I’m sorry my daughter that I do not deal with janam kundalis, palmstry, astrology etc. Actually, such matters do not exist in Vedas, shastras, Upnishads, Geeta etc and learned of Vedas therefore do not accept it. You may contact any pandit in Mandir for the same, please.

N: We have continuous problems in our house. Everyone says there is Pitr dosh. One of the pitar wants to come to our house but there is some bandhan. Kindly let us know what can we do to resolve this problem.
Swami Ramswarup: Pitra dosh, Mangal dosh, kaal sarp Yoga present astrology etc., do not exist in Vedas so learned of Vedas do not accept the same. I would advise you not to worry from Pitra dosh because a soul who has left his body behind to be burnt on pyre, takes next birth within 13-14 days. During the time of 13-14 days, soul remains unconscious (sushupt) so how would soul came back again. In Vedas meaning of Pitr is parent as well as alive learned acharya of Vedas and Yoga philosophy. Vedas inspire to serve parent and acharya to gain Vedic knowledge.

Aniket: Maharaj ji i want to ask you that every one says God made every thing but who made God?
Swami Ramswarup: Vedas tell that God is Swayambhu.

God is ‘Swayambhu’

Yajurveda mantra 2/26 states that God is 'Swayambhu'. Swayambhu means that which is not made by anybody and from whom nothing is made. He is eternal. So God is not created by anybody and nothing is created from God. God has no mother, father etc., but actually God creates, nurses and destroys the universe therefore He is our true father/mother. He looks after us properly. This is a law that if a matter is made then sure it will be destroyed one day. However, God being eternal is never destroyed.

Shashank: Swamiji pranam. Please correct my belief that A)Different mantras are for diff.devatas. For this kaliyug its said that'kalao chandi vinayakao-means in kaliyug only devotion to Lord Ganesha & Godess Adimaya is most powerful. The devotion to other Gods like Vishnu, Shiva is not that of immediate effect in terms results & time frame. Are these things mentioned in Vedas?
B)Is Gayatri mantra is beej mantra? Does the regular chanting of this mantra will awake kundalini shakti.
If so will person can retain the achivement of kundalini shakti after rebirth in next birth.

Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. I would advice you to take medical opinion in this connection, at the earliest. The God has blessed us with human-body to face the result of our previous lives’ deeds- pious deeds as well as sins. But, Rigveda mantra 10/135/3 and 4 state that Vedic worship kills the sins and then our pious desires are fulfilled by God. In your case, however only five years have lapsed which is not a big time. So, please, do not worry and you should immediately start havan with gayatri mantra daily. Also, I paste my article in this regard-

How to do havan

Please sit in the morning to perform havan. Havan must be in sunlight then it is more beneficial. Then half a bowl of fresh water with a tablespoon must be with you with small twigs especially of mango tree if possible, havan samagri, ghee, camphor and match box must be there with you. Please sit on sukh asan on four times folded blanket and blanket must be on mat.

Sukh asan i.e., sit on duly folded feet in comfortable position. Then first close your eyes and concentrate between two eyebrows and chant Gaytri mantra three times within heart and not by mouth. Then open your eyes.

J: I father died three years back. I am only daughter, am married and was very close to him. After his death, the perspective of life and death has hit me very hard. He would come into my dreams every other day. My Mom has never had a single dream of him and neither has any one in our family. It is only me that gets dreams of him. After about 3 months, I went in a quite place and assured him, where ever he was, that he can move on and I am all grown up to take care of myself. His dreams stopped. But if any day, I remembered him with all my heart, he would come in my dream again. What does this mean and what are the messages of dreams?

Lizard is a poisonous living being when such harmful living being like snake, scorpion, mosquito, fly etc., are found in the residence or locality of human-being, Vedas allow them to be killed so that most valuable life of human-being can be saved. So, your action is not sinful at all.

Prakash: Namaste Jee, Can you please advise the impacts of full moon on human beings? I have not read anything in Vedas about the full moon and it's effect on human beings? Medical science say and have proved that full moon do affect people who have mental dis-orders. Kindly please explain. Many thanks.
Swami Ramswarup: Namaste. Almighty God has created several matters of the universe for the benefit of the human beings. For example Snake is dangerous to life, if bites, on the other hand it is useful to human-beings because it eats away the mice, its poison is most beneficial to cure the diseases etc. Thus saves precious lives. But as regards, moon which is never harmful but is always beneficial to human beings. Its several benefits are stated in Atharvaveda. The rays of full moon are beneficial for eyes. They are causative factor for creating tides. The crops when receive rays of moon, they become juicy otherwise no crop, vegetables etc., could become green and juicy and would rather be hard like stone.

Yes, it may be possible that moon affects people with mental disorders but it is not mentioned in Vedas because first to become mad, is not a reason related to moon.

Varun: Pradam Swamiji, How can existance of soul be proved, one of the common arguments given in favour of soul is that the moment soul leaves body, the body stops smelling and starts smelling, well that can be because the body does not get nourishment thats why it behaves so. In case of brain dead people and people under life support the body function though consiousness is not there.

First of all, the eternal philosophy of Vedas proves that soul is eternal. Thereafter, all shastras, Upnishads and ancient holy granths also say that soul is eternal. In this connection, my article is also appended bellow.

Parul: Dear Guruji How to learn the four Vedas, please guide.
Swami Ramswarup: In this regard also, I paste my relevant answer-
Vedas tell several divine qualities of Guru. First of all he must be the learned of Vedas and Ashtang yoga philosophy. He must have control over his five senses, perceptions and mind. Guru means he who preaches but as far as spiritualism is concerned, there remains only one guru but still preaches or good talk can be heard and collected from anywhere, if it is based on Vedic knowledge. You see, Sri Ram had one guru named Guru Vasishth. But he listened to preach of Rishi Vishwamitra, Agastya Rishi and others as well. So, in spiritualism there remains only one guru from whom disciple takes deeksha and is called dwij.

N: Dear Swamiji, We are about to have our first child soon, i want to know what is the correct way to perform the Jatakarma samskara at birth. Swami Ramswarup: In this connection, I would advise you to contact a local arya samaj purohit who would perform the Jaatkarma sanskar, please. Procedure of such sanskar is lengthy and cannot be explained here. Being away, I also cannot come there. It is performed after cutting the umbilical cord.

N: Pranam swamiji meera kabir nanak chaitanya mahaprabhu ramkrishna were among the pillars of spiritual heritage we are following today and as far as we know they did not involved in any yajya or sandhya vidhan mostly as far as we know and they realised god in their respected life. so they can be called devotee of god or not. most of them advocated nam jap instead of karmakanda. I am confused what is the ultimate way and i think that on whichever way you walk with devotion you can feel that super power. waiting for your respected views.
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. All saints like Shri Guru Nanak Dev sahib have praised Vedas. It means they knew about the eternal truth of Vedic philosophy. For example- Guru Nanak Dev sahib has written in Shri Guru granth sahib, “Ved omkar nirmaye” i.e., Vedas emanates direct from God. Again he has mentioned –

“Ved path paapan mati layee” i.e., listening/studying of Vedas destroys sins i.e., why, Guru Nanak Dev sahib preached for the worship of only one Almighty, Formless God who creates, nurses and destroys the universe. Guru Nanak Dev sahib always tried to destroy the man made false customs, blind faith and idol worship etc. Similarly, the other saints did.

Nand Kishore: What is meaning of word "Karm"? How it is different from "Kriyaa"? Whether "Nishkaam Karm" is related with action (as mentioned in Gita)? Whether "Nishkaam Kriyaa" is more suitable than "Nishkaam Karm" in said reference? If not, why?
Swami Ramswarup: Karma means to do some deeds like eating, laughing, cooking, do Yajyen, agnihotra, study holy books and other books, meditate, do worship, commit sins etc. So, karma may be called kriya (verb). But Vedas preach to always do pious deeds in accordance with Vedas’ philosophy because Almighty God who is everywhere, sees all our good and bad deeds and He awards the result thereof in the shape of happiness and sorrows respectively. Three types of Deeds

There are three types of deeds (karmas) - sanchit, prarabhadh and kriyamann. Suppose one soul has to take birth (body). It means he has to face total number of deeds of his all previous lives and these deeds are called sanchit karmas but sanchit deeds are huge/unlimited and cannot be faced in one life. So the karmas which can be faced in one life are called prarabhadh (luck-destiny). So God has not made our luck at His own but Almighty God has taken the deeds which we have already done.

Bupinder: Acharya ji. I have following queries: 1) Which mantra of Vedas tells us not to worship idols an is it a sin. 2) Which mantra in Vedas tells us that eating non-vegetarian is a sin?
Swami Ramswarup: (1) several mantras of Vedas tell not to worship idol like Yajurveda mantra 32/3 wherein it is stated – “Na Tasya Pratima Asti” i.e., God has no shape. And He cannot be measured. In this connection, I also paste my article below:-

Idol worship

Idol worship is due to the fact that mostly the saints have not studied Vedas. So naturally, they will not preach the eternal knowledge of Vedas to the public. Secondly, people are already innocent about the knowledge of Vedas. Thirdly, for the last about two-thousand years, the idol worship has been preached by those saints who are not aware of the knowledge of Vedas. So either the man-made worship or the God-made worship will be followed by the people. God made worship is briefed in Vedas and man-made worship has been mentioned in other granths.

Varun: Pradam Swamiji, Another question related to previous question, biology states cell is smallest unit of life, does cell have a soul? does the above assertion is in lines with holy Vedas?
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. Cell is made of Prakriti and thus does not have soul. Soul resides in three places of body only-

Soul has three places to reside in the human body. While awake, it remains in left eye. During dreams, in throat and while taking sound sleep, soul resides in heart, please. These stages have been named- Jagrat, Swapan and Sushupt respectively.

Cell functions only in presence of alive soul, the system made of Almighty God. For example- in the night, no matter is seen in a room but when light is switched on, the matters become visible. No doubt, light and maters are non-alive but due to the system of Almighty God that eyes will work in the presence of soul and in the presence of light. That is why, in the presence of light, matters are seen by eyes.
