Anonymous: My mother has lost her cool and has become abusive towards all of us. My father has lost his faith. He used to be very devoted towards Hanumanji but he has lost his faith on God.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you all, my daughter. Really, it is a troublesome matter for you and I am also worried to read all about your mother. Still you see all this happens due to previous lives’ deeds. So, in the matter of faith we have to solve all the problems with knowledge and not with worried mind or in sorrowful condition. We should also not worry about neighbours or others that what would they think, since everybody should be away from praise and criticism. Then we may be able to solve the problem with peace of mind. We should also never be angry with mother and should solve the matter always with peace of mind and knowledge because she is facing the result of her past deeds and with all love we must try to remove the effect of her deeds.

Anonymous: Swami Ji, Thanks for your practical and logical response. Need your perspective on the following challenges that I am facing. I have been very blessed by god thus far, however, I am taking a State board exam, which I took last friday and I did not perform very well. I analyzed why and it seems to me that it was two reasons. I got very nervous and also, was not thinking correctly to solve problems. I will work hard to control this 2 things, However, wanted find out if god plays any role in this type of situation. I have been working hard for the exam. If I dont pass, how do I figure out if it is my fault or is it due to my previous karma or something else ? Thank you very much.God bless.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. You are welcome, please. Karmas theory is this that previous lives’ bad deeds/sins are destroyed by doing present pious deeds. So, if you have been studying hard with full concentration and devotion then sure you will pass your examination. Only, laziness towards study, not to do daily hard study or practice in writing of chapters, and not learning the chapters daily etc., etc., destroy the future of a student. Student means his is only to study hard with full concentration and to take care of his health. So, please do the needful and go ahead. However, my article on karma’s theory is also pasted below-

Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. Really, God is pleased with your pious deeds of performing havan and to practice yoga philosophy. In havan samigri, sugar is not mixed please. Separately, gur, shakkar (jaggery) or honey is offered once. Yes, guggal, dal maah, jaw (barley) if possible, then dry fruits should also be added in daily havan samigri. Vaastu is not mentioned in Vedas. Havan purifies every atom of every matter. So, location of bathroom does not affect shop. In addition, special spiritual benefit is also obtained by doing havan with all these materials mixed in samigri.

Lalit: Swamiji which is one best karma. If we can do only one than which among these --- meditation on OM, gayatri mantra, havan , brahmacharya, serving a learned yogi is the best. I understand that all these are a part of a whole and should be practised collectively. But which of these is the most important that would benefit us in this life as well as the future. Please reply.
Swami Ramswarup: Actually, the best karma (deed) is to perform daily yajyen/havan. In yajyen, Brahma is seated and preaches Veda mantras with detailed comments and the listener also becomes learned. You see, when aspirant listens to Vedas, then only he becomes able to learn and do meditation on Om, Gayatri mantra, maintaining Brahmacharya, havan, serving learned Yogi. So, best karma is Yajyen. Article concerning the meaning of Yajyen is pasted below-
Actually, there are three meaning of Yajyen- to serve mother, father, atithi, acharya and Almighty God ; second is Sangatikaran i.e., to serve and satisfy an acharya, who is learned of Vedas and yoga philosophy to learn spiritualism from him in turn and third is daan i.e., donation. So, one should try to perform yajyen daily otherwise daily havan should not be discontinued and the yajyen, wherein the presence of Brahma i.e., learned of four Vedas is required, should be done timely.

Anonymous: Swamiji Namaste I do mediatation daily but when I get problems I loose faith in GOD, so then I started taking Alcohol assuming as it is I have to suffer and die then why not to enjoy and die. Is God really going to help me and when?
Swami Ramswarup: Namaste. The meaning of faith in Hindi as well as in Sanskrit is to accept the eternal and everlasting matter. Ashtang Yoga philosophy in which Yam, Niyam, asan, prannayam, pratyahaar, dharnna, dhyan, Samadhi are included, emanates from the eternal knowledge of the Vedas. You know, Vedas knowledge emanates direct from God and is originated in the heart of four Rishis.
So every devotee did practice of ashtang Yoga Philosophy faithfully and selflessly. Selflessly means that the devotee did not bother about any obstacle while practicing Yoga Philosophy. Instead they tried to remove the obstacle and they won with the grace of God. In your case, my dear son you’ve not still known the true path of Ashtang Yoga Philosophy. Otherwise question of loosing faith in God could not arise and such unfaithfulness is even a great sin because due to our laziness, lack of concentration, lack of firm decision to follow true path, we discontinue our worship/path and baselessly we blame the God which is a sin. So, please be brave and get victory in your life.

Sagar Mohammed: I happened to read your dialogue with a brother regarding the topic, Is prophet Mohammed (pbuh) mentioned in Vedas? There you admit that you accept prophet's teachings but not with the label of being Muslim. Sir how can you at the same time accept his teachings and be against it? If you accept it then you are required to follow it. And when you follow it you will become a Muslim. Not every one who has born in a Muslim family is actually a Muslim because they don't really practice but simply accept. Also if you accept his teachings then you have to accept what he has told. He has taught that there have been many many (1,24,000) prophets before him and some of them were given books. The book of christian brothers is one of them (as mentioned in Quran). Vedas may also be among them. He further says that all these books were later on get distorted due to human interventions and that unlike them Quran will be preserved by Almighty. And so if Vedas were from God (we do not know whether it actually is) then by now it will have some mistakes due to human actions. It doesn't mean that it does not contain any good. At the same time all the good things in it are incorporated in Quran and ways to implement them are mentioned. So why can't you accept Islam if you accept prophet Mohammed (pbuh)?

H: What to do if someone's marriage ceremony has already been performed during the pitr paksha period, without knowing it was forbidden? Can something be done now to correct the effects of this mistake?
Swami Ramswarup: Pitra paksh period made by men does not exist in Vedas, shastras, upnishads, Bhagwad Geeta etc. Learned do not accept it. It does not effect the human life by any means, being against the Vedas. In Vedas, it is stated that every day, week, time/mahurat has been made by God for our benefit so any pious deed like marriage etc., can be performed any day and time which suits us. So, you need not to worry, please. I would advise you to study two of my books- Vedas Divine Light-I and II (in English) worth Rs. 80/ and Rs. 121/-, excluding postal charges. These books clarify several doubts/present blind faiths. The book can be sent on receipt of your postal address, if you desire.
Aditya: Pranam Maharaj ji. I want to know that the third eye of a Baba, which I have seen on Aastha. It always says Kripa Barsegi and most of the people are satisfied. What is the logic behind it? Scientifically what is that? I know that it is possible only by Yajyen.

Anonymous: Swami Ji Pranam, Swami ji I want to take one decision about my marriage that I want to marry a blind person. I received his profile through a matrimonial site. He is well-settled. I have taught blind people before and I feel attached to them.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. It is said that society makes a man perfect. I mean to say, you have been teaching the blind persons so the society of blind persons has created emotions within you for them and hence your idea of marriage to a blind person is originated. This is not enough to live a long, happy life. If actually your love is not based on physical charm, but is based on soul to soul then your marriage to a blind person can only be successful otherwise not. In the married life several homework’s/duties are to be performed in which a blind person would not be able to discharge the same and ultimately if you at present think that the family duties of you and your husband would be discharged by you happily then your views to marry a blind person can be successful, otherwise not. In the society, someone can also make spending fun of such marriage and if happily you can bear the same then your family life will be happy otherwise not.

Anonymous: Pranam Swamiji, Thanks for replying to all my previous questions. We have been a typical, traditional Hindu family, worshiping idols for so many years. But Since I have got knowledge from You, I have changed a lot, started praying the only formless God & stopped wrong worshiping. But my parents & wife are not happy with this change & still wants to stick to the traditions. We have been worshiping Ganesh Idol for last 8 years, but this year I want to stop it but I am not being able to convince this to them. Swamiji , Please guide me, how should I convince them? They feel that, if we stop the tradition Lord Ganesh will curse them.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you.
