc.
2. Yajurveda – gives knowledge of all the deeds and duties to be performed by men or women, students, leaders, king, agriculturist etc., etc., etc.

3 Samveda – gives knowledge how to worship God who gives peace and long happy life etc. In this way, details of Yoga philosophy, qualities, supreme deeds and nature of the God are also given.

4 Atharvaveda – gives details of God, medical science and details of medicine etc.

Actually in four Vedas there is unlimited knowledge. Yajurveda mantra 40/8 says that God is everywhere, is Almighty, formless, devoid of nervous system, purest, away from sins and away to face any result of any karmas (deeds), knows every soul, knows what is in everyone’s mind, no body has made God, but God creates universe, has given the eternal knowledge of four Vedas and always gives the said knowledge at the beginning of every universe to know the science and deeds to all concern. Similarly four Vedas say about God that God is an omnipresent, omniscient, formless, beyond imagination and beyond calculation. Actually God has unlimited qualities. There is only one God who creates, nurses, destroys the universe and again
creates. Atharvaveda mantra 4/1/1 also says that God gives the knowledge of Vedas at the beginning of the earth to four Rishis of unsexual creation. And thereafter only public listens Vedas through Rishis Munis as yet and become learned. Rig-Veda gives knowledge of Almighty, Yajurveda gives knowledge of karmas (deeds), Samveda tells about worship-Yoga philosophy and Atharvaveda about medicines and God. Actually all Vedas commonly says about God also, so this is about Vedas in short. But the knowledge of Vedas is endless.

It is a fundamental law that knowledge is always given by somebody otherwise knowledge can’t be gained at any cost. If a new born baby is nursed well in a dense jungle and is not educated then he will not be able to gain any knowledge. So we have to think about the origin of the knowledge prevalent in the world today. In this connection all Vedas themselves say that God gives this knowledge to four Rishis. As has also been said by Rishi Patanjali in yoga shastra sutra 1/26, God is first Guru of the four Rishis. Yajurveda mantra 31/7 also refers. This is all in short about Vedas.

You see, when the knowledge first emanates direct from God in the beginning of the creation and is originated in the heart of four Rishis, naturally it was an unseen greatest miracle of God. Even I would say that it is greatest mercy of God showered on human-beings to become learned because in non-sexual creation everybody was ignorant. Here, is the answer that the Rishi realized that they were ignorant earlier and suddenly they’ve become learned of all above quoted three educations.
In the above educations, science also exists.

You see, when the four Rishis started explaining all the above scientific educations to the ignorant people, sure they would have become astonished and accepted the eternal knowledge of Vedas. I mean to say, nobody knew about barley, wheat, cereals, fruits, cow’s milk, goats, rearing of animals, sun, moon etc., but when the four Rishis started telling about universe’s matters then how listeners/followers could raise doubt over creation and creator?

Now, I would say after Mahabharat war, regular teaching of Ved mantras has eloped and when it is spread (heart to heart) now naturally the people would ask about its truth. Because the people are not aware about heart to heart knowledge told by first four Rishis and thereafter by other Rishis who gained it heart to heart. That is why, learned Kapil Muni who has written Sankhya Shastra has stated in Sankhya Sutra 1/57 “Ishwaraasiddhehe”

i.e., If presently a new devotee would ask proof of existence of Almighty God or rebirth etc., than there would be no way to consider the existence of God.

so, it is hundred percent right conclusion of ancient Rishis that believe in Vedas and learned acharya of Vedas who still knows about God and rebirth etc., by virtue of their hard study of Vedas, yajyen and practice of Ashtang Yoga Philosophy.

In this connection, Rishi Patanjali very well states in Yog Shastra Sutra 1/7

PRATYAKSHANUMANAAGAMAHA PRAMANNANI

That to prove the existence of Almighty God, creation and rebirth etc. the Vedas are considered self-proof and thereafter proof of Vedic preach of alive learned Yogi.

Aashish: Pranam Guruvar, Ever since i’ve come across the website of Vedmandir, i come over to it very often and spend hours reading Q & A section. I along with others who found this website should consider themselves fortunate to find a spiritual Acharya in this material world. It is so unfortunate that we had been ignorant of the right path which is so full of happiness and are unnecessarily running like idiots in this material world and unknowingly spoiling our society and making it more materialistic in return. Our revered scriptures, should be taught in every school in the entire Bharatvarsha right from the early childhood as was the case before the advent of Britishers. It is so unfortunate and heart breaking that even after 70 years of independence our country is pushing the English education system which was infact established by reached Lord Macauly around 1835 to uproot our native educations hence to ease administration and loot the Bharatvarsha. Rather than reverting back to our native education system of learning Sanskrit, Ramayan, Vedic teaching, Astang yoga etc. this country is pushing itself into a bottomless pit, what a pity. Anyways, The amount of time that you take out to answer the Questions of people, the efforts that you are putting in to spread the true path of Vedic life/knowledge, the hope that you give to the needy and all this in return of nothing is so praiseworthy. There are simply no words or phrase to express the appreciation. Please, accept my heartiest reverence and regards. Charansparsh.

Swami Ram Swarup: Your views regarding materialistic attachment of people nowadays are really appreciated that you know materialism as well as spiritualism which is the first requirement to begin worship. My blessings to you for a long, happy life.

Yes, it is our bad luck that our country is still after English i.e., European education system and due to lack of Vedic knowledge, western country culture in the matter of talking, singing, eating, wearing clothes etc., is increasing day by day.

Due to the lack of knowledge of our Vedic culture in our leaders, they are also not able to spread the national Vedic culture mentioned in Valmiki Ramayan, Tulsikrit Ramayan, six shastras, Upnishads and ancient granths/holy books written by Rishis in Sanskrit language. You know, our culture is hidden in ancient books of Sanskrit language and we are spreading English language which naturally is making room of their western culture in the heart of our generations and the result will automatically be of destructive nature for our country because it is stated that – “If you want to destroy a nation then destroy its culture and nation shall perish away at its own accord.”

I’m not against English language because it has now become International language and to participate in International activities its knowledge is indespensible. So, our Government must accept Sanskrit, Hindi and folk languages first and then English language must be as an option.
My heartiest blessings again to you, my son. I would like to present you my audio and video Cds of Vedic spiritual songs. I therefore request you to send your postal address.

Raju: Why people pray Kal bhairav and what are the benefits? Please advise on what adversity we should pray?
Swami Ram Swarup: Worship/pray of Kal Bhairav is not mentioned in Vedas so learned of Vedas do not accept it, please. I also paste my article in this regard Samveda mantra 679 states (Saha) The God (Kavyen) through Vedas (Vived) gives knowledge i.e., makes aspirant able to understand truth. Based on the Vedic philosophy Patanjali Rishi in his Yog Shastra Sutra 1/7 states
“PRATYAKSHANUMANAAGAMAHA PRAMANNANI”
i.e., Vedas are the self-proof to decide truth and false. In this connection, I paste my article below:-
How to determine truth/reach at a conclusion

Samveda mantra 350 states (SHUDDAN) pure (SAMNA) chanting of Samveda (SHUDDHAI UKTHAIHI) by purest ved mantras (VA VRIDHVANGSAM) Almighty (SHUDDHAM) the purest (INDRAM) God (STAVAN) worship/praise (SHUDDHAI) by the purest mantras, the God (NU) soon (ASHIRVAAN) showers blessings and (MAMATTU) becomes happy.

Meaning: The mantra states that Oh! Aspirant, chant Samveda and by its purest Ved mantras worship the purest God, so that He may bless us and soon become happy on us.

Similarly, Yajurveda mantra 40/8 states that God is (SHUDDHAM) the purest (APAAPVIDDHAM ) never faces any kind of sin, (AKAYA) formless.

The deep consideration of the said mantras reveals that God is formless and always remains the purest. The consideration of the subject “creation” would also reveal that God is the Lord of prakriti and souls. Illusion originates from Prakriti which never effects God, He being the purest.
This proves the fact that the knowledge of all four Vedas which emanates direct from God is also the purest having originated from the purest God.

Secondly, Atharvaveda mantra 4/30/3 and Yajurveda mantra 40/7 state that a Rishi/Yogi who is learned of Vedas and after practising Ashtang Yoga, has realised God then God tells that “I Myself make him Brahmin, Rishi providing him with purest divine mind.” So Rishis are those who have realised Almighty God as well as have seen the meaning and idea of the ved mantras within them in Samadhi that is why, the Rishis are called – Mantradrishta Iti Rishi. That is why, Patanjali Rishi in Yog Shastra Sutra quoted above states that Rishi is also the purest due to his said hard Tapasya. So he also never tells a lie, so the writings and views of the Rishis in the shape of holy books, like the books quoted above, are also accepted as authentic.

VEDAS ARE SELF PROOF AND THE BOOKS OF RISHIS ARE ALSO THE PROOF, AFTER VEDAS.

Therefore we must accept the above eternal facts to determine the truth. It means at present also, any view or any statement in the present book are considered true if it tallies with Vedas and the books written by Rishis, otherwise not this eternal tradition was adopted in the ancient times. As a result, the public mostly remained away from illusion.
