M. K.: I am a student. My memory has become weak and my health is not proper.

M. K.: I am a student. My memory has become weak and my health is not proper.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. For a student, shastras state that he/she must concentrate on studies and health. Bad thoughts/society must always be driven away. Student must never think about any comfort but studies. Comforts include seeing movies, serials of TVs etc., spending fun, roaming about in market etc. Such matters should be totally ignored. Your parents must get you checked up medically and when the reason of sickness is investigated then carefully the medicine must be taken to kill the disease. You must get up early in the morning for long, morning walk and light exercises as well. If possible, then your parents must arrange any learned teacher to teach you asan, prannayam and meditation which will increase your memory. Whatever, you learn you must write it again and again then you will never forget. I also paste my article in this regard.

Shubh Karma
Hard working, devotion, dedication, honesty, services to the parents and elders to follow eternal religion mentioned in Vedas, practice of Ashtang Yoga, discharging moral duties to get progress in education, science simultaneousrly with spiritualism like, daily havan, to be in contact with the learned Acharya, to get his advice, are some of the pious deeds which make the future bright and obliterate the sorrows, problems, diseases, etc.

One must wake up early in the morning for early morning walk and exercises, must sit on meditation and chant holy name of God, must be away from any addiction and non-vegetarian. Such pious actions lead to long, happy life and bright future.

STUDENT LOSING CONCENTRATION
Concentration is not made on mind, but mind has to be concentrated on particular point or subject etc. It requires practice of Yam, Niyam, Asan, Pranayaam, Pratyahar, Dharnna and Dhyan then one attains Samadhi. In this path, guidance of a spiritual master who knows Vedas and Ashtang Yoga philosophy is needed. Holy name jaap of God helps a lot. I have written a book on Yoga which can be sent on receipt of your postal address. However, personal guidance as stated is essential. It is a moral duty of a student to concentrate on hard study and to look after his health. Avoid bad society always concentrate on your Brahamcharya. Awake early in the morning and after bath-brush etc., do holy name jaap of God at least for fifteen minutes. Go for morning walk and light exercises daily. Take plenty of water i.e., 15-20 glass in a day. Always respect your parents, elders and teachers. Must be soft spoken, Avoid TV to see bad scenes, films etc. This all will help you
to concentrate in your study. Whatever, you study and learn, try to write on rough book a lot without seeing books etc. Please refer to the book- “Brahamcharya-Dukh Nivarak Divya Mani”.

P P: I have read your article on ghosts on the website and my query is resolved. Thank you so much for your inevitable guidance. Pranaam
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you, my daughter. O.K, my daughter.

A S: Question on the kind of marriage and dosha.
Swami Ram Swarup: Arranged marriage is always good. So, you must pray to God to get arranged marriage. As regards Pitra dosh, I paste my article in this regard.

PITR DOSH
There is no such dosh mentioned in the Vedas. Really you need not to worry. Vedas are authentic proof being knowledge direct from God. Yajurveda mantra 7/48 states clearly that we are free to do good or bad/sins, deeds but the result is awarded by God in the shape of happiness and sorrows respectively. So please do not worry if results are not according to your wish. But it is also a fact that hard working towards right path never goes in vain. And god helps those who help themselves. Please continue your hard working and God will sure bless you. Also please do worship of God daily with prayers. Better if you do havan daily from Gayatri mantra.

Garima: Pranam maharaj ji. When we do help to save anyone then why do we get false and anti reward for that help?
Swami Ram Swarup:
Ans. My blessings to you, my daughter. Reward is always wished if a person is not learned. Otherwise Vedas as well as Geeta shloka 2/47 also states that we must only do pious deeds without thinking result thereof. This is told like this in Hindi.-
“Neki kar dariya mein Dal”
Otherwise, a learned person never thinks about the award because good award is always given by Almighty God. So, knowledge of Vedas is required by human-beings at each step to gain and to follow eternal, true knowledge.
