Swami Ramswarup - Brief Profile

Swami Ram Swarup, Yoga-acharya was born on 6-6-1940 at Rohtak in Haryana , educated upto F.Sc.(12th) and studied electrical engg. from City & Guilds University of London. He joined Military engg. services and served with the defence services for 26 yrs. Retired on 31st march 1986. From childhood he always had an attachment to Sadhus/Saints. And so continued his worship and meditation from childhood and even while in Army services.

Graduated in vocal and instrumental music (B.A) examination from Allahabad University. Is fond of music , best artiste of tabla, Harmonium and Banjo. Has always being singing spiritual songs while preaching. Has released 5 spiritual song cassettes containing preachings too.

Has studied 4 Vedas, Shashtras , Upanishads,Mahabharat(including BhagwatGeeta), Both Valmiki and Tulsi Ramayans, Brahman Granth like Yaskacharya, Shatpath, Manusmiriti.etc. Studied Sh. Guru Granth Sahib and habitual of singing shabad kirtan on harmonium. Studied Purans, Holy Bible, Kuransharif.

He met a great Yogi Guru in dense cave of Rishikesh and by his kind blessings got yoga education and did hard Ashtang Yoga practice in ladakh, Rishikesh, Rajouri-Punch border while in army service. He got enlightenment on 19th March 1979 by the blessings of Yogi Guru Late Sh. Baba BrahmDass Bankhandiji Maharaj.

Since 1971 has been delievering spiritual preachings of Vedas, Shastras , Geeta etc. and condemns all bad evils of society. In 1987 organised Ved and Yoga Mandir at New Delhi as well as at Yol Bazar in distt. Kangra of Himachal Pradesh. He is writer of 4 spiritual Books- Atmik Udgar (1988), Manava Dharam Shiksha(1998),Vedik Satsang sangrah(1999), Brief Experience comments on world famous Holy Yoga book Patanjali Yoga Darshan(1999). Has performed thousands of Holy Yajanas since 1980 in public and have been preaching in Punjab, J&K, Delhi, UP, Bihar, Bombay,Orissa etc.

Went to USA on invitation of a disciple and delivered spiritual lectures on Yoga & Yajna in New York, Orlando And Takahasee. Selected there as professor of Yoga in Hindu University of America Tampa(Orlando). Bogor International Club Indonesia has been printing his Yoga education Articles.

Has been writing regularly in several local papers like Divya Himachal (Kangra), Himachal Kesari(Dharamshala-H.P) Shail Samvad, Dharamshala(Spiritual Editor too), Kashmir Times, Kashmir Post, Raghunath Samachar, Views Today, Bismark(Bilingual-Daily), State Times, Daily Excelcior(News Papers of J&K) Dainik Jagran, Amar Ujala (Jallandar). Has been writing in Yojana Patrika of J & K Govt., Himgyanlok Patrika of Himachal Govt., Vishv Jyoti Patrika of Hoshiarpur Punjab, Propkari Patrika of Ajmer(Rajisthan), Jangyan Patrika of Dehli , Mystic India of Delhi, Unity International news paper of Dehli, Chief Patron and regular writer of PsychoDigest from Dharamshala H.P. Swamiji is a founder President of Ved & Yoga Mandir Yol Camp Himachal Pradesh And New Delhi. He is the President , chief guest in social working societies and delivers education/Preachings there. Has been organizing 4 Vedas Anusthan from last week of April upto 2nd week of June Yearly since 1980 and people from all parts of India with their families attend yagna and get Veda & Yoga education. In Yol Ashram Daily Hawan of Ved Mantras is done since 1980 both times at Morning and Evening. Disciples/People always get Yoga education and preach from Ved-Shastras regularly. He teaches Ved-Shastras, Geeta, Ramayana, Shabad Kirtan and specially Yoga education regularly.
