Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. Yes, my daughter all pious sanskars including mundan sanskar of a child are necessary. The mundan sanskar usually is performed either at the age of one year or three plus.
Yes, it is based scientifically that sanskar is done to liberate extra heat from the head of a child but sanskar when is done along with performance of holy Yajyen with Ved mantras then it showers blessings of God for a long, happy life and several other pious affects are imprinted on the chitta of the child for his entire life and also on the persons who attend the Yajyen. So, Yajyen is beneficial for both reasons-scientific and spiritual.
S: Believe in God but no inclination to do pooja. Love of Shiva and seeings snakes in dream. Facing problems in life.
Swami Ram Swarup: If somebody would say that he can’t understand that he believes in serving the parents yet he has no time to serve them, then what would you say to that, my daughter. One more thing, why must we serve parents/elders. Answer is clear that they have nursed us during childhood and we have to serve them in return and Vedas say to do the same. Similarly, God has provided us all the household assets etc., to live upon. Then Vedas says we must offer our gratitude/thankfulness towards God for his kindness. Thankfulness to God is stated to be shown by doing worship of God based on Vedas.
We must also know the fundamental of the Vedas, shastras and all true holy books that no one wants sorrows. Everyone desires to be happy. Our ancient Rishis have therefore stated that in the absence of the worship of God, no one can attain permanent peace or permanent long, happy life. He will have to face the sorrows etc. So, it is left upto man/woman whether he/she wishes to worship God or not. Yajurveda mantra 40/14 Clearly states to attain progress simultaneously in spiritualism as well worldly sphere (science, education, agriculture etc) in this life.
One-sided progress made proves to be dangerous to the humanity. You know, a boy/girl goes to school to get education. Similarly, he should also go to a learned acharya of Vedas and yoga philosophy to get the knowledge of spiritualism as well. We have to think why Sri Ram, Sri Krishna Maharaj, Mata Sita and several dignitaries of ancient times are adorable? They are adorable not only due to their kingdoms but they were also fully indulged in spiritualism. One sided progress like that done by Alexander or most of the present ministers etc., cannot be compared to Sri Ram, Sri Krishna Maharaj, king Harishchandra etc. No doubt, the said dignitaries have served people but not to the extent as served by Sri Ram, Sri Krishna Maharaj, Dashrath, Harishchandra, Yudhishthir etc., in whose kingdom all the people were happy and fully protected by their king by providing them with food, shelter, clothing, justice, protection of women, protection from spreading of blind faith in public by false saints etc., and providing with full facilities of worship of God. In their kingdom atheists could only be counted on tips like that in the kingdom of Ram, etc.
Your love to Shiva since childhood indicates you to be God-fearing. However, all four Vedas, knowledge of which emanates from God, tell to worship only one formless, omnipresent Almighty God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe and to gain the knowledge of God one should also listen Vedas from a learned acharya or study holy literature based on Vedas.
Dreams are false, please. So don’t worry if you have seen snakes in dreams. Problems or pleasure are based on the result of previous lives’ deeds to be faced at present. 99.999% it is rumor spread by people about anyone carrying snake symbols on body. However, mother during pregnancy if is habitual to see the snake daily or frequently and she loves snakes etc., then it may remotely be possible to have the effect of her seeing the snake on the body of her baby. But nothing authentic has yet been heard, as yet in the world. Moles are due to skin problem and lack of pigments etc. Anger/being tense is also due to the effect of your previous lives’ sanskars which can and should be overcome by getting the spiritual knowledge. You are advised to follow the following preach please.
Shubh Karma
Hard working, devotion, dedication, honesty, services to the parents and elders to follow eternal religion mentioned in Vedas, practice of Ashtang Yoga, discharging moral duties to get progress in education, science simultaneously with spiritualism like, daily havan, to be in contact with the learned Acharya, to get his advice, are some of the pious deeds which make the future bright and obliterate the sorrows, problems, diseases, etc.
One must wake up early in the morning for early morning walk and exercises, must sit on meditation and chant holy name of God, must be away from any addiction and non-veg. Such pious actions lead to long, happy life and bright future.
J: I have read a lot about men celibacy (brahmacharya). I got well through it and its really wonderful and working. I have following information from my reading. Is it equally applicable to men and women? Along with this I want to know that why there is not much matter (Vedic) about women celibacy as much men’s have. Please refer book or your own guidelines for women celibacy. (I am a lover of
edic literature..have read .. samkhyadarshanam, yogadarshanam, vaisheshikdarshanam..– udayveer shasshtri and other books prooved by Swami Dayanand.) sorry for english grammatical errors.)

Yes, please. The celibacy is equally applicable to both men and women. In Vedas, there is lot of knowledge regarding celibacy for men, women, boys and girls. I would advise you to read my book named, Brahamcharya Dukh Nivarak Divya Manni in Hindi, worth Rs. 100/- excluding postal charges. The book contains immense knowledge regarding celibacy, applicable to men, women, boys, girls and is completely based on Vedas.
I appreciate that you have read shastras and especially you have read authentic comments on shastras. I will then further advice you to read Yog Shastra commented by me (in Hindi) in two parts which is also based on Vedic knowledge. A list of my other books which are also totally based on Vedic knowledge , is also on the site and can be sent on your demand , if you desire , on receipt of your postal address.

Swami Ram Swarup: The details regarding Traitwad has been given in my book, named “Vedanta and eternal Philosophy of Vedas (I &II)”, in English. However, in short, knowledge of Traitwad has been mentioned in Vedas, its meaning being that there are following three eternal matters in the universe:
(a) Almighty God – Who is alive and omnipresent
(b) Souls- alive matters but not omnipresent
(c) Prakriti- Which is non-alive matter and contains three qualities i.e., Raj, Tam and Satva gunnas , by which God creates non-alive universe comprising of Sun, Moon , atmosphere , all bodies of living beings, etc.
So, I would again advise you to please read my above quoted book for detailed knowledge regarding Traitwad and present Vedanta.
S: Tension due to problem in life.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. My dear daughter, S. The problem can never be solved while being tense. You should have courage. Never be demoralized. Otherwise, the problem shall be increased by you and not minimized. The qualities of women in the Vedas, have been mentioned comparing her with earth. You see, earth tolerates all the sufferings given to her by living beings. In return, earth gives crops, food water etc., and that is why, the earth is called motherland.
So, my daughter, do not worry and everything will be okay in near future. I have replied to your query. After reading the answer, please send me your problem again, if any. A book is also being printed named, Vedas- A divine light- III, in English, wherein duties of women have been written. The book shall be available within a week and shall be sent on receipt of your postal address, if you desire. A book written in Hindi, named- “Manav dharma Shiksha”, should also be studied by you which can also be sent to you along with said book.
Please, try to chant Gayatri Mantra both times, along with its meaning. The meaning of Gayatri mantra has also been placed on this website. If you will try to do hawan with Gayatri mantra, both times, then it will give you peace of mind. Because, in Gayatri mantra, we pray to God and God gives us blessings.
K G: I have a doubt, pl request you to clarify the same. I understood from your pravachan that doing shrardh for people who have already dead is against Vedas and I understood the logical explanation as well. However, in another Video, where we were remembering the brave people who had died for our nation, you mentioned that these people who gave freedom and saved our country are equivalent to our Pitra and aahutis were given in order to remember and make the souls of those people “THRUPT”. How can we give aahutis for those souls who had alreday departed from their body – This is my doubt? I’m not questioning you as I know infinite percent that you are always right as well you are everything for me, however as you know, my family, all my elders, including my parents strongly believe in all these shrardh, idol worship et., and if they tell me there are Ved mantra’s asking us to give aahutis to Pitru, then what answer I could tell them to clarify that it is wrong.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my son. Yes, the procedure to Shradh is totally against the Vedas. But, to do the Yajyen/hawan for the departed souls is beneficial. Now, the question arises, as to why? The answer is that to do such hawan/Yajyen is an order of Almighty God vide Atharvaveda mantra 11/1/19. But to do the shradh has not mentioned in Vedas. So, we have to follow Vedas, which is the order of Almighty and which always proves to be beneficial to us.

Swami Ram Swarup: Vedas are eternal and knowledge direct from God wherein such kaal sarp yog etc., are not mentioned, please. So you need not to worry. Please try to do havan daily even from gayatri mantra, which is a great worship of God and will give you benefit. The meaning of kaal is also time. So death comes according to time for which the God has given life to us. This is all based on our previous lives’ pious deeds and sins. So there is no effect of kaal sarp yog etc., in the life, but effect of deeds (karmas) only. So, one must do always pious deeds to be happy. Present pious deeds can burn our previous deeds also and life’s time can also be extended wide Yajurveda mantra 3/62.

Swami Ram Swarup: The meaning of the word “ Eekshann” is to see whereas Om is the best name of Almighty God in Vedas.
Surya Prakash Kapoor: What is the scientific meaning of 12th mantra of bhumisukta of Atharvaveda?
Swami Ram Swarup: In Atharvaveda mantra 12/3/12 , there is a prayer that Oh My motherland! Your justice and the beneficial pious deeds of the warriors and nutritious food is generated from your body (from motherland). Kindly, keep us amidst the said pious deeds make us pure. Then, it is stated that (Bhoomi mata) i.e., earth is my mother (like a mother since it gives food etc., to live upon) (AHAM PRITHIVYAHA PUTRAHA) I am her son to care and protect her. The clouds from where we get rain, are my father (like a father) so, may the clouds give us all benefits. The idea of the mantra is that we must adorn our motherland by performing holy Yajyen with Ved mantras, to cause timely rains which further lead to production of pure crops, vegetation, herbs, etc. In case, any enemy tries to capture our motherland, we must bravely fight and destroy even the destination of the enemies.
Sachin: Who are Panchkanyas in Hindu religion. Did Krishna praise them? Each one of them had more than one husband?
Swami Ram Swarup: I have not read in Mahabharat Epic (authentic) about Panchkanyas quoted by you. So, the story does not seem to be true. Yogeshwar Sri Krishna Maharaj could have been praising the learned men and women but not Panchkanya who had more than one husband. Yogeshwar Sri Krishna Maharaj was a philosopher of Vedas. How could he praise the kanya (girl) who had more than one husband. This being totally against the Vedas and hence a grave sin.
