Samarpita: After doing udajapana of my Santoshi maa vrat, from 5 yrs I am continuing the dietary restriction.But on this friday I broke it by eating non-veg knowing1, as I could not resist the temptation. How to rectify my mistake? Please suggest.
Swami Ram Swarup: First of all, I would like to mention here that devi-devta’s worship do not exist in Vedas. Vedas, the eternal knowledge which emanates direct from God at the time of every creation. So, the devi-devta’s worship or idol worship or avtarwaad being against the Vedas. Vedas tell only to worship one Formless, omnipresent, Almighty God who creates the universe, nurses and destroys the universe.
However, who do not accept the vedic path, they may go ahead at their own accord. To rectify your mistake it should not be repeated.
Anonymous: Is Narad Bhakti Sutras authentic aarsh text? Brihaspati sutra – a ancient text on political science edited by Bhgavad datta of Arya Samaj is true aarsh text or not?
Swami Ram Swarup: Narad sutra is not mentioned in Vedas. The learned of Vedas do not consider it as authentic. Though, I have not studied Brihaspati sutra but I think it may be true.
Anonymous: Ek pandit ne mujhe bola ke “tumhara rishta uske saath pichle janam se hai. pichle janam ka dosh is janam mein aage aa raha hai to mangalsutra aur nag nagin sone ke paani mein virsarjan karne hoge. Agar chati pe til hai toh aur zada dosh” Can this be true?
Swami Ram Swarup: Peechle janam kee baatein prithvi par koi bhi nahi janta. Han! Kewal Patanjali Yog Darshan sutra 4/29,30,31 ke anusaar Samadhi prapt Brahmleen Yogi hee janta hai. Isliye aap jhoothi baton mein na fanse. Vedon mein teva, magaleek, vartamaan kee jyotish or kaal sarp yog, vaastukala ityaadi matter nahi hai. Isliye vedon ke virudh hone ke karann vidwanjan inko nahi maantey. Fir bhi aap maantey hain toh khud ke vichaar ke anusaar maantey rahein.
