Twinkle: Is there any problem if baby born in Shradh?
Swami Ram Swarup: There is no any problem if a child takes birth on shradh or any day and time, say Vedas. Infact, The custom of performing shradh is also against the Vedas. In this connection, I paste my article as under-

Shubh Din

All the days, week, month, years, minutes, seconds have been created by God and thus are always pious. Regarding the philosophy of deeds, Vedas tell that we have come here to face the previous lives’ deeds (good or bad) according to Rigveda mantra 10/135/1,2 and we have to face the said deeds in the shape of pleasure and pain respectively. So, the days are not concerned with auspiciousness or bad omens. If we do pious deeds today then one day we will enjoy pleasure and if we do bad deeds then in the future on any day we will have to face sorrows awarded by God. So, the day becomes full of pleasure or full of sorrows when we face our deeds as said above. So days are never good or bad but always pious and gifted. So days are never good or bad, but always pious and gifted to us by God to always do pious deeds to enjoy life.

Also the days, nights and times are never ashubh (unfortunate) being created by the purest God. only deeds done by us are bad or good. And based on the previous lives’ deeds we have to face the result thereof accordingly on one particular day and time. So days are not good or bad. It is our own deeds done by us which are bad or good.

So one can enter at one’s own convenience or suitability in his newly constructed house, shop etc., or start any pious work at any time. However, one should perform havan with Ved mantras before ensuing any of those works. It does not depends on any name and date of birth etc. because it is not mentioned in Vedas. We must be always away from blind faith.

SHRADH

At the time of death, the soul comes out of the body and when a person is dead, his body is burnt on pyre. When soul resides in human body, person uses his mouth to eat, ear to listen, eye to see, hand to work, legs to move etc. Now the body has been burnt and the soul remains alone. Alone soul can do nothing but remains in the stage of Sushupt i.e., like in coma. Then after thirteen days, the soul takes rebirth. So how the dead person would eat the food which is made for him during Shradh. So Shradh is not mentioned in Vedas. Vedic meaning of Shradh is to serve the alive parents and elders by providing them with food, bedding and necessary goods etc., faithfully and lovingly.

Vishal: Namaste Guruji. I like to ask whether you realized God in Samadhi Avastha till so far. Does even today Yogi receive Veda Mantra in Samadhi Avastha and which Ved out of four revealed to them by God or just realize God? If a non-Hindi speaker and totally ignorant of Sanskrit language follow Patanjali Yog Darshna technique to realize the God, will he receive Veda Mantra in Sanskrit or his own language which may be English, Arbi, French etc.
Swami Ram Swarup: Namasteji. When a Yogi realises God then he also becomes ved mantra drishta and Vedas are always originated in the original divine Sanskrit language. Devotee will have to listen to Vedas from a Learned acharya whether he learns Sanskrit language or not. The Yog shastra technique regarding Ashtang Yog vidya will then have to be learnt from learned acharya because the way of tradition of realizing God can’t be changed, say Vedas.

Prabhat: Poojya Swamiji – Sadar Charan Sparsh.
Swami Ram Swarup: My blessings to you.
