Subhash: Pranam Swamiji. Thanks for your mail. But many scholars talk about Garuda Purana where the soul is travelling to heavenly abode during which it has to cross many hurdles for which one has to do such lengthy shraddha gifting various things to Brahmins.
a) Whether the Garuda Purana is part of Veda?
b) What is the real meaning the Garuda purana is telling us.? like people breaking coconut with knowing the real meaning behind it…as Swami Sukhabodhananda says it is the shell which is like our ego very hard to break, the moment you break the shell, you see white kernel which is equal to your pure mind and the sweet water is like your approach later on, etc… is there any hidden meaning behind Garuda Purana? I am seeking your guidance only to get clarity on what we do.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you. You are welcome, please.
(a) Garud Purann does not tally with Vedas, please. So, being against the Vedas, learned do not accept it. Garud purann is not part of Vedas.

Gaurav: I have a friend. He was very close to me and he used to follow what I say. However, we have grown apart. Please tell me a way that he should always get attracted to me.
Swami Ram Swarup: Dosti ka adhar sachchai hotee hai aur jub dosti beech mein hee toot jaati hai to uska matlab hota hai ki pehle dosti achchi tarah se samajh boojhkar satya ke adhar par nahin kee gayi thee. Ab agar weh aapse theek tarah nahin baat kar raha to ab aap khud hee satya aur asatya ka nirnnaya karke agla kadam uthhaiyein usey manana chahein to manaa lein agar nahin to nahin manayein.

Y: Kya koi shaddi se phele physical relationship kare to kya paap hoga ki nahi?
Swami Ram Swarup: According to the Vedas (Yajurveda mantra 8/10 refers) opposite sex must not surrender his/her mind (mann) to other till the completion of marriage. It is sad that nowadays India is forgetting her eternal culture of Vedas and hence the problem. I think that in the absence of knowledge of Vedas (spiritualism) nobody is able to understand the meaning of love. Vedas tell that love with soul to soul is only everlasting and produces extra-ordinary, permanent pleasure. On the other hand love based on physical charm creates problems for entire life.

Ishwar ne hamein yeh jeevan char steps mein poora karne ke liye diya hai. Ab yeh sochna hai ki ab hum Brahmacharya ashram mein koi paap karte hain to Ishwar ne hamein aagey chalkar bahut badi sazaa deikar dukh mein dhakelna hota hai

In this connection, I paste my article below:-

Is to have a relationship before marriage sin?

It is a great sin, please. Yajurveda clearly states that a girl or a boy must never give her or his heart to opposite sex and must never even touch each other before marriage i.e., when marriage is fixed and performed completely thereafter only they can meet. So sins create sorrows. To maintain Brahmacharya is the best way to build life strong and to live a long, happy life. You are advised to read my book on Brahmacharya, if possible.

In Vedas, there is a fundamental law, both for boy and girl, that they should never give their heart to opposite sex till marriage. That is why, in the ancient time, marriage based on swayamvar were performed which avoided one sided love too. So please obey the parents otherwise life would be ruined. The human life blessed by God is meant to follow the Vedic path and to do pious deeds and not sins. As a father, I have advised you please.
