He said one of the root causes of problems such as corruption, violence, etc. is that people believe in God but are not aware of the qualities of God. If people believe that God is only present in temples then they will not be honest in life since they believe that God is not omnipresent and is not watching their misdeeds.
He said compared to these blind followers Mirza Ghalib, who did not believe in religion, was better. He quoted him: “Jaahid sharaab peene de maszid me baith kar warna wo jagah bataa de jahaan Khuda na ho…” Swamiji said even if Mirza Ghalib did not follow truth in life, at least he knew that he was committing a sin while drinking. Mirza Ghalib had written this after he saw a preacher coming out of a bar.
He said India was a golden bird and ‘Vishwaguru’ because of Rishi and Munis such as Vyas Muni, Vishwamitra, etc. He said that earlier there were maximum 10-12 Rishis on the earth. Now, there are so many who claim themselves as sadhus.
He also gave the message to people to work towards nation. He sang a deshbhakti geet:
“Ab jaag uthe hain hum, kuch kar de dikha denge
Aye maa tere charnnon me aakash jhuka denge”
He also spoke on Kashmir:
“Kashmir jo hamara hai, voh jaan se pyara hai”
On the day of New Year, he asked people to take a ‘Sankalp’ to make a difference for the nation.
He also told people to go back to Vedas. He also sang “Aao laut chale us aur, jahan Rishi Ved sunate hain,” and “Yeh Kaun Rachnakar hai”.
