Thilak: Namaste Swamiji. I came across one debate between Non-Vegetarians and Vegetarians in a TV channel where Vegetarians couldn't answer to the questions posed by Non-Vegetarians. I am highlighting the points below requesting you to clarify Point1: In Manu Smruti, the law book of Hindus, in chapter 5 verse 30 - The eater who eats the flesh of those to be eaten does nothing bad, even if he does it day after day, for God himself created some to be eaten and some to be eater. c. Again next verse of Manu Smruti, that is, chapter 5 verse 31 says Eating meat is right for the sacrifice, this is traditionally known as a rule of the God d. Further in Manu Smruti chapter 5 verse 39 and 40 says God himself created sacrificial animals for sacrifice, therefore killing in a sacrifice is not killing. Mahabharata Anushashan Parva chapter 88 narrates the discussion between Dharmaraj Yudhishthira and Pitamah Bhishma about what food one should offer to Pitris (ancestors) during the Shraddha (ceremony of dead) to keep them satisfied. Paragraph reads as With sesame seeds and rice and barely and Masha and water and roots and fruits, if given at Shraddhas, the pitris, remain gratified for the period of a month. With fishes offered at Shraddhas, the pitris remain gratified for a period of two months.

Siddhart: Pranam guru ji, My question is ,we are sometimes told that if a lie saves someone then that lie is better than 100 truths. Is this statement true? if yes in what conditions? thank you guru ji.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. Yes, we must always help the others which is a pious deed and God awards for the same. But to tell lies or truth is second matter which is not concerned with act of kindness/benevolence and therefore God awards punishment to liar and happiness to one who speaks the truth. So, the saying told by you is against the eternal Vedic philosophy.

R B: Why are hindrances coming to my postings?
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. posting from one seat to other seat/place is an administrative matter, please. One thing is clear that if we have to earn money by doing job/services, look after our family/ourselves then we will have to obey the boss yet everybody wants facilities according to his situation for which you must try your level best in the matter.

R: Namaste. May I know what is my future in my Marriage & love & jobs.

S: Pranam guruji,I have a query that if someone is rude to us so what should be our reaction and also how I can control my anger and be soft-spoken? I want to inculcate patience ,but I am not able to do so. Please Help Me.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. It is very clear that you as well as all learned persons dislike rude behaviour. In return of rudeness we will be angry and would reply in the same way then it will not look nice. In each situation, you will have to think whether it was your fault that other person became rude. Then you should listen with patience and try to remove your error. If it was not your fault, then also you should listen to rude words peacefully but in no case you must yourself become rude.

When you will think justly then you would not be angry or lose patience. Simultaneously you should go on with your practice of name jaap and regular hawan, etc.

Everybody should avoid the ravages of hatred. You will seriously take firm decision in the matter to follow the Vedic advice. This is mind of human being which always tries to indulge us within illusion. As a result, we become worried or get indulged in problems. So with firm decision and daily worship you will have to control your intellect and mind.

Dadi Amma: I am sorry but this article of yours clarifies about caste system. I am not clear in my mind as to what does it mean by dristivad or sristivad. hari om. dadiamma
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. Drishti Sriahtivad that from worldly eyes we determine a person as Brahmin by birth and shrishti drishtivad means in srishtikrram , i.e., in process of creation the shriti drishtivad is not authentic as is also intimate to you earlier vide Yajurveda mantra 31/11. Because in the eternal knowledge of Vedas which emanates direct from God i.e., srishti drishtivad, a person is determined Brahmin based on his divine qualities which are gained by him by studying Vedas and doing hard practice of Ashtang Yoga philosophy under guidance of learned acharya of Vedas. however, I may tell you that I have not read these words drishti srishtivad and shrishti drishtivad because such words are not mentioned in Vedas, shastras, Upnishads, Valmiki Ramayan, Bhagwad Geeta, Mahabharat etc. I would therefore request you to clarify the meaning of said terms.

Anonymous: What is vyabhichar yoga in male & female kundali? Is it necessary to study this while match making?
Swami Ramswarup: The word “Vyabhichar” itself is hateful/sinful, its meaning being following an improper or sinful course. Secondly, in Vedas, there is no mention of Kundali etc. So, being against the Vedas, such Vyabhichar Yoga etc., is totally false. Learned never accept it.

K D Gupta: Swamiji pranam This is the fact that which is inevitable , that will happen and no doubt Parmatma does it . Gita says it is done by prakrati. What do Vedas say? Please quote?
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. ‘Inevitable’ word is not considered fit in Vedas because Yajya Karma and practice of Ashtang Yoga Philosophy change the destiny even. The said practice destroys all the previous lives’ deeds when the devotee attains Dharma Megh Samadhi.

Yajurveda mantra 7/48 states that human being is free to do deeds, pious or sinful deeds, but result is awarded by Almighty God in the shape of pleasure and sorrows respectively.

Harish: Can you tell me the names of yoga asan which are beneficial for maintaining the celibacy?
Swami Ramswarup: All asans help to maintain celibacy/brahamcharya especially brahamcharya asan is there which helps more. But only asans will do nothing until after doing asans, a devotee does practice of Ashtang Yoga i.e., Yam, Niyam, Asan, Prannayam, Pratyahaar, Dharnna, Dhyan, Samadhi. But, I’ll like to add further that asan and Ashtang Yoga Philosophy can also not be continued or be fruitful until person makes contact with learned acharya of Vedas and Yoga Philosophy, to listen to Vedic preach on brahamcharya and to know moral duties towards family etc. so, the above religious path is adopted only by that aspirant who first makes his mind firm to maintain brahamcharya then he practices the above said path.

Basant: Please tell me what should be the age(KAAL,date) of Maharshi patanjali, Kanaad and gautam. Indologists dates patanjali sometimes between 200 B.C. To 200 A.D. . Maharshi kanaad is dated 6th century B.c. Maharshi gautam is also dated very badly. I want to know your view.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. Mostly shastras were written about six thousand years ago. Exact date of birth of Rishis who wrote six shastras is not known, please.

Anonymous: Pranaam swamiji last time when i asked question about upanishads you answered that learned Vedic scholar accepts only 11 upanishads. What it meant by this? Maharshi Dayaanand was not a Vedic scholar?.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. I can never ever think that Swami Dayanand Saraswatiji was not a Vedic scholar. He was a great scholar of Vedas. I’m sorry how you thought me to think against Rishi Dayanand.

As regards Upnishads, it is said that there are 108 upnishads but learned of Vedas do not accept it. I’ve read only 11 upnishads i.e.,

1. Eeshopnishad
2. Kenopnishad
3. Mundakopnishad
4. Mandukyopnishad
5. Kathopnishad
6. Prashnopnishad
7. Eiteryopnishad
8. Taitiriyopnishad
9. Chchandogyopnishad
10. Brihadarannyakopnishad
11. Shwetashvaropnishad

AW: Pranam Guruji , I have been introduced to the Veda Philosophy by one of my close friend and a strong disciple of the truth of the Vedas. My mental education so far inclines me towards monetary gains through business to generate abundant wealth to help infants and poor children around the globe with facilities like food and education. I get really thrilled by the though and would gain immense satisfaction through such action. My question is how do I transpose OR would I be able to transpose the power of the Vedas into modern Business to reach new heights of success. I have learned so far the power of subconscious mind is the ultimate doer of fruitful actions. I felt awakened when I met my friend and understood a bit about the power of Hawan and Jaap . I would incorporate it in my life with immediate effect. Further more the ideology of selflessness is in me and I would like to give it a go through real world business best and prove the world how Vedas can empower and facilitate the business growth? Please suggest a course of action.

GP: Pranam Swamiji, Could you please illustrate the meaning of the shloka no (4.5.4)from Rigveda Regards Gopal Popati
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. Rigveda mantra 4/5/4 is as under –
“PRA TAAN AGNIRBABHASTIIGMAJAMBHASTAPISHTHAN SHOCHISHA YAHA SURADHAHA,

PRA YE MINANTI VARUNSYA DHAAM PRIYA MITRASYA CHETATO DHRUVANNI.”

Meaning :-

(Yah) the (Agnihi Tigmajambhaha) the fire makes the matter dull i.e., the burning fire burns all the matter (YEH) Similarly, those persons like the fire (TAPISHTHEIN SHOCHISHA) with acute power and strength (SURADHA) having the best wealth (CHETATAHA) dignitaries who awaken us, those (VARUNASYA MITRASYA ) like the best friends (PRIYA) beautiful (DHRUVANNI)firm (DHAAM) birth place (PRA MINANTI) destroys (TAAN PRABABHASAT) people, who ignores and destroys them i.e., such people are only able to make others happy.

Idea- Idea of the mantra is fire burns all the matters put in it, similarly the person who destroys such selfish persons who are only after the destruction of happiness of other people, he deserves to be praised.

Malti: Is it true that man made from panchbhoot can never be parmatma as ageing, disease & death occurs only to all spiritual souls only. We never read ever that Raam Krishna Shiva were ever old in their bodies hence they were truely God. Where as so many sadgurus who have taken birth are indeed very high souls with their sidhis who have come for the uplift of humanity. Gurur bhramma...is all fine till complete awakening has not happened to the body as the guru does helps to uplift us. Please explain.
Swami Ramswarup: The body of the human being is made of panchbhoot i.e., Agni, Vayu, Jal, Akash, Prithivi. In the human body, which is non-alive matter, two alive matters reside. First is Almighty God Who is Omnipresent and second matter is soul. Due to the presence of soul in the body, it works like to see, to smell, to hear, to walk etc., etc. when soul goes out, the body becomes dead, which actually is already dead, being non-alive matter.

Yajurveda mantra 7/48 states that human being is free to do deeds, pious or sinful deeds, but result is awarded by Almighty God in the shape of pleasure and sorrows respectively.

In this connection, Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2 also state that we’ve been blessed with human body by God to face the result of previous lives’ pious and sinful deeds. but next mantra states that if we make contact with learned acharya of Vedas and Yoga Philosophy and under his guidance worship God daily, then deeds are destroyed. In this connection, Tulsikrit Ramayan also states –

“Yog Agni Prakat Kari,

Karam Subha Subha lai”.

i.e., when the result of the said worship is achieved then the divine Yoga agni is generated in the body of a devotee and resulting in burning of pious as well as impious deeds.
