M: It is taught in vedas that we should forget our past and be in present and go on doing good deeds. But, why do people in the society still judge the person on the basis of his past deeds. Say, in past if a person has committed sin but he realizes and start following the path of goodness, why doesn’t society still accept?
Swami Ram Swarup: In this world there are three ways to spend life:
1. Totally spiritual life leaving behind the all moral duties etc.
2. Worldly life whose base is spiritualism i.e., Vedic path but life is spent while discharging all moral duties mentioned in Vedas or other true holy granths.
3. Totally worldly life leaving behind the spiritual Vedic path wherein people always after the materialistic articles of the world.

Vedas tell that above quoted number 2. Path only enable us to spend long, happy life. I mean to say that when Vedas preach us to forget our past and to live in present it means, the said preach relates to above quote number 2. path. The person who follows the said path always remains in present i.e., earns money with hard working to live upon and simultaneously listen Vedas, follow its preaching to perform daily hawan, Yajyen and practice of Yoga Philosophy daily. The said daily worship gives him mental as well as physical strength to bear the criticism of public happily and not with sorrows.

So Vedas preaches us to get progress in worldly pious deeds like progress in science, education, business etc. etc., and simultaneously to continue and get progress in above quoted spiritual path. Mere spiritual life or mere worldly path is condemned by Vedas, so your views in this matter relates to totally worldly thought and hence problem.

The person following path number 2 one day sure becomes able to get his glory, respect from the society again. But the person in lack of above quoted path second will remain always in tension and problem and may turn himself again in sin/crime duly degraded/disgraced by the society. I would include here that the person who are following the above quoted path second, however, will never hate with the person quoted by you. Only those whose are follower of above quoted paths 1 and 3 will spread the ravages of hatred.

Swami Ram Swarup: Kundali, teva aur ghost, present astrology and likewise several other matters are not mentioned in Vedas so learned never accept it. You should never worry about this blind faith. Nobody can decide about death’s time.

Divya: How does brain forms an image?
Swami Ram Swarup: We have been blessed with five sense i.e., eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin. The said matters club the images/information/ knowledge from outwards and send it to mind, mind sends it to intellect and intellect sends the same to the soul so the image forms in brain (mind) through the said procedure.
