Vinay Arya: Namaste Guruji. I have seen on some Arya Samaj site that there is a mind in soul also. When we die, that mind goes along with the soul. Is it true? If it is right then please tell me, when we think then which mind do we use? Soul’s mind or the head one?
Swami Ram Swarup: Namasteji. Yes, when the soul leaves the body at the time of death, along with soul seventeen matters go out which are – five breaths, five senses, five suksham bhoot and mann (mind) and intellect. It is called suksham shareer i.e., the minutest body of the soul. It always remains with the soul during birth and death. When we think, we do so from sthool (corporal/physical) mind and when soul leaves the body. He leaves along with suksham mind. In this connection, I also paste my article below-

Suksham sharer is of two types- one natural as stated above and second is of seventeen matters i.e., five senses, five vital airs (prann), five minutest matters of five tatvas i.e., Prithivi, Jal, Akash, Vayu, agni and mind and intellect. When normally unlimited souls leave the body then such souls contain the said seventeen matters with which the soul goes in the womb of mother to take next birth. The matter of happening and birth in case of unliberated souls is known only by God who gives next birth based on previous lives’ deeds because unliberated souls remain unconscious (sushupt) after leaving bodies and liberated soul uses his natural body to see, hear etc., as quoted above. Unliberated souls have no knowledge of surroundings whereas liberated souls know everything including the process of creation, nursing and destruction.

Vishal: Namaste Guruji, You have changed life & thinking of many people I among them. Now when I read the Veda I think it is just a mis-conception spread against Veda by some people to fill there belly. Guruji when I go through the your question & answer session on Internet you have said Veda says Neti…Neti…… that means there are many things which are not mentioned in Veda. So how can we refuse the Tantrik or worship of Kali,Kundli Match or God reincarnation etc. concepts.Although I also not believe in these. Again Charan Sparsh.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my son.

Yes, you’re right that many people have spread mis-conception against Vedas being selfish/to fill belly. Yes, there is no end of knowledge of Vedas. Neti means “ this is not the end” i.e., whatever has been stated in Vedas regarding the power, knowledge , deeds and unlimited qualities of God it is not an end and as stated in Yajurveda mantra 31/3 the God is beyond the universe. He is beyond imagination, calculation and description. So, neti, pious word has been used for Almighty God only. Otherwise, as regards matter of universe, everything has been mentioned in Vedas. so, the matters of world, not mentioned in Vedas, are considered false by the learned , Vedas being self-proof.

Arun: Please send me Brahamcharya Dukh Nivarak Divya Mani and Shrimad Bhagwadgeet (Vol 1 and 2).
Swami Ram Swarup: The books are being sent to you, please. Thanks.
