P: Swamiji Namaste, Thank you for your reply to my questions regarding the position of women regarding lighting of funeral pyre and other things. The reason why I had asked whether women can help parents if necessary is because it comes back to the same thing that we don't want daughters because we cant seek any help from them. i.e we will die/suffer but we will not ask help. I speak of help/concern only to the extent of one human to another, without forgetting one's duty. Swamiji, I understand that many women are going to another extreme by ill treating their in-laws, husband etc. I certainly do not advocate such things. I only believe in helping from the humanist point of view only to the extent humanly possible. It is the living being that is important. Swami Ramswarup: Please awake early in the morning and go for a morning walk and light exercises. Take plenty of boiled water daily. Water should be cooled after boiling.

Shubh Karma
Hard working, devotion, dedication, honesty, services to the parents and elders to follow eternal religion mentioned in Vedas, practice of Ashtang Yoga, discharging moral duties to get progress in education, science simultaneously with spiritualism like, daily havan, to be in contact with the learned Acharya, to get his advice, are some of the pious deeds which make the future bright and obliterate the sorrows, problems, diseases, etc. One must wake up early in the morning for early morning walk and exercises, must sit on meditation and chant holy name of God, must be away from any addiction and non-vegetarian. Such pious actions lead to long, happy life and bright future.

Sagar: What does "Atharva Veda 5:17:8-9" say?
Swami Ramswarup: Atharvaveda mantra 5/17/8:
“UT YATPATYO DASH ISTRIYAAHA POORVE ABRAHAMANNAHA.
BRAHMA CHEDDHSTAMGRAHEETAS EV PATIREKDHA”
(UT) If (YAT POORVE) already (DASH) ten (ABRAHAMANNAHA) ignorant (PATYAHA) protectors of (ISTRIYAHA) voice of God i.e., Vedas are there,

Meaning:-
If already ten ignorant protectors of voice of God i.e., Vedas are there. Idea being, if ten persons respect only the Vedas and they in the present times also purchase the four Vedas and keep in house but they do not study the Vedas it means, they can’t protect the Vedas. On the other hand (CHET) if (BRAHMA) the learned person of four Vedas (HASTAMAGRAHEET) holds the hand of Vedas i.e., (SAH EV) he is only (EKDHA) distinctly (PATI) the protector of Vedas.

Idea:-
The real learned person of Vedvanni can only protect the Vedas.

Please, start the day by chanting Gayatri mantra in the early morning sitting on suitable asan like Sukhasan, Siddhasan or Padmasan etc. concentrate on the point between two eyebrows which is called “Agyachakra”. The Gayatri mantra should be chanted along with its meaning both times. Also, please try to perform daily hawan even with Gayatri mantra. Then try to study any of my books daily and put up question if any.

Yet, according to the chronology of creation as per the Aitrayopanishad, God created cow ( Gow ) in the first instance; then the horse (Ashav) and He created man (Manav-sharir) in the third place. Yet, again, according to an old story relating to Maharishi Chawan, the value of a cow is immense and cannot be accounted for. Now we know that after death, the soul (Atman) are allotted Yoni, Ayu and Bhog in their next incarnation according to their Karmas( good or bad). Considering the value and importance of the (GO-dhan), if an Atman gets Pashu-yoni (as a cow) in the next birth, is it a promotion or a demotion for the Jeeva? Please elucidate. Dhanyawad. Lalit: Swamiji you say that it was sheer bad luck because of Mahabharta war that people went into depression and they did not continue practising activities as told by Almighty, is this not a very simplistic explanation of the resultant illusion that has gripped the world. If people who were so pious at that time could go in depression and forget their duties than how can we expect this generation to follow the right path when there are so many problems and injustice?
Swami Ramswarup: Not the people but only the old mothers, sisters, young ladies, aged forefathers and children who were neither allowed to participate in war at that time nor any warrior could hit them. So our forefathers due to indulgence in illusion/ignorance, attachment become sorrowful due to which they did not think to continue the eternal Yajyen, study and practice of Ashtang yoga philosophy to be away from the illusion which has destroyed the coming generation till date. Yes, my dear son, the said step has gripped the world and thus ruined us from roots. The arrogant who have made their own path are not ready to leave the self-made path against the Vedas because mostly the paths have become professional as already stated by Tulsi in his chowpayee:

Amit Bajaj: Pranaam swamiji, I am very grateful for your answers & clearing my doubts about varna system. I want to ask one more question, if varna system present at the time of Ramayana or is there any mention of varna system in Valmiki Ramayana?
Swami Ramswarup: My blessings to you. Thanking you, please. Such examples are not seen because the duties were being discharged satisfactorily by the human beings of Brahmin, kshatriya, Vaishya and shudra varnna. (Based on Karmas’ Philosophy)

There was no system of writing caste at the end of name. Mostly the word arya, for whole mankind was used. However, at the time of certain function, it was told that respected , Brahmin, Rishi-muni should be invited to perform yajyen and at the time of war or showing bravery in any function, the brave Kshatriya were inspired by being told that they were kshatriyas and to show their power, as was being shown by their forefathers.

Lalit: In your translation of gayatri mantra in english it says that "totally free from all the sorrows" but in Hindi one of your books says and its meaning is "one who destroys all the sorrows". Which is correct?

Harvey: Swamiji, can you tell me what is the appropriate age for a new born baby boy to have Mundan ie Shave the head hair? I heard we do mundan in 6 weeks but I would like to know what Vedas or other scriptures say or what's the right reason/time to do Mundan? Thank You.
Swami Ramswarup: Mundan’s age is after completion of second year i.e., three plus. At this stage, the two cerebral hemispheres get attached and skull becomes strong to bear small strokes etc. At this stage, teething process begins and the child faces heat within body and in head. So, this is appropriate time to do the function of mundan ceremony.

Md. Mahmud Miah: What steps are being taken to protect endangered animals in India?
Swami Ramswarup: It is the duty of forest department under government of India to take adequate steps to protect endangered animals in India. On the basis of newspaper reporting, I can very well state that serious steps are not been taken and public is suffering a lot.

R: I want my husband to get transfer to the place I am staying. Can I recite any shaloka?
Swami Ramswarup: At an appropriate time, God helps and good desires are fulfilled. So, please do agnihotra daily and pray to God to fulfill your desire. If agnihotra is not possible then first start praying to God, both times.

P: Firstly I have been reading different articles on the net and in the process saw the Questions and Answers on the vedmandir.com site where different topics have been covered. From what I read, I understood some Vedic aspects and some I still have to understand. My interest is the problems faced by women and therefore I would be very thankful if you clear my doubts. Guruji, you have said that as per Vedas both men and women are equal, as it is the soul which is important and which has no gender.

Bharti: I really have interest to study Vedas. I very much believe in them. Because initially when there were fewer people i know they followed Vedas. As all the rights performed even marriages performed are done still in the same fashion. I have met many gurus but very impressed by your website. I want to know what happens when one is enlightened? I read about you and other gurus they got enlightened on so and so date.

There is no ear pain or hearing problem he is feeling except tinnitus.
